I've been given a jap pumpkin and want to use it tonight in the roast dinner we are having, so my question..is there a special way to cook it? I have never cooked pumpkin in the oven before and need some advice, Thanks

Roast Pumpkin is my favourite!
I just cut it up into pieces, leaving the skin on (it holds together better)and throw it in the baking tray with my other vegies - potatoes, carrots and onions. I drizzle with olive oil and put some salt on the top.
Roast pumpkin is it's yummiest when it's slightly blackened and crispy on the edge.

I always cut pumpkin into pieces and leave the skin on. But I like to boil it for just 5 minutes then leave to cool slightly before drizzling with olive oil a bit of garlic and some seasoned salt or herbs. Place into baking dish and cook at 200 for roughly an hour. I like to turn them after about half the cooking time. I've found they turn out the best this way.
