Happy Belated Birthday Louise.
Where is everyone?? All good here - Heidi is just a pure delight and am really enjoying her. She had her first lot of needles yesterday ![]() I can't believe she is 8 weeks already where did that go?? How is everyone going at Prep? Cooper is loving it all I need to do now is convince him that me dropping him off at the prep gate and leaving is okay as opposed to getting all of us out of the car and waiting to go into the class with him. Oh well...soon. #4Posted 11 June 2008 - 09:08 AM ![]() Prep - Matthew is loving it! Though yesterday we had tears because at pickup time he decided to go to the car when I was looking for him in the playground (usually I snag a park in the area just outside his classroom) but I parked somewhere different, so he thought I'd gone and left him behind! ![]() ![]() BBL, gotta dash. #5Posted 12 June 2008 - 02:11 PM
Hello everyone
Hope everyone and their families are doing well Been a bit crazy about here. So busy with kids, etc Ryan is now 4 months old and such a delight. Sleeps all night everynight, happy chappy when awake. He can roll onto his belly and I got him a Jolly Jumper y'day so is loving that. But he is growing way too fast ![]() Alyssa is great. Typical 2 yr old with the lovely tantrums. She is one determined stubborn little missy but such a beautiful girl too. Adores all her brothers so much. Thomas is doing so well at school. Level 6 readers, they are actually stories now. Just loves it, he is so settled in and so confident. Just a delight his teacher thinks. Im having an issue with him in the playground. 2 weeks and his $30 grey pants have a hole. 5 weeks in and his $50 sports pants have a hole ![]() Jayden is going along well. Settled into new school fine. Loves his footy too. He starts a tutoring program through the government at his school soon. He was approved for it. Brett is good. Typical teenager, oh the joys. Few little issues at school but more him staying on task and stop socailising in class. He has a nice gf at the moment (he's had many ![]() Boys unfortunately had a sad weekend. One of B's mates dad passed away when the children had arrived at the house. B and J were with the mate when they called in and the sister had said dad had fallen asleep (no other adults at home). He had actually suffered a heart attack and had died. Boys called for ambulance and seeked help from neighbour who commenced CPR and the ambos worked on him when they arrived but to no avail. Unfortunately he had died. Very sad for the family and so sad that the boys have had to go through that, so traumatic. B has been a big support to his mate and will be attending the funeral with him next week. I am returning to work next term. Actually considered not going back until next year but have decided to return 2 days a week instead of 3. Ryan will be onsite as will Alyssa so only a building away. And from 9.15-2.45pm so school hrs again which is great. ![]() Joseph Omg at being 1 already. Louise, How sad that he thought you left, they are so emotional aren't they. Oh no with the lego. We have 2 big tubs here and have to try to be so tough on them playing still with it and putting it ALL away. hard hey Ellie, Wow 8 weeks already. Poor thing with her needles, Ryan had his second lot last week. He didn't cry for first one, but did second. I have to take Thomas in and collect from classroom. I can't even send J in either, must be an adult, they are pretty strict Sorry that's all on this thread. I need to find our list of b'days hey Take care everyone Chat again soon #6Posted 18 June 2008 - 09:48 AM
Hi everyone. Long time no post from me, but I do pop in and
![]() Really just wanted to pop in and tell you all that we are pregnant again. After a very smooth start, I had to rush down to Brissy almost two weeks ago to get a stitch put in my cervix. After a very scary couple of days, everything seems to be settling down, and I am trying to enjoy lots of rest and relaxation as I am on modified bed rest for a little while. I wont bore you with too many other details, but we have made 24 weeks this week, so I am feeling pretty optimistic that we will get to bring this bubby home. Hope you are all going great, and I'll pop back in one of these days to catch up properly ![]() Take care, #7Posted 18 June 2008 - 12:28 PM ![]() ![]() Kristy - OMG Ryan is 4 months already? He is such a cutie (of course). I can imagine your Princess Alyssa bossing all the boys around, too cute! What a sad situation for that family - and for your boys, discovering the dad like that. ![]() ![]() CJ, how are you dear? How is everything? Gotta go get a grumpy baby to bed. #8Posted 18 June 2008 - 09:26 PM
Congratulations AJ. Crossing everything for a long and happy pg. That's great that you've made it this far. Praying you don't have to go down the NICU road again.
Kristy - that's awful what happened to the boys. And I agree with what Louise said, it's a blessing the boy wasn't alone when it happened. How are the boys dealing with it now? Happy Birthday to Joseph! Wow that year has gone so quick. Ellie - great to hear Cooper is enjoying prep. Sam loves school and is doing really well. We get his first report card this Friday and have parent/teacher interview next Wednesday. Heidi is just gorgeous btw. Barb - good on you for getting on the treadmill girl! I am missing that important ingredient - motivation! lol. Rich is still like Forrest Gump - he runs at least 14km a day on our treadmill, and he recently ran his first half marathon (21kms) in great time. Now he's working towards the City to Surf and wants to finish it in under 75 mins as then next year he will start in the 'serious runners' pack at the front. Love to everyone xox #9Posted 19 June 2008 - 12:57 PM
Amanda, Awesome news, Congratulations sweety. I really hope all goes great with this pregnancy and baby stays put. Keep them feet up and keep us up todate when you can on how all is going ok
Louise, He is 5 months old next week, omg We attended the funeral y'day. It was a good funeral (if you can say one is good iykwim) We arrived early to see the bikes roll in and Kev asked us to arrive early. He gave his mates arm bands to wear. The service was very focused on the family and the children where the burial more the Gypsy Jokers, they also totally buried him too rather than just throwing some dirt and flowers in, they took turns with shovels and buried him totally with wreaths and flowers adorning the grave. Lots of alcohol was drunk and celebrating what a man he was and all the good times. Both my boys attended, they also needed their own closure as well as support to Kev. Was very sad. I had Lis and Ryan in cc (his first time) and a friend picked up T from school. Was going to be too loud for Ryan with all the bikes. The procession which we were part of was police escorted, all traffic was stopped and lights changed green so there was no break of the procession. Even police tactics team were taping it, bit freaky but so many bikers. Boys are doing ok, was a big thing for them. http://www.news.com.au/adelaidenow/story/0...5006301,00.html You can see B's mate Kev (well part of his head) on back of black bike at front. Must fly hello everyone Edited by SimplySweet, 19 June 2008 - 01:00 PM. #10Posted 27 June 2008 - 09:35 PM
A bit of a bump for the lonely thread.
OMG Louise I can't believe Joseph is 1! Where is this time going? And Ellie, 8 weeks (more now!) it seems like the announcements were only yesterday. Time is getting away at the moment! AJ I keep checking in on you in BBE, everything crossed things continue on OK. Kristy, that was a very interesting article, I am sorry to hear about the family though and that B was a part of such a sad situation. I thought I would pop in to the Mothers group anyway, MJ went to her first "disco" at school tonight and she is just so grown up now. Convinced one of the boys to give up his treasured glowsticks and he used the rest of his money to buy her a tiara...apparently she has promised to marry him though so perhaps he didn't get too bad a deal. (I bought her her own stuff instead, when I realised what she was doing ![]() Here she is tonight anyway - a little different from the baby in my sig (which was when she was about 6weeks old) ![]() Eliza is good, 3 in 3 weeks, she is already in the big kids room at childcare. We are having a hard time getting her excema under control, but otherwise she has been really good and I love this age. I hope everyone else is well, I check in a bit but don't seem to post much anymore ![]() Edited by ~CJ~, 27 June 2008 - 09:36 PM. #11Posted 05 July 2008 - 01:18 PM
Hi girls!
AJ - congratulations! I hope all goes really well for you and that bub stays in there for at least another couple of months! CJ - what a gorgeous photo, gosh you're clever (and gosh M is beautiful!) Kristy - so sorry to hear about B's friend's dad. How awful. Hope they're dealing okay with all of that. Talitha's on Level 6 readers too (I assume the levels are the same here) and her teacher seemed pretty happy with that. We have clever little buttons. ![]() We're all well. I'm having issues with Talitha but I think it's as much about my emotions and temper atm as her attitude and behaviour. She's doing great at school, her half-yearly report was good and her teacher assures us that she's settling down more and more, and academically she's doing very well. If only she'd settle down so much at home. Beryl is well too. She's loving preschool and has just been invited to her first birthday party. It's so lovely to see her making friends independent of us or Talitha. She's going to start dancing lessons next term. We're always catching her making up little songs and dances, she loves it. Talitha's learning guitar too and she wants to start a dance/drama class so I'm starting to feel like quite the school-mum! Charlie is just over 3 months. He's certainly not following any of those rules people told me about - such as "boys sleep better than girls" and "the third baby settles in more quickly" and "third babies are easier than the first two". Ha. As if. Just as well I knew not to count on any of those things! Sleeps and feeds just the same as Beryl did - ie heaps of the latter and very little of the former. But he's doing well. Getting very big. He's a very smiley happy bubba except for a couple of off periods during the day. Here he is at 3 months... ![]() Okay sorry it won't let me edit that last post so here are the other photos I wanted to post... Charlie 3 months: ![]() Beryl being gorgeous: ![]() Don't have many of Talitha but here's the best one of late: ![]() #12Posted 05 July 2008 - 01:58 PM

Everything is ok here.
I didn't get my job back in the end. The person covering me took it, b**ch. New principal came in and changed things so I wasn't able to then get it. Not happy Jan, I've worked there for so long and worked through so many pregnancies, went back straight after having kids and then this time decide to take 6 months off and that's it, it's gone. Oh well what can you do hey Boys are doing well. Busy busy with footy. School holidays now. Dh and I are doing ok, getting bit back on track, been tough here for a while but we are trying. Lissa is gorgeous but omg at the female 2 yr old tantrums and attitude, hahaha. She is def harder than the boys were, hehe Ryan is just gorgeous. 5mths old now. Growing way too fast. He is teething at moment so not really the happiest chap but apart from that the most content little man #14Posted 19 July 2008 - 08:51 PM
hi all,
just a quick pop in to say hi. it's been pretty slow in here lately. i guess everyone is busy keeping kids amused during the school holidays. All is going well here, keeping out of trouble. Jarred is enjoying his holidays, although i suspect he's ready to go back to school. we have his parent teacher interviews on minday the 28th july. looking forward to that, alot of the teachers and kids call jarred "Elvis" due to his ability to do the "Twist" so well apparently. news to me i must say. will be interesting to learn what else has been going on lol Brock is doing well too, he loves preschool. still gets a bit upset when i leave but mostly he's settled by the time i get home and ring to check on him. trying to make me feel back i bet lol. not going to work though, i've become quite used to my wednesdays kids free. anyay, i better get off here, DH wants to play his war games and apparently i'm slowing down the connection ?!? chat again soon take care Barb #15Posted 28 July 2008 - 09:37 AM
Hi girls
Just thought I'd pop back in and let you know everything is going great so far... I made it to 30 weeks! Woo hoo! The plan at this stage is to take the stitch out at 36 weeks and then I will have to decide whether to stick it out here in Brissy until bub is born or to get home and have bub there. I've really been missing the kids (and they only went home yesterday morning!!!) and just can't wait to be home. Thanks for all the well wishes - seems to be doing the job so far ![]() Kristy - great report for Thomas! very good! Sorry you didn't get your job back... Hi Barb - did you survive the holidays? Sumara - how gorgeous are your kids??? Big hello to everyone else - hope you are going great. #16Posted 29 July 2008 - 02:52 PM
Awesome news Amanda
So happy that everything is going ok with bubs #17Posted 01 August 2008 - 07:59 AM ![]() ![]() Kristy - how big is your baby getting! They don't stay newborns for long, do they? xx L #18Posted 15 August 2008 - 03:54 PM
Hi - just wanted to pop in and let you know that I (fingers crossed!!!!) *should* be able to go home in a fortnights time at 34 weeks. I have to come back at 37 weeks for the stitch to come out, or maybe even 38 weeks, but at least I can go home for a little while!!! I am so excited! Hoping and
![]() Louise - thanks for the offer. I have been on modified bed rest (eating and bathroom priveleges) at my in-laws for the past 9 weeks. Was only in hospital for 4 days - which was more than enough! Gotta go - Josh is about to wake up! #19Posted 17 August 2008 - 05:46 PM
Amanda that is great news, it must make the pregnancy seem so much longer having to be away from home for so long- I didn't cope with the couple of weeks I was away
![]() #20Posted 22 August 2008 - 02:20 PM
Thinking of you Amanda
![]() Hope bubs stays put. So happy for you that things are going along ok. Enjoy your time at home. #21Posted 29 August 2008 - 12:22 AM

Sorry for the cut'n'paste - a bit time poor atm...
Hi everyone. Apologies for not being around, much has happened, & now that I am home I've been trying to get our house sorted out. Anyway, my news... Riley James arrived at 11:03am on Friday the 12th September. He weighed a respectable 6lb 12 oz at just over 36 weeks. Apart from some feeding issues to begin with - mostly due to his hurried arrival in to the world - he is now just perfect. I am so in love with our new little man! ![]() Sorry for no personals I will try to pop back in to catch up on all thats been happening! #23Posted 24 September 2008 - 04:48 PM
Oh congratulations AJ on the safe arrival of Riley. He is just gorgeous.
#24Posted 25 September 2008 - 06:29 AM ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() #25Posted 25 September 2008 - 04:34 PM
Congratulations Amanda!! oh he is just sooo sweet, and looks huge too in that photo! I am so happy everything went well and you are finally home and relaxing now.
How are the DINs going? Madelyn is well, really doesn't understand why she can't have three husbands when she grows up though, because she is finding it very difficult to decide which one would be better...BUT this week J said please, so she is going with him. C is devastated and had his Mum come and discuss it with me on his behalf, I don't think T knew he was a candidate. She's very interested to know how it is possible when she marries him that she won't have to have children, because she doesn't want any. When on earth are we supposed to explain that? We have some lovely books but I really really think she is too young. My attempts at explaining without actually explaining are probably just complicating the situation in her head further though ![]() Hope everyone is doing well!
