Has anyone here done any business with Fox Symes? I am looking at a consolidation loan and am not sure if it is better to go to our bank or to a company like this?

Go with a bank or credit union first. They should be an absolute last resort. My DP went to the for a consoidation loan and they said oh here this is better do this but never really told him about it until a month or so later when he found out he was doing a part 9 agreement which basically ment he was bankrupt the only difference was he had to pay everyone back for 3 years.

. . . .and Fox Symes charge a big fee to boot for 'helping' you.
I agree with PP, got to bank or CU first, they might give a way better offer.

Thanks so much for the advice, I think I will give them a wide berth!!

I called Fox Symes once as I wanted to know the deal with Part 9 agreements.
The person I talked to was nothing short of awesome. He talked to me for nearly an hour, went through all my financial details, and while he could have talked me into doing a Part 9 (and no doubt gaining himself a nice commission of some sort), he actually steered me away from that and away from the company altogether (thus gaining nothing but a waste of his time). I will never forget that - it was pure help out of the goodness of his heart.
Anyway, I'm sure that the whole company is not like this man lol - but I was impressed, and appreciative.

I did speak to them and they said to speak to our bank!! So the person I spoke to wasn't very pushy either.
