Baking jacket potatoes

What is a good method for baking jacket potatoes to stuff with fillings?
Obviously you bake them but how do you prepare the, do you wrap in foil, how long to bake etc.
Once baked and you add the filling do you put back in the oven.....

I spray them with oil, stab them and bake. I find that foil baked ones are soggy.
I also would bake them again after adding filling.

I preheat a very hot oven, usually 250c. Stab them all over with a fork, wet with water and put in the oven. Bake for about 1-1.5hrs depending on the size of the potato, until the skin goes hard and crispy.

I stab them all over with a fork, rub them with oil then rub them with a little salt (the only thing we add salt to).
Bake straight on the oven rack without a tray for about an hour 20 depending on how big they are.

I cheat cause I can't be bothered waiting an hr or so for them to cook in the oven.
I use my electric steamer. I half cut them in quarters, without actually breaking into quarters, and place in steamer and steam for 30-40 mins. You don't get crispy skin but they are quick easy and healthy cause there is no oil.
After cooked I add my toppings and eat. Yummo, might have to make some soon!

I'm with beccajayne in the can't be bothered department
I prick mine with a knife, put them in the microwave for 3 mins on each side.
If we want crunchy skin I pop them into a very hot oven for a couple of mins or so afterwards.
Mmmmm baked potato...

I do mine straight on the oven rack as well for over an hour. I use the unwashed potatoes, whatever they are.

Thanks for all the replies. I used to wrap mine in foil and they were always soggy too, so will do it without this time. Now to come up with some interesting fillings
