JB - I know how you feel about your child having to go through surgery.  Josh was diagnosed with Pyloric Stenosis at 11 weeks and was operated on, I have never felt so helpless in my life and don't think I took a breath throughout the 45 minute operation.  I'm sure everything will go well on the 27th and look forward to hearing about her progess on your return.

I can't believe how quickly the time has gone for Kim & Mazee, it seems like yesterday when we were reading the great news of their pregnancy.  Looking forward to reading about their birth stories in the next couple of weeks.

I'm suffering terribly today with a massive hangover!!  We went to the Cox Plate yesterday and over did it big time on the champers.  A hangover and a 21 month old DS don't mix, I'll have to remember that next time.

US and PCT scheduled for me tmw morning.  We have to BD tonight, my head is aching so much at the moment, I hope it subsides a little by then!!  I'll know when the IUI will be scheduled for after tmw so looking forward to that.  Having to inject this morning and feeling the way I did was not very pretty, I'm surprised I didn't stab myself in the leg instead of the belly!!

Will pop back again later this week with an update.

Take care everyone, especially the new mums2be soon.

Hi all,

Just a very quick one. JB, I was just reading the last locked thread and when you mentioned Analeise being in the local paper in the Toy Library article I went and checked it out - very cute! We are in the same toy library! It is such a small world isn't it? Did you get the email the other day with the photos from the Whitehorse Spring Festival? Well, if you did, that was me on the stall in them!

Good luck with her op. I can only imagine how scary it will be to have your baby going through an operation. If Ethan had to go through one I would be beside myself even though I know it would be doing him good.

Well, I wonder when the new baby news will start to appear...!?!? Hope all you soon to be mums are resting up.

Mergie, hope you were feeling better and were able to do the deed'last night LOL! Sounds like you had a fun time at the races though!

Just rocking along for me until our appointment with Dr Nick on the 2nd December. God it seems like forever until then.

Hope everyone else is well.

Jill, how funny is that!  I put it here cause out of 15,000 members that have to be some that get the Whitehorse paper.  I'm disappointed it was a crap photo but what can you do!  Her carer takes her to the toy library about once every 3 weeks.

Email about the Whitehorse spring festival?  I dont subscribe to emails from the council but can you PM me the link.  I'd love to see you!  We nearly went to that!  But went to Greenborough market instead as the plants are dirt cheap there.  We probably grocery shop at the same place and have wheeled trollies past each other LOL!  Sure is a small world.

Girolama if you are reading i have pm'd you.

Hi guys1 So sorry I've been absent but at home with Dial Up it's so hard just to get into read sometimes!

However, all going well and THANKS JB for the update! I am just not up to it at the mo!

I am suffering Ante natal Depression I reckon! Had a shocker day yesterday! Basically just feeling alone and sorry for mysefl! DH is so busy with work and the house that I feel (unjustly so) that he is not as "invovled" in this pregnancy! I know deep down this is crappola but I can't tell my black mood to cut it out!
Feeling better today but really lacking in GF support!
If I have a prob with DH I am without emotional crutches as he is it usually!

Just don't have the freindships here that allow me to "burden" them with my sorrows! Nigel No Friends! Tounge1.gif

Thank God for EB and chocolate is all I can say!

Mazee gave birth to a georgeous little girl Gabrielle on Saturday 23/10 at 1.50pm!
Her waters broke at midnight Friday (and D'KH was HOME!).
She went to hospital at 6am!
Fully dilated at midday (if I remember correctly) and Gabrielle was born at 1.50pm after a lot of pushing as the placenta was small and the cord short so it took a bit of effort! original.gif
She weighed 2.510g and was 46cm long!
Mum and Bubs are well!
She should be home today actually!
Am going to call her now!

Oh, And D'KH cried when he held her for the first time!

She asked me to post on Sat and I totally forgot (slap my wrists) to come in here! Will you forgive me???' Please, pretty please?????? blush.gif

Hi Guys,

How is everyone
JB good luck with your DD surgery I am sure it will all go well.

Well I have definiately booked in for a CS on 3/11 I was suppose to be done next monday but being the day before cup OB couldn't find staff so now it is wednesday.

I had to have a scan last week to check size of baby because of the GD and he is already larger than average but have actually managed to keep the GD down.

So just over a week for me, I am still trying to finalise my work.  OB gave me a stern warning today about resting.

Thats all from me.

Kim hope you start to feel better,  I think it would be the hardest thing not to have GF support, sometimes it good to get it out especially if DH is a problem.  You can pm me or email me I am usually up late at night as you can see or if you have messenger we can chat online.

I hope like JB said that the rest of you get your BFP before the end of this year.

All the best to all.

Fantstic News! Congratulations Mazee on the birth of Gabrielle. What a beautiful name. Love the fact that DK'H cried when he first held her. Glad to hear you are both well (and hopefully home now!).

Good luck for next Wednesday Stella. Trust the Melbourne Cup to get in the way!

JB, the email was from the Toy Library so there isn't a link. If you would like me to forward the photos/email on to you  just pm me with your email address. They send stuff out every now and then.

Better go and get ready for a very busy day!

Guesty and Kim, good luck to you girls for next week.  Wow this is so exciting, looking forward to your news.

Guesty - Enough with the work already!! time for resting my dear.

Kim - I hope you're feeling better today. You're forgiven!!

JB - Thinking of you and Analeise today and tmw. I'm sure you will be relieved when it's all over.  Just in time for your Lone Rangers to come on board.

As for me, triggered this morning at 8am so just waiting for ovulation.  I've been seeking advise on when to BD and keep getting conflicting opinions.  If I will O in about 36 - 48 hours after the trigger I figure I should "get to it" tonight and tmw night.  I'm so worried I am going to miss this window of opportunity.  I've done a google search and even that tells me to time intercourse for around 48 hours after trigger, this sounds too late for my liking. Everything I've read says the sperm has to be there before the egg but I'm not sure if DH swimmers are up to it so I don't want to be too early and definitely not too late.  ARGHHHHHHHHHH this is stressing me to the max.

I'd love another opinion if anyone's got one!!
I am going to ring my Dr tonight just to make sure.

Will pop back later this week to see if we have any other news.

Good luck to everyone wherever they are in their cycles.

Take care

Girolama - Naughty, naughty, smacky botty for keeping the
news from us for so long! Sorry you are missing the GFs.
Italian chicks are weird, not much good as gfs, they don't
seem to trust you unless you are their cousin or something. I
took me years and years of living in Rome to make good gfs
and they were all out-there crazy Sicilian runaways, lol. Just
keep using up those phone cards and talk for hours in the
bath with your Australia gfs. Maybe that will do the trick along
with some chocky snaks on a floating plate??? Perhaps you
need some hands on pampering, massage, pedicure, etc?

JB - hope the op went ok and you are spooning ice cream
into Analeise's mouth as I type this.

Mergie - wishing you strong swimmers, perfect eggs and
extra determined and sticky babes. Sorry can't help with the
timing thing. What if you BD more than once so there are
some 'waiting to pounce' and more on the way? Even with
good quality CM, it takes quite a few hours for them to swim
all the way right?

Kit - what happened with the scan???? All ok?

Hi to everyone else, nothing interesting happening with me.

WOW!! Ive missed the most exciting news of all...birth of Gabrielle.  Well done Mazee!   Been MIA for a while, computer fritzed up for one, and have been a bit self absorbed lately too.  (not good).  The IUI happened on the 18th, and have had sore boobs ever since.  Since found out its a side effect of injecting Pregnyl.  I also have to use pessaries at night (yucko), coz my progesterone is tooo low.  Think thats a sure sign the IUI didnt work.  Also been so stressed at work, so I dont hold out much hope for this month.   :quest:  All the best girls, will personalise next time.  PS..JB can you update me as doing IUI now?  ta buddy

Mazee! wonderful news about your baby Girl arriving, congrats to you and your DH. I just love the name too it really is a gorgeous name.

Kim- You poor chook! It sounds like that awful stage of the last few weeks has hit you. It can really make you feel down and out. They  really are the worst weeks of pregnancy, I feel so sorry for you. I hope that your little one decides to come just a tad early for you,to help ease some of the depression. I guess not being at work lets your mind think about other things a bit too much too. Chin up, not long now original.gif

Mamadom- Still haven't had my scan as yet sad.gif It is on Friday morning, and I am very nervous about it. Oh well, there is nothing else for it but to face it head on..lol Will let you know soon as I get home on Friday.

Take care everyone

Hi All - I'm here!

ohhhh Sue, I'm absolutely balling....... what a day...

Well Gabrielle is a trooper - yep one week off and about 2 days of real rest and then she just had to come along - just like her mum really!

Kim basically got it - thanks for that Kimmie - more red wine and champers on your arrival to Sydney my girl!

Waters broke at 0030 - and I was laughing..... well for a short time anyway..
0100 first set of contractions 8 mins apart
0330 contractions now about 4-5mins apart
0530 ring hosp and say i'm very uncomfortable now and want some help!
0615 arrive rpa birthing centre
between 0615 and say 1130 - i'm in the shower, in the bath on the mat, walking around, sitting, standing, can't get comfy, back in the bath, back out, on the loo, standing up.... get the picture.......

1130 to 1330 more moving standing, squatting, needed gravity to help out.....

Had the DK'H and my best g'friend with me (and of course midwife)  DK'H was actually really happy to have my best girlie there coz he was getting buggered.

OB (well my OB's partner coz mine was away for the w'end - charming to meet this guy for the first time and shove my fanny in his face.....) arrived at say 1330 and then it was on...... 1350 out she came and was looking around heaps.  NO DRUGS for me!!!  Gabrielle came into the world at 37weeks and 1 day....

But no one said how much my fanny would still be hurting and not to mention the poo poo area!  I have to laugh at it all.......

We came home on Monday and have been settling in pretty well.  She is just beautiful.

I don't know how to stick a pic on here - can someone give me really idiot proof advice.....?

And quickly, Wally update - well she has slowed down a heap since being home, I think she was waiting till the bubba arrived, I've been balling my eyes out over so much - hormones can be a pain..... Spoke with the vet today and he'll probably come by in the next couple of days to administer that final pain relief for Wally.  I'm just a mess........

But other than that, DK'H has good moments and then those old ones..... never mind - he is smitten by the little one - but it's still early days....... but it's all a little better.

I hope you're all well and happy and will stay in touch on this thread.

Love and hugs to all

Hi Guys!
I slept pretty well last night and feel a little better able to cope with the world today iykwim?

I woke up on Tuesday morning with a little spotting (wasn't overly concerned about that) but I felt like I was getting my period. The cramps were unreal. So I booked myself into the OB and took my mum along with me. Funny how every other time I've asked her to come with me, she's always had something else on but this time she happened to be home and doing nothing (meant to be I think).
I told the OB what was going on and his face pretty much said it all. I posted in the miscarriage thread the full story (I can't stop crying) so I won't go into it all again.
I think the thing that I find the hardest to cope with is that my baby had been gone for nearly 3 weeks but I had no idea.
DH is using the "It's all for the best" coping mechanism at the moment. Since I told him that the OB said there was something wrong with our angel's head, he has hung on to that.
He's a very practical person and he looks at things practically. I don't think he's really grasped that even though I can see the practical side of it as well, I am a mother first and foremost and I have lost a child. He has been honest with me and told me that although he dearly wanted this baby as well, it really didn't seem real to him just yet and he was looking forward to the 19 week scan to make it real. So he isn't feeling the loss like I am. BUT - he's here for me and has endless cuddles and holding my hand on tap. He's taken time off work to be with me and help out with Miss Two so that's a really big thing in my eyes.
The other really hard thing is the reaction of my oldest two. My 15 year old son has taken it the hardest. I just didn't have the words to console him the other day and had to send my Mum in to him. He's hardly spoken about the baby since.
I'm going to get another ornament for the Christmas tree - we all have one (even the dog LOL) so this baby needs one as well. I think I'll get Brendan to help me choose it.
Well I've rambled enough.

Mazzeeee - I'm so thrilled for you and yes it does hurt doesn't it? original.gif
Give your baby a special cuddle for me okay?

DD Hoping to make it to 3

Hi Girls,
We're finally home with no tonsils or anenoids.  Wish I could say it was easy-going experience but it wasn't!  Surgeon said her tonsils were jianormous.  She is not a well or happy girl.  Apart from removing her tonsils, she came home with a bruised chin from surgery and gastro....then i got the gastro today sad.gif  Really bad experience.  Analeise has been so unbelievably clingy since the op.  1st day just after the op she slept in my arms all day in a chair, she would not go into a bed!  She has really been quite traumitised by the whole thing.  Won't go into it here but she went hysterical before the op (she hadn't eaten for 16hrs, (They delayed us) and she had a bad reaction to the sedative drugs.  It was really distressing to watch and I'm really upset they made a frightening situation already for her far worse, they just don't care too many kids having ops.  Anyway like i said she is in a lot of pain and very upset.  Will be glad when she is back to her old self in 2 weeks.

Minni, i am just so sad to read your dreadful news.  I am so terribly sorry.  That is just so unfair getttng to 16 weeks and have this happen.  Our thoughts are with you, please take care.

Not going to chat on tonight, i am really tired and hanging for my own bed!
