JB could  please change Cdvreede to Cathy44.  Hope the flight went well, I understand it seems to get worse the older they are.. I am sure there is an age it gets better.. We flew quite a lot when DD was a baby now if my DH says he is off for work I dred it(and love it) when he says we can go to.  DD and I usually go a bit later and return earlier..Until now it has been Adelaide, Brisbane Melbourne, now he is talking about Asia, being pregnant doesn't help.

Now I have to worry about what to do for a 2 year old birthday..

Hi Girls,

Well I bet those of you who remember me will probably get a fright seeing my post. I am not lost, still here! Sorry, just got a full-time job and have been in shock ever since. Also I think the break from EB has been good for me a little, not from you great oldies, more from the sad places. I think I needed to try and make some space for a more positive outlook for the arrival of Peachy.
I will have to do a big read up on all your news for next post as it's way too late as usual and I am still up.
All is going OK for me. I was SO tired and cranky earlier but now that they worked out I have GD and have been getting it under control with diet and shots I feel great. Peachy will probably be a chunker as a result though. Perhaps a bit painful to deliver but better than IUGR anyday.

So many of the pg girls in here are getting close to deliver. Gummybear!

JB- Analeise looks gorgeous in your sig. I am so happy that lone ranger is almost half way here.

Mergie - Good on you for going to IVF. You are amazing, remember that.

Good luck to all those TTC

I'll be back with a longer post when I have caught up on the news and it's not past my bedtime.

Mamadom it's so nice to hear from you and hear that all is well.  Understand this must be a difficult mixed emotions time for you so you must do what you have too.  We were just worried about you gone for so long.  Please come back and let us know what you had, it's disappointing when the others don't come back even weeks later to let us know what they had.  Look after yourself ok.

Cathy, sorry about not changing your ID before, i know you've asked me before but i forget running a few support threads, but done now.

Snippa, how did your n/f scan go?

Mergie how about your counselling and appointments?  Are you ready to roll now?

LJV, hope you are feeling somewhat better after your 1st neg, its hard to get back on the horse.

Gummybear still there?  Good luck!

I had my 4 weekly ob appointment this morning.  God such a relief to hear the heartbeat.  I always start convincing myself bad things on the way in to prepare myself for the worse, i think it is a protection thing after all this time.  We discussed the birth today and he is not wanting me to go vag delivery sad.gif  My past history, age and Analeise weighed 9 1/2 pounds at birth are all against me, anyway will discuss later on.  I have the big 20 week scan next tuesday.

Flying to Sydney tomorrow with Analeise, so will be offline till next tuesday.  Behave yourselves everyone!
Take care

Hi Girls – Sorry its been a while  - busy at work which is good – it helps the time pass – I am down to 34 working days now which is great – But because it is so close to my due date I am trying to make sure all is done at home. Eg. Bubs room, bags packed and a few meals for DH & DS in the freezer to stop them from having take-away the whole time I am in hospital.

I am starting to have a bit of trouble sitting to long at my desk – but then again I need to go to the loo about every hour so it gets me up for a stretch.

I hope you all had a fabulous Easter – I did and I managed to keep the chocolate consumption under control

SLJ – hope the MS is under control by now

JB – I bet you are so looking forward to your scan on Tuesday – enjoy!!! I remember hearing the heartbeat for the first time I could just sit & listen to it all day.

Sorry if I have missed anyone but I really must do some work now.

Take care

Evening Ladies

Great to hear from Mamadom, gee not long now, what an exciting time ahead for you.

Cathy - So glad all the results are in and everything is AOK

Chrissy - It's getting close for you too, hope your work load starts to settle a little.

Gummybear - Can't wait for your news, good luck.

Hi to everyone else from the March thread, hope you are all well.

Update for me is I collected all my drugs today and spray.  I'm just waiting on AF who is due tmw and then I get into it.  Who'd have thought I'd be waiting for AF rather than dreading her lol. Our talk with the counsellor was very positive, I was given a book called "Taking Charge of your Infertility" which is a great read and is settling my mind already on what to expect next and strategies on how to cope if the IVF doesn't work.

So it's battle stations for me, hopefully by mid April I'll have at least 1 little embie on board who wants to hang around for 8 months or so.

Thanks for the support ladies, it's so welcome and needed believe me.

Have a great weekend.

Take care

Hi all

Gummybear - hope you are cuddling a little one now.

Mamadom - great to hear from you again, glad to read that you are travelling along well and moving ever closer, no matter how long it seems!

JB - 20 week scan!  doesn't seem that long ago we were all crossing our fongers for the LR....Good luck!

Chrissy - Nearly finished work, I wish!  lol Hope the time flies by for you.

Mergie - Good to hear you so positive and excited, and horror of horrors waiting impatiently for AF!!  lol Hope she arrives on time and you can get things rolling!

Not a lot to report here, 9 weeks today, so sign of any problems, but like everyone else I'll be more happy after the next scan, in a few weeks time. Going back to the drs through the week to make a few plans, how often I ned to go in, future scans etc. and make arrangements for the 12 week and NT scan and other testing.
M/s is still with me although doesn't seem so bad now, reckon I'm learning to manage it better, not letting myself get hungry etc. I'm also finding when the m/s isn't so bad, I'm now noticing the tiredness more.
Trying to eat properly, when the body allows, find I'm wanting junk food at the moment, had to have crispy strips from KFC today, and had way too much choccie over easter, still it was the only thing that made me feel better!  lol Depsite the bad things I'm still holding steady weight wise, no increase.
Told my bosses at work through the week, and I expected them to be surprised, but they weren't. They are busy making plans now, It is a bit of a novelty for them, ours is a smallish company about 30 people, and I'm one of only two women in the plant area, and the only one to require maternity leave..lol so it is very new for them!  lol

AF tortured me yet again, this time by being 2 days late.  I was starting to think the HPT I did gave me a false negative lol.  Anyway she finally arrived this am and I have to wait until after 10 to call the nurses.  I'll start sniffing tmw and injections Wednesday.

Let the good times roll ..............

Just checking my sig was DDs 2nd birthday on Saturday and have been sick ever since.  I have been told there are a few bugs around and as usual they turn up as DH has to go OS for work..No that's not fair, Last year we went to a 1st birthday for one of the kids in my mum's group and I started vomitting on the way out..then continued all easter and DD started after me..SO DH had a great Easter and this year I had MS.  DD is getting to watch loads of Wiggles I feel guilty.

Hi Ladies –

Mergie & SLJ – I am thinking about asking If I can have my working day reduced by an hour each day  -  or having each Wednesday off, because its getting  very tiring. DH wants me to give up the gym but I really like going there. I like going in the mornings  - & you can have breakfast there. I find it’s a bit of ME time in my day. Because I don’t hink I will have much me time soon I might as well enjoy it now.

SLJ – I hope that the scan comes around quickly for you. I can remember waiting and it seemed like an eternity.

Cathy – M/S should ease up for you soon – fingers crossed for you.

Not too much else to report here  - waiting for my 33 week check up ( a few days early) on Friday. If bub is still breech, I will be OK till 36 weeks I think then start worrying.

Take care girls

Chrissy - Wow I can't believe you're still going to the gym!!  When I was pg my hours were 7.30 to 4.30, 5 days a week, I was contracting at the time and my contract ended early October so I had 7 weeks at home before DS arrived.  I nearly drove myself nuts, this was the first time I'd had off in years and I didn't know what to do with myself.  I think cutting one day a week from your work load will do you wonders and also give you a whole day of 'me' time.  Go for it, good luck with the bosses.

I did my first 200iu Puregon shot this am, no problems just jabbed it in.  I do find the Synarel spray gives me an immediate headache for about an hour after it which is a pain and I'm getting a cold!! I've taken it really easy today, I don't want this cold to get any worse.

Hidey Ho to everyone else.

Hi Oldies,
Mergie, good to hear you are well on your way now.  Pain in the neck about the headaches but like i told you we all get different or no symptoms from the drugs and it can even vary cycle to cycle.  Syneral made me feel really down and teary, once i started injecting i felt better.

Susan good to hear all is well with you and 9 weeks already!

No news from any of our past due date mums?

Had our 20 week 3D scan yesterday original.gif  Awesome.  It just really brings it home again how lucky we are to be blessed again and with by the looks of things a healthy well developing baby.  The stonographer did say the ranger had long arms and legs so looks like another tall child like Analeise.  No word on the sex, just one very active baby that didn't want to share its private parts!  Getting lots more movement now and feeling great this 2nd trimester.

Trip to Sydney was full on and quick.  Great for Analeise to spend some time with her cousins/aunties & uncles.  One of her aunties made a surprise trip out from London for 3 weeks for the party and taught Analeise to say 'Aunty Mary is the greatest, yey'.  Funny the first time, but she is still saying it!!!!
Well better get back to work seeing i am slipping this in cause my boss is in a meeting.
Hope everyone is doing well.

Hi girls,

I thought it would be good to join in here if I can?

I definitely qualify as an oldie (me 43, DH 35). We're about to start on fresh ICSI cycle #5 (in late April) after a year off (needed to unstress about it all). We're having a go with my eggs again - though this doesn;t give us much chance.

I lurk here from time to time as it's nice to hear what others in the same general age group are doing (in fact I may have posted a couple of times?).

Evening Ladies

JB - sounds like you had a great time in Sydney.  The 3D ultrasound sounds amazing, I hope you got it all on film.

Vicki - Welcome to you.  I'll join you on your IVF journey if you like.  I hope you have success this time round.

I'm feeling OK. I've only had mild cramping/pain in my right ovary so the Puregon must be doing something.  I haven't missed a sniff yet (touch wood)I'm hanging out for next Thursday to see how it's all going. Received the MIVF invoice yesterday, wow, I knew what to expect but it still made me cringe when you opened it. lol.

The weather is going to be great here in Melb this weekend.  Looking forward to finishing off some painting outside and might even manage to wash my filthy car.

Have a good one girls.

Bye for now.

Hi Guys!
Just a quick pop in. I know I've been quiet lately - still trying to get my head around the fact that my due date is on Wednesday and here I am with nothing!!
This isn't a whinge - sorry about all my other complaining posts. I just felt that I'd take an EB break for a little while. Still checking in on you all (woo hoo on the great scan JB and way to go Mergie).
Well, I actually think I O'd this month. I'm not charting per se but I pulled out the kid's thermometer a couple of weeks ago and decided to take my temp each day just to get an idea. It went up and then a couple of days ago I had a dramatic drop and now it is up again.
I'm not going to read anything into it just yet - just that I know that I am o'ing again. AF is due on Friday, but the last couple of cycles she has come 2-3 days early so I'll just see how this week pans out.

Have a great weekend everyone! I'm off to the state archives today and also to the head office of the Genealogical society in Qld to do some family history research. Going with SIL and one of her friends so should be a fun girl's day out.

Hi All,

Sorry been MIA for a few days, have been ill, don't know if it is just my blood pressure dropping further, (can't go much lowerdown in the 80's now!!) or whether I've picked up a bug, either way…hasn't been pleasant. No vomitting, but not able to sit up for more than 10 minutes, trying to have a shower is an exercise in frustration!
Now I get to go to Melbourne tomorrow! 2 and half hour trip to take my brother to the airport.

Oh well hopefully feeling better soon.

I have a doctors appointment Wednesday, and hopefully will be able to arrange a scan in the next couple of weeks, maybe after the scan (all being well), It will start to feel more real.

My eating has been somewhat erratic, have to eat whatever I feel like at the time....not always good, otherwise I just can't eat. Was holding steady weight wise for a while but lost a kilo this week, I'm hoping I'll start to feel better soon and get back to normal eating.

Mergie - Happy sniffing! Good luck.

Cathy - hope you are feeling better.

Chrissy - yes this scan seems to be taking forever....lol

JB - Pleased to hear the scan went so well.

Minni - fingers crossed for O!!  You have to watch them genealogy things, it can get you hooked real quick! (and I speak from experience)lol

Vicki - Welcome!

Well must go my 10 minute 'upright' period feels like it is about to expire....

Hi Girls -

Just popped in to say HI -

Susan - I was the same in the first stages I only ate what I wanted  - and if I couldn't have that I just did not bother too much - I have been taking elevit so I guess I didn't miss out on too much. I do hope you are feeling better, maybe its your iron levels ???

Wishing star -you poor thing  - having M/S for so long I really hope it clears up for you & you can enjoy the second half a little more.

Minni - take care - Hope you are doing OK - Sound like a nice day out with the girls - I believe you have far motre patience than me being able to sit & learn about your family history - I am lucky DH has his family tree on his fathers side traced all the way back to the 1600s in Poland - and its all nice & naet in a book.

Vicki - welcome aboard.

JB - How fabulous that the scan went well - our bub did not want to share its secret with us either so I guess it will be a surprise (the way its supposed to be )

Mergie - I just cant see the point in quitting the gym now although DH would like me to - I only go four times a week & do half an hour on the treadmill and then some light weights. I have put on 9kg already and I would hate to think what it would be if I was not getting regular excercise. I asked today to be dropped bakc to four days a week, so I will have every Wednesday off. I will see how that goes for the next few weeks.

I really hope all is well with everyone - take care.
