Hi everyone, just popping in with a quick update

Mamadon - gee, I am sooo very glad to hear from you. I;ve missed your posts but totally understand that you needed a break - when do you finish work?

JB - 20 weeks!!!!! That time has flown.

OK, carn't remember the rest of the personals and I'd best soon get off this computer.

I'm getting rather nervous at the moment - but know that hopefully that's normal. Doing well - Ob pleased, bub head down bum up, kicking legs into my rib cage. Feeling tired and did I say nervous. DS was a 35 weeker but I'd like to go to at least 37 (then yes, young lady you can be born). It's not so much labour that I'm nervous about but just having a new born and the changes to our lives - but heck, looking forward to seeing her - just not until 37 weeks!!!!!  wink.gif

Well, I'll leave here,

Jo.

Hi everyone thanks for everyone that hopes I am better, I think so but because I feel better I have been doing more and feel tired now and just feel "off".  Had a great morning DD came out wearing my Lipstick all over her body..She can now reach the top of the Bathroom benchtop, time to rearrange.  Pity it wasn't one of those ones I never wear.  Not that I wear lipstick anymore but if I do it was that one.

Minni My dad started tracing our family tree and has found some which came from Prussia My DHs father also started and they came from places around there too ( they are Dutch)

DD wants a "DDD"  it is a educational one  she doesn't like Sesame Street, scared of the monsters.. Better go..

Susan - Hope you're feeling a little better and your blood pressure is has stopped dropping.

Rae - How's that ms going?, you poor thing, thinking of you.

Minni - Thinking of you too.

Chrissy - How'd the bosses take to your proposal?

hugs - Congrat's and welcome.

Jo - How's the nerves?  I'm so excited for you, not long now.

Cathy - I know what you mean about reaching everything, DS can climbs up to the fruit bowl and has a bite of everything in it!!  ARGHHH!!

I had my scan today, there are 5 follies, 4 on the left measuring 17, 15, 13 and 12mm and 1 loner on the right measuring 13.  My lining is 8mm and the Dr is pleased with all of this.  I will know on Saturday arvo when pick up is, it's either Monday or Tuesday depending on their Theatre schedules. I'm getting quite excited now, can't wait until this bit is over.

Will update you on the egg quantities/qualities when I know.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Take care

Hi all,

Been MIA for quite some time (oops).Got sucked big time into my "Due in Group" who are hard to keep up with. We're up to our 97th thread!

So thought I'd better announce the arrival of Nicholas David on March 15. He weighed 6lb 10oz and was 49cm long. He's alot bigger now, but did drop his weight so we had to feed every 3 hours and now he's decided he'dlike it every 2, so not much sleep or time for EB at the moment.  Ended up having another C/S after wanting to VBAC, but my BP got the better of me and after spending the last month of my preg in and out of hospital he needed to come out at 37 weeks.

Big brother Angus isn't too impressed.  I've had to separate their car seats in the interests of saving Nic from any brain injury and his sight.  He does love him but I think he's just worked out that the baby is a permanent fixture. Oh well we're battling along.

Hi all,

Just a quick update today.

Feeling a lot better than my last post...would want to be...lol I figgure I must have picked up a bug of some sort....don't think the 'tadpole' was wholey responsible for that one....lol

Still getting patches of yuck, mainly in the evening now, but it is managable, and hopefully (fingers crossed) for not a lot longer. Although I must say now that the m/s isn't as bad, I'm noticing the tiredness more.....just can't win!  lol

Been back to the Dr's for my next visit, had the BT for the maternal screening, and am booked in for the NT next Thursday. Got a bonus with the scan, after making the booking the scan place rang me back and offered me a 3D scan instead of the normal one....apparently they are thinking of buying a 3D scanner and have one on trial for the day of my scan...and they needed guinea pigs....so of course I jumped at the chance....no other 3D scans around here!.

So hopefully next thursday will show everything as it should be and it all starts to feel more real!

Chrissy - Iron level are actually ok, suspect that the blood pressure is causing much of my misery.

hugs - Welcome!

Jo- Fingers crossed for a minimum of 37 weeks!

Cathy - Maybe DD is planning a career in modelling, they do start awfully young now days....lol

Mergie - Everything is sounding positive......good luck.

Kaz - Congratulations on the arrival of Nicholas David!

Minni - Thinking of you.   hugs

Stay Strong! Think Positive!

Hi girls.

I am a newbie (sort of).

Had my first OB visit today. He was great, and thorough. During my scan he told me that I am 9 weeks and 1 day. I thought I was 10 weeks and 5 days. Dr was very pleased, and I saw our baby's heartbeat! I am due on the 17 Nov ,JB. I have been very sick though, not interested in food or fluid. I can tolerate only a few things. Getting ready for my NT scan in a few weeks. Had to tell my bosses given my m/s, and feeling very eager to tell the family, probably next weekend they live 4 hours away and I want to tell them face to face. Hope everyone is going well, and on your way to a healthy motherhood.

Hello all,

Just thought I would pop in and let you all know that
our bebe has arrived!! It's a gorgeous girl (we didn't
know but I always felt intuitively that she was a
girl- which was just as well as we didn't really have
a boys name!!!). She was "officially" due on the 27th
March but decided to make her appearance on the 4th
April! I had a totally drug free labour (lasted about
22 1/2 hours according to my hubby) had to have an
epistiotomy as she had her arm hooked around behind
her head -midwifes still aren't sure how she did
it..but during the birth one of the midwives said "oh
my god she is waving at us". I would of torn pretty
badly anyway as the midwife said with the arm like
that the diameter was just to large to get out without
tearing.

Thanks to everyone on here that supported us on this
journey...which is continuing delightfully.
Baby dust/magic to those that want it and greetings to
everyone else.

P.S. Her name is Alina (bright, beautiful) Joan (after
my grandmother).

Light to all,

Bluemist.

Good morning ladies. I thought I'd better catch up with you all again before it's May and we're onto another thread. (Where has the year gone already?)

mamadom  Don't think I said it before but it was great to see you pop your head in. I hope you are able to relax and take it easy and that Peachy makes her arrival right when she's supposed to. Sorry to hear about the GD - it's a bugger to have but sounds like you have it under control.

Cathy  I'm so pleased that all your tests are great and everything seems to be going along as it should. Take care. LOL at your DD and the lipstick. Hope it came of easily.

Gummybear  How's things??? News yet??

JB  20 weeks already? Gee time flies. I'm so, so, so pleased that LR is going great guns and is doing cartwheels for you. Sorry he/she didn't want to cooperate too well with the sonographer though. original.gif Thankyou for taking the time out of your busy day to think of me. It is so appreciated.

Vicki   Welcome to our little corner of the web. We look forward to sharing your journey with you.

Rae  Sorry to hear that you and the toilet bowl have got an intimate relationship. I certainly hope that things ease off for you soon. Take care.

Linda  Congratulations on your +ve test and welcome to our little group. We are a friendly lot and don't bite much.

Jo  Good to hear from you again. Glad everything is going well for you and bubs is where he should be. Not long to go now, so make sure you're getting some rest.

Mergie  You are sounding so positive in your posts. I'm glad that things are finally going your way. I really hope that this cycle works for you.

Hey Kaz  CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Sounds like your boys are having a wonderful bonding time. LOL
Thanks for popping in and letting us know. Don't forget us stranger - we want regular updates k?

Susan  Lucky you jagging a 3D scan. Hope everything goes well for you.

Laineyberlin  congratulations and welcome.

Bluemist  Congratulations to you too and welcome to little Alina Joan. So pleased that everything went okay and that you are all well.

Chrissy  Not long for you to go now either. Hope you boss accepts your proposal.

Thankyou so much to everyone who wished me the best for last Wednesday. I spent the day on the computer doing some family history research (yes it is addictive) and then I scrapped my u/s photo of my angel. Was very therapeutic for me.
Not much to report with me - AF is two days late but then maybe she's not as my cycles have been so screwed up since the last D&C. I have nausea and sore bbs (but I get them every month before AF anyway) and I had slight spotting a couple of days ago. I've done 2 HPT's and both were -ve, so that leaves a couple of options. AF is running late because my cycles are out of whack or I tested too early. Part of me is seriously hoping that I'm not pg (I'm not ready for it just yet) but the other part is hoping I am.
I'm hoping by posting this here that the babygods make some sort of decision either way - sort of like forcing their hand. LOL

Well have a good one everyone. I have a BAS to do. sad.gif

Good Morning Ladies

I'm having a needle & sniffing free day today, hooray.  I'm scheduled for OPU tomorrow morning at 9.50am. I had my trigger at 10pm last night.  I have had pretty bad cramping yesterday and today, I feel like my ovaries are going to burst out of my tummy, ouch, so looking forward to getting this over and done with tomorrow.

Susan - How exciting, a 3D scan, I bet you can't wait.  Post the pics if you can.

Lainey - Congrats and welcome.

Bluemist - Congrats to you too, I love her name.

Minni - I'm sure the BAS will keep your mind off things. I'm wishing you well even though you're not sure how you would feel if you were pg, good idea leaving it up to the babygods!!

Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend.]

Speak to you during the week.

Take care

Mergie, just a quick note to say good luck for EPU tomorrow.

Wishingstar - hope your m/s eases off soon original.gif mind you, I dream of having m/s - even if it's bad!

Susan - hope you're starting to feel stronger too.

Minni - let's hope you have a nasty surprise then original.gif perhaps being outwardly unenthusiastic about getting pg will make it happen.

to everyone else - hope you're having a good weekend. sorry no more personals today, I'm starting to feel the effects of this cold/flu again (after being convinced yesterday it was going) so I'm off for a nap.
Waiting for AF so I can start my cycle. However, no pre-AF spotting so that means it's probably at least 5 days away still.

HI all – just a quick post I really should be working   - nut its just so much more fun checking out EB –

Linda – welcome aboard – sending lots of sticky vibes and good wisher.

Mergie – YES  work took it well – I guess they could not say anything. So now I have every Wednesday off – YAH. Its Monday – so I hope you are in theater & all goes well.

Susan – excellent news on getting a 3D scan – I have seen some of the pics & they are great. Only a couple of days to go now.

Bluemist – How lovely for you – congrats on the birth of your little daughter.

All is well apart from sleepless nights – with many toilet breaks  & ankles that blow up like balloons every morning and go down a little at night. Bub had his active days and some very quiet one – but I am used to that now.  Doc said a week and a half ago that he was head down – but with all of the lumps & bumps over my belly I am not so sure he has stayed that way.

Must go before I get caught –
Have a great week ladies.

Mergie   Where are you??? How did things go? I have everything crossed for you but would love to know what's going on.

Update on me: Well yesterday morning I did another HPT (I had to buy medicine for Miss Three so grabbed another HPT whilst I was there) and this time, the faintest of second lines came up. I've got a lot of cramping atm though so I'm not getting overly excited. Hell, I'm not excited at all really. I'm not ready for this yet.... and DH's response when I told him that I was pg and due at Christmas (can you believe that)? was "We can't afford it".
So I'm going to do another HPT at the end of the week, and then we're going away next week. Won't go to the GP until we get back and then probably won't go to the OB until I'm around 8-9 weeks. No point going any sooner. At the moment, I am having horrible headaches and feeling only a little nauseous. Hope the nausea doesn't really kick in until the end of next week. Nothing worse than having a holiday when you've got morning sickness (spoken with the voice of experience here LOL).
Well have a good one everyone..... and Mergie... please check in!!

Morning Ladies

They collected 3 eggs yesterday, all from the left ovary.  I am a little disappointed, I was hoping all 5 follies might have produced the goods so to speak.  DH came in with me and I had a light sedative which actually put me to sleep.  For some reason I thought I'd be awake looking at the monitor watching everything that went on but all I remember was them dragging me down the end of the table and that was it until they woke me in recovery.  DH said I sat up when the Dr started looking in the right ovary so they increased the dose a little to make me lie still.

DH was off doing his bit when I woke and I asked the nurse how many eggs were collected and she asked me where my husband was. My heart sank, I thought the worst. They had DH tell me and he was quite up beat about it so I felt a little better.  Every other lady in recovery had the same procedure, I heard shrieks of delight from 2 of them who had 16 and 13 eggs collected, this again made my heart sink again. I just can't wait until this afternoon to ring the nurses and see if I get to transfer.

I'm feeling really good, slight crampy pains alot like what I felt on the weekend.  I'm not dizzy or unsteady but I will take it easy again today.

I will let you know how it all goes.

Thanks for your thoughts, stay tuned...........

Minni - Sorry to leave you hanging like that lol, I'm so excited for you and your 2nd feint line. Don't forget to let us know when you test again.

Mergie, forgive my ignorance I am learning as I read everyones discussions.  I hope everything goes well for you.

Minnie, I found the cramping disconcerting to start with but then it settled down until week 8 when the MS started and never really stopped.  a second line is a second line no matter the strength..

The lipstick came off really well with sorbelene on a washer.. That needed stain removal.

Nothing much to report need to pay bills etc.. so better start.

Excited isn't the word for it girls

I have 2 embies on board!!!!  They are both 4 cell grade 2.  The 3rd egg had 2 sperm enter it making it unsuitable for transfer.

I'll be having pregnyl injections for progesterone support, 1 on Friday, the other on Tuesday.  I was happy about the injections as I have read so many ghastly reports about the crinone on EB.

I feel fantastic at the moment, so very happy even though I know it's early days yet.  I'm going to relish this feeling as it seems such a long time ago that I felt this happy.  Oohhh, now I'm tearing up.

Take care everyone.

Speak to you soon.

Well done Mergie on the 2 embies on board, I know what a relief it is to actually have some to transfer.  Don't be surprised if the first week you feel hopeful, elated and excited and next week you start feeling flat & trying to convince yourself it didn't work....honestly ask any IVFer, the 2nd week you go crazy and it's really hard.  Just wanted to warn you cause these feeling are very normal and common.  The 1st IVF cycle is like a test run, they don't know how your body will react to the drugs, so if you had to go again (which we hope you won't) they would probably increase your doseage to get more eggs.  Mine went from 150 to 350 cycle 1 to 2 and by the time cycle 5 or 6 came it was like 600 cause your body sorta gets used to the doseage.  Anyway it is a great feeling to really have hope isn't it.  Fingers crossed for you.

Minni, congratulations!  You are sounding so cautious and in shock which is understandable. Do you want me to update the rollcall with your +++ or want to wait a bit?  Please let us know how you are ok.

Gee Chrissy how did you get to 34 weeks all of a sudden!  That snuck up fast!

Over 22 weeks here now. Nothing much to report except this baby is way more active than Analeise so it is so reassuring and I am actually enjoying the pregnancy at this stage rather than how stressed and worried i was constantly last time.

Hope everyone else is well.
No word from Gummybear yet?

Woo hoo Mergie  Sue is doing happy dance for you!! It's been so long since we've seen you this happy and it's great!! I so hope everything works out for you, I really do. Take care and rest up.

Vicki  Hope you're feeling a lot better than you were the other day. I hate this time of the year with all the colds/fluey things around.

Chrissy  Sounds like everything is coasting along for you - apart from the swollen ankles. Good luck with everything.

Cathy  Thanks for checking in and thanks for your wishes. Hope everything is going cruisy for you as well.

JB  Sounds like you're really enjoying this pregnancy. I've said it a hundred times - I'm so happy for you. Go the LR!!

Well as to me - I'm out again. Woke up yesterday and felt absolutely fantastic. Warning bells started going off then, so I took my temp and it had dropped way down to where it sits during AF. So another HPT and the second line barely registered. By last night, the bleeding was full on - so I'm out again.
Part of me is a little sad but honestly, it's like a huge weight has been lifted from me. I really was not ready to be pg just yet and O'ing late this cycle really threw things out. Please don't get me wrong, we really want another baby but just at this point in time, it is not good timing for us. I know this sounds selfish but I don't think that if psychologically I'm not ready, then that isn't the best thing for the baby is it?
Anyway, take care everyone.

JB - I suppose if you want to update the list you could add the latest m/c. Let's hope that my 3rd strike is my last one!

Hi ladies,

I was wondering if I could join your group.  I hope I am old enough I am 37 turning 38 in a few months.

I am currently 30 weeks pregnant after two losses.  I have a 8 year old son.

I am finding pregnancy the second time around a lot harder than the first especially after the losses.

I hope I can fit in hear.

Minni - I am sorry to hear your news - but I guess you are feeling like the timing was not right.

JB - I actually look at you clocking up the weeks and think the same thing - everyone elses pg seems to be going faster than mine.

Mergie  - what fabulous news - I jhave fingers crossed and everything else for you.

I think most days that I am still not going to believe that this baby coming and going to be OK until I am actually holding him in my arms. All of my friends (including EB'ers) have been so supportive and great throught this pg. But as the time draws closer I am really worried that all of my hopes will be trashed  - I have a feeling of doubt that has never really gone away throughout this pg - maybe becasue I am so much older this time and I know a lot more about what can go wrong.  Am I normal ???
Anyway - must try to keep focusing on the positive things, and enjoying this moving little bub inside of me.

Have a great weekend when it gets here girls.

Oh yes Chrissy I hope that is a normal feeling I had that with Grace.. I was 42 when she was born, I never ever let myself believe it would be sucessful until she was in my arms.. I had BP problems but wasn't medicated and was only hospitalised at 39 weeks. This one is a little different..

Morning Ladies

Minni - Sorry to read your news, sending you hugs.

JB - Thanks for the words from experience.  I'm feeling exactly as you say although a little worried already.  The cramps are still there from the OPU and DS is really ill with a bad cough which has kept me up 2 nights in a row so no rest as they recommended.  They told me not to pick him up if I could help it, (he's 16kgs) but it's hard when they're sick and want to be picked up.  I slept in his room last night, me in his bed, him on the cot mattress on the floor.  I kept leaning out of the bed comforting him and giving him sips of water and now I'm worried I may have strained myself doing this most of the night. Am I being paranoid or just severely sleep deprived?

Chrissy - What you are feeling is completely normal. Of course you would have these thoughts, any caring person would.  I'm glad to have been a part of your support and look forward to seeing a pic of your darling little one soon.  (With you holding him!!)

Sashy - Welcome, and I'm sorry for your losses. We're a friendly bunch and we're hear for you.

I'm hanging out for DS to go to sleep so I can too.

Will catch up again soon girls.

Take care
