Bronze - for all the precious ones that have been taken too soon.

I just read this today and couldn't stop the flood of tears. My deepest condolences LYS for the passing of your son Luke. He was such a little fighter and an inspiration to all of us. Too perfect and too beautiful for this earth, I'm sure he has left you so many precious memories in his short time here. Giving you all my thoughts, love and prayers from the other side of the world.

Just wanted to pop in and say Hi.
Lys, I have been thinking about you guys and the photos from Mother's Day of you and Luke and Natty, they were just beautiful.
Just wanted to show you all a cheeky pic of my gorgeous girl! I can't believe that she will be 3 in only 2 months!

Quick question.....Are any or your Aug bubs waking at night with bad dreams atm?
Posted 17 June 2009 - 01:08 PM
Kel Noah quite often wakes up crying and tells me he has a man in his room. Its awful im just hoping he doesnt do it when hubby is away for work for the next 3 weeks. He also has nightmares about bugs and monkey, crying to the point he can barley speak sometimes.

Hands up for another August '06 man that wakes up with bad dreams or crying in his sleep, so much so that it is hard to resettle him afterward. Happens a couple of times a week atm.

DS is such a light sleeper! I can even go in there and move a blanket and BAM he's awake. DD complete opposite, I can go in and put away clothes with the light on, I can vaccuum in there etc... she sleeps like her grandmother (my mum)
that said, he does wake up crying sometimes but I think it's just a dream.. sometimes dreams can seem so realistic don;t ya reckon?? Must be even more terrifying when you're a little one... with less capacity to understand "but it was only a dream" as an explanation for them (frustrating)
dd used to have "night terrors" when she was around 2yrs, grew out of it I guess? I leave DS's door open as he likes to know 'we're there' as soon as we shut it he knows and gets up and opens it again- doesn't matter if he's been asleep for 3 hrs, he KNOWS
we call him the resident Engergiser Bunny... he just never stops going!

Kel- thanks so much for asking that question... Natalie does big time.... I thought it was just nightmares after Luke dying- because that is when it started..... but maybe it's an age thing..... that makes me feel a bit better for her.... A Mummy cuddle seems to solve it regardless!
Sometimes she tells me a boy is in her bed... and sometimes it is the Easter Bunny in her bed (she was quite traumatised by the hospital easter bunny.... sounds funny, but she was so scared of him)

Hi Lys, it's lovely to see you posting, we have missed you. I'm so sorry for your loss.... do you have any other photos to share if that is okay? any updates of Natalie either? I wish I could do something to help you out, I know nothing I could do or say would make things any better but just for you to know that you are thought of.
The other night DD6.5 woke with growing pains at 2:30am. She wasn't even loud. DS was SO excited he rushed to the door, "we get up now???" ahhhhhh let me think about that DS, how about NO!!!!
I need to take some new pics of the kids, camera is playing up atm however.
How has everyone's week been. We're going opshopping tomorrow for ski gear (as in puffer jackets etc) hoping to find some bargains, we are going to the snow 2, 3, come back 4th, Aug. So excited. Not so much about the opshopping, the trip

Well, I am glad that Tay isn't the only one, last night was a doozy though, bed at 9pm ( ) woke at 9.50pm, 10.50pm and 1.50am.......
The other night she woke up and was saying "not over my head"...., not sure where that one came from!
I will have to do a weight & height measurement soon to see how we compare with the other August 06

Another one here putting her hand up for a boy with night terrors. They are common for my kids at around this age. DH handles it better than me, as he can get them to have a drink of water to wake them out of it, or sometimes has to take them outside in the cold air. They do grow out of it, but can be a bit scary when it happens.
hope everyone else is doing ok. We are all good atm, fingers crossed. Fletch has had a cough for about 2 months, but seems to be over it now.
He is still going through the terrible 2's and can be very naughty at times, but then he can be adorable. He has just started thanking me everytime he has tea with "Thankyou for tea Mummy, it was beautiful!" and the other night he went and found DH and said "Thankyou for the drink of water Dad!"... ahhh, so cute
Lincoln is now 1, still bf, and still not a good sleeper! Oh for a full night's sleep!!! But another adorable child of mine, so I can forgive him easily
Better go. to all

Lara - I am so very sorry to hear about baby Xavier. Words can not even begin to say how sorry I am for your tragic loss.
Fly free little Xavier.
