Hi,
My DD is 7 weeks old and has started sleeping longer and longer at night, the last 2 nights she has slept for 9 hours straight. I don't know if she will continue to do this or not but while it's great to get the extra sleep it's been really hard on my boobs!! I've had to get up and express a little each night and my boobs have been rock hard and very uncomfortable for days. But I think that I'm starting to adjust my milk supply now.
I'm very prone to mastitis and have had it 4 times. I was thinking that now that my milk supply is starting to drop and get used to not being used overnight maybe I should give her a bottle if she starts to wake in the night again ..... to avoid having to go through this again. What do you think?
This is my first baby and I don't know what I'm doing but am desparate to avoid getting mastitis again as it really knocks me around.
