Do I get to claim bronze too?
Where is everyone? Busy with newborn babies???
Posted 26 July 2009 - 04:28 PM
Double medals for you Carmen
I think we must all be pretty busy with our babies!
We are going well, Isla is settling in nicely and Zach is coping pretty well with the big change. He has "tapped" her on the head once though and we have had a few other incidents but pretty good over all.
Isla is letting us get pretty good sleep, she is still sleeping a lot during the day too so that lets us spend some one on one time with Zach. Dh goes back to work next week on the friday so I am freaking out a little bit on how im going to cope but im sure I will be ok...I hope!
Hope everyone is well!

yep pretty busy here with same routine of something on every day, just have 2 little people to transport around with me now! LOL
Unfortunately Lucas' ears have been really sh*tty again the last couple of days, last night there was blood on his pillow too and the waxy discharge coming out is bloody tinged, so rang the specialist and we can get in there tomorrow. Poor little bugger, his balance is shot and his speech changes instantly.
Elijah is doing well except for a bit of a cold which makes it a bit tricky to BF. He has put on just over 1kg since we left hospital so I am stoked, will go for another "weigh in" on thursday. I got a great recipe for lactation cookies from another mum in my July PG, will bake some in the ready for the 6wk growth spurt, funny thing is i told DH and he was like , what the you have soooo much milk already that you wet the bed, i know but.. you can never have too much right??
ok well better go both boys in bed and Lucas sleep is crap when he has bad ears so last night when Eli was asleep Lucas was awake Uuuggh and then they were waking each other which was a first that I didnt like.
take care to everyone, sorry for the me post.

Yep I've been pretty busy too. Don't have much time to post on EB. Normally every time I sit down someone wants me or I think of something I should be doing while Heidi is asleep. When she is sleeping I use that time to get things done around the house because when she is awake I need to keep a close eye on her cause Lily tries to pick her up and is forever poking her or letting her suck her finger.
Heidi will be 6 weeks tomorrow. Gosh the time has flown. At her last weigh 2 weeks ago she was spot on 4kg. I'm back at the health nurse next Tues so will be good to see how much she is now and how long she is too. The '000' bonds suits fit very snug on her but the '00' are a tad big. It's a bit sad to move up to the bigger sizes and leave the '000' behind as this is most likely my last bub I am trying to hold on to everything 'baby'
Anyway better get back to it...See you around on FB!

I have been sick with the flu and boy I am hoping I NEVER get this sick ever again!!!!
The kids have been coming down with it one by one too but are in better shape than I am
The house has now been advertised and there is heaps of interest in it. The cars keep driving past all day long and I now feel very self concious at the front of the house. I am picking this place is not going to be on the market too long, so we are starting the packing this weekend. I am soo sick and tired of packing and moving, we weren't supposed to move for a few years but everytime we make plans everything seems to go pear shaped
Zeke has been rather grumpy lately and has taken to biting again. It looked like he was teething before the flu struck so I am not sure if thats what causing him to be the way he is.
Well need to go sort some more washing and organise lunch.

Suzanne: I hope you find a house you can really settle into soon, we are noving in a few months and although Im excited im also dreading the packing, cleaning, setting up the new house etc...
Nic: I am trying to hold onto everything "baby" too and this is not even my last. I have to watch Zach so carefully around Isla, he likes to kiss and cuddle but also tests the boundaries with a few pokes and prods every now and then!
Em: I hope Lucas' ears are ok, poor thing
All is well with us, I am pretty sick though so just hoping I don't pass it onto the kids.

Been busy with uni as always. I have 2 weeks left of classes, then 8 weeks of clinicals and then I'm finished. I can't wait. I have an assignment due this week, one next week though.
Seth is going alright, he is starting to talk a lot better although I can tell he is really behind still. Hopefully he gets to the top of the list soon, they have speech therapy for preschoolers at uni, but there is a waiting list.
Other than that, we are just working on the house, got the fence done 2 weeks ago, getting the ensuite renovated at the moment. My mum is annoying the absolute crap out of me, I just want her gone. We where never close at the best of times, now she is scabbing off us, I can barely tolerate being in the same room as her.
Kate: Seth is pretty much the same, he has tipped his carseat upside down a few times, lucky Ned was buckled in.
Suzanne: Kind of know how you feel. Adrian and Victoria has lived in 4 houses, Adelaide will be #5. Will be 5 moves in 6 years. I just want to not have to move all the time. We where suppose to stay here, thankfully the neighbours have been pretty good in the last couple of months. The new fence has helped a lot. Hope your kids feel better soon.
Nic: How is Heidi going? Ned is in 00's and they fit him well. All except some pants that are designed for more stocky bubs and look like clown pants on him, but he is long enough to fit them. He's now 5.9kg and 60cm long. Adrian wasn't that big until he was around 5 months old lol
Annette: Glad Oliver is going well. Ned is only drinking about 150mls when he has EBM, but I think breast milk and formula are different when it comes to mls.
Em: Hope Lucas ears are better soon.

How is everyone going? Seth is going well, nothing much different with him. He is sleeping better, but always sleeps with Victoria.
Been thinking about 3 year old kinder, not sure I'll send him considering we'll both be working and have kids to pick up / drop off etc. If I do send him, I'm thinking it'd be so much easier just to go to childcare a day a week. That way we can pick up and drop off anytime during opening hours. Obviously there will be a price difference though.
Annette: Glad to hear all is going well with TTing. I've been having problems with my pelvis too, just feels very loose and clicky.
Posted 08 September 2009 - 02:35 PM
Things are going ok getting physio on pelvis it's helping he put my hip back in, which i feels great
Rylin is horrible he is biting and its driving me insane.but going great guns with TT wwooohhhoooo

Hi girls! I have been very slack lately about coming in here.
Carmen: Oh my god I didn't realise that was Seth in your sig, he looks like such a big boy now. Wow well done with your Uni, almost finished! I tried to enroll Zach in 3yr old kinder but it was all booked out, I put his name on the waiting list incase a spot came up. I have just started putting him in Occasional care for a few hours every week & he loves it.
Hi Janaya! Welcome back Sorry to hear your feeling isolated, do you go to a playgroup or anything? Im not in Canberra unfortunately, my dh grew up there...that doesn't really help though does it
Annette: Zach went through a biting stage, thankfully it didn't last to long!
All is going well here. Zach is even starting to wake up during the night to go to the toilet so Im thinking about stopping the night nappies soon. Isla is still a dream baby, shes just gorgeous and has started giggling now.
It has been raining pretty much everyday since isla was born but today is beautiful so we went and caught up with a few friends and i got all my washing dried so had a great day!
I started Zach in Occasional care once a week just for a few hours, he really loved it. I just wanted him to get used to having other people besides family looking after him and just to start getting him ready for kindy I suppose. Im so glad I did, I was worried he would scream the place down I think it helped he had a friend in the same room from playgroup and she looked after him.

hey everyone again,
lol , thanx ~littlebird~ unfortunatly i dont go to any playgroups or have any friends here, ive lived here for over 3 yrs now and had noone but my partner and sister, wich i rarely see, my sister lives over 40 mins away and is busy with her life, and my partner , well, seems hes either working or asleep. lol. dont have much support, but hopefully ill get back on here more often and re-light some past friendships and make some new ones. this website brings me hope! lol
been a pretty hectic week here, im guessing has been for everyone else to, not many replies it seems, hope everyone is going really well!
and im so please the night time toilet training is going good littelbird, even without you having to start it = it seems! my little boy is nearly 3 , he uses pull ups and uses the potty now and then, but not constantly, i have trouble with him using it, not because he doesnt want to, but because once hes on it he doesnt want to get off it.
your daughter sounds adorable, its goes so quick, i remeber i thought braydens first year went quick, the second bubs seem to be on fast forward!
my daughter abbigail will be 11 months this 10th oct. ill be having to start plaining her 1st birthday soon!
love to all, and hope to hear from you soon!
Posted 06 October 2009 - 05:27 PM
braydens-mummy: I do know a little how you feel, I used to feel so isolated but i didn't move to a whole new state, I just moved an hour away so it made seeing friends/family a lot harder with a baby in tow! I wasn't interested in playgroups but started to feel so isolated so me and a few other girls from this site and another one organised a playgroup and that has really been my saviour! I am quite a solitary person anyway but it does help having a few friends close by with kids to catch up with. Maybe go into the Canberra section and see if they have any meets coming up!
Oh so your little boy will go on the potty to use it but won't get off after he he does his business? They're funny aren't they I used a sticker chart with ds so once he did his wee or poo he got to put a sticker on his chart, he loved it!
How exciting your dd's 1st birthday coming up! I love the name Abbigail Yes I thought ds's first year went quickly, dd is nearly 3 months I can't believe it.
Zach has his second day at "school" tomorrow, he's so excited, already has his little bag packed. Isla and I are going to go and do some shopping while he's there, he is only staying for 2 hours at a time so far.

braydens~mummy - I'm a very slack poster in here...I work part-time, 3 days a week and one of the reasons I went back to work was for the adult social interaction. I really hear you about being lonely - when I first had DD I didn't go out of the house very much and the isolation I felt was huge! I joined a mother's group and it was the best thing I've done. I still see them even now, and they are very good friends.
Coming on EB helped with my sanity heaps before I went back to work. I also love chatting with friends on the phone which helps a lot when I can't get out (thanks Annette - you've been a life saver!). Not sure whether there is anyone you can call for a chat, but that may help.
TT - well, not really going anywhere here with that at the moment. I've put Jadzia in cloth training pants quite a few times (today included) and she doesn't "get" the wet feeling. I ask whether she's wee'd and she says no, but her pants are soaked. She'll get there eventually so I'm not worried. Will be nice when it happens though!
Annette - that's awesome about Ry! He's going great guns
Kate - I love that photo of Isla in your sig. She's absolutely gorgeous! How is Zach going in care?
Us - Jadzia's a little sick at the moment. I took today off work to stay at home with her as she woke up all congested and coughing. She seems to have improved over the day, and she had a 2 hour sleep this afternoon. So I'm glad I did stay home.
Hope everyone else is well.

Came home from Adelaide yesterday, hoping the start the house soon. It always seems to be something that delays it . We picked out the colours, didn't realise you just pick a package. Nothing there that I really wanted, but at least I wont have to do anything to the house cause it'll all be brand new.
How are everyone's kids going?
Seth is going well, I can't believe he'll be 3 soon. He now is heavier than Kitarni and Victoria and not much shorter either.
Posted 23 October 2009 - 01:33 PM
I didnt know you were building a house Carmen, how exciting! It is stressfull though isn't it, we had so many delays when we built a few years ago, i said to myself nevver again but looks like we are going to not so far down the track!
Seth looks so much older than he is, Zach is the opposite
Oh thats me, Isla is awake! Have a good weekend everyone

Not much happening here, just trying to hide from the heat lol. Seth is going well. He had a speech assessment done on Thursday at my uni. 3 of my older children have seen speechies and he was chopping sounds of the start of the words, so figured it's be beneficial as well as give some fellow students some practice. He's on the list for 8 weeks of therapy next year. Apparently his attention, understanding and comprehension is great, but has trouble making sounds. The appointment was only suppose to go for 40 minutes, but because he had such a great attention span, they practiced a few other assessments on him (aimed at older kids) and the assessment went for almost an hour and a half. The students where volunteering themselves to work with Seth next year too .
The one thing I did pick up on is he doesn't know his colours . I think I should probably make more of an effort to teach him.
Annette: Glad TTing is going well for you and Rylin. Hope Olivers teeth don't give him grief. Ned has 2 teeth, thankfully they just appeared one day without an issue.
Kate: I don't think I'll ever build again, STILL hasn't started. It's just 1 thing after another, the lastest was they printed out the wrong form and so now they need to print the right form and get it signed .
I remember telling them to delay it so it wouldn't be finished next week. . Here I was freaking out it would be built before I was ready to move and now the time is here they haven't even started. It'll be April if they actually start by the end of the month. I wonder what the next problem will be.

Rylin is fully night trained am so impressed not 1 accident *knock on wood* need to get Rylin a speech assessment but am on the council wiating list and can take up to 2years :S he knows lots but when he speaks sometimes he jumbles words into eachother and he isnt pronouncing some words, like drink = frink. tr=free and other words too if i go private will cost between 120-200 and atm with tristan only working 3days it's a no go
We were suppose to have an appointment to get the snip done but thats on the back burner due to $$$$$$$ gee i hate money, lol
Carmen ~ yay to ned Ollie's tooth still hasnt come through :S it's annoying me the other 2 their teeth just popped up bugger about the house. glad you got seth looked at,lol not knowing his colours but knows everything else thats a bonus
Hope everyone is going well and keeping out of the heat.
Need to get my bubba some food he didnt wakae last night and woke at 6:30 but has decided he would like food NOW!!!!
