Geez, 9 hours later...

question for you all-

What is your toddlers favourite food?

Hannah- would do just about anything for a muffin break choc chip muffin, or a chupa chup but if we are talking nutritious food, probably "little pillows"- beef ravioli in a tomato sauce original.gif

Silver for me!

Ryan's favourite food would have to be apples. That is all he would eat if he got his own way. He is a fruit nut and will not touch meat of any kind or veg and has gone off baked beans and eggs too. I am putting him on iron tabs twice a day to try and get him back to eating. Nick on the other hand will eat anything given to him....including Ryan's food....as long as it doesn't contain dairy.

Triana's favourite is pasta I would say, but she's pretty hit and miss with eating lately. "If you have 4 pieces of pasta then you can get some garlic bread" etc etc  wacko.gif

Jasper on the other hand loves mince dishes, shepherds pie, mousaka, spag bol, but will eat most things. The complete opposite of T. He LOVES banana too. Would eat them constantly if you let him. Triana's pretty good with apples & pears.

Triana's still not TT but has started to be more consistant in the last few weeks. She pretty lazy so if she's watching Tv she may just forget and wee on the floor. She says she didn't know but.....We've backed off and that really helped.

Jasper is doing really well and is old!! He's 20 months and is definately not a bub anymore. So we're considering another but we're living at FIL's place and waiting for him to come back from UK and see if he's wanting to kick us out or what. It's been great having the house to ourselves for a month.

Triana started Kidstart (pre preschool program) which I think she likes. She always says I can't remember. Which drives me batty. I am considering holding her back to help her build up her social skills more but am really undecided. I just wish I knew how she was going. I must talk to the teacher and see what she thinks.

I better go, good to see/hear from you all again...

Fave foods in this house are pasta, fish & bananas. Guaranteed that any of those will be finished by all 3 kids, no problems. Treat wise... I'd probably say Fredo frogs (Ava) or jelly (Leo).

Kate, we are totally undecided re: when to start school as well...
DH & I went to a School Readiness night at A's CCC the other night, and asked. The talker was an Assistant Principal at a local public school and said that children born from May onwards (NSW cut off is July31) are more likely to struggle in her experience. It was mentioned that quite a few parents are holding back Jan babies now... But, she said if she was us (CC worker told her what A was like) she would send her...
We are looking at the Catholic system , and I think their cutoff is earlier, so maybe, hopefully lol, the decision will be taken out of our hands...  ph34r.gif

Hey All

H's favourite foods: bananas, rice bubbles, apples, pasta.

Um, the cut off in Vic is earlier about April 30 or something.  Always intended to hold Henry back as his speech isn't that great.  Nor his social skills - he's still as passive as ever, and happy enough to play by himself.

However we have bought a house - Yay us - and it's up the road from another kinder, so I'll swap kinders for next year.  Anyway, I really don't like their hours.  3 1/2 hrs 3 days a week.  What a PITA.

So I'm considering sending him to school early and just doing two years of preps as that would suit the family a lot earlier.

Oh, BTW I'm 19 weeks pregnant with #4.

Congratulations GIO on your pregnancy and your new house. We bought our first house in May, have never felt so scared in my life but excited at the same time.

Tinks - gorgeous photo of Hannah and Jack.

Ellie - your boys are so handsome.

Charlotte's favourite food at the moment would probably be strawberries and egg sandwiches. But honestly the girl just loves food and does not stop eating all day long. She's still not night TT but that doesn't worry us as Ethan about 4.5/5 before he was night TT. And she will be starting school in 2011, not going to keep her back.

Well we haven't been doing much except buying our first house. Most of our free time is spent doing things around the house as the previous owners only used it as a weekender/holiday house so never really looked after it. I told DH that I'm never moving again unless we can organise packing and cleaning fairies  biggrin.gif  The kids are growing way to quickly. My mum and dad take Ethan over the school holiday breaks so that he doesn't have to go into vacation care on the days that I work, and mum wants to have Charlotte as well these school holidays but I'm not sure that I can handle having both kids away for 2 weeks. But it would allow us to get some things done around the house without having them under our feet. Hmm not sure what to do.

Ok better go as I'm at work.

Congrats GIO!!

Tanya what did you decide? Child free or hold on to one? I would love a sleep in but I don't know if I could do without them for 2 whole weeks.

Bring on Daylight savings. Both kids are waking at 5:30am now when it use to be 7am.  blink.gif

Triana has been fully toilet trained for a few weeks now and hasn't done anything in her nappy overnight either.

We will definately hold her back so she can get some more confidence and socialisation before preschool, now to find a playschool for next year.

We are still living with my FIL which generally okay but it would be so relaxing to be able to leave the kids stuff out or not have to cook for him. It helps us save so there are benefits.

Now to think of something to do in the rain.....

LOL Tinks - Um, one for fun?  one for the road?

Settlement is Friday - starting to get a bit excited - I wasn't excited at first, it wasn't the kind of house I'd choose (DH bought it) but it does have a big yard which I insisted on.  But only 2 bedrooms, which is going to be fun, with four kids.  LOL.

WOW, I'd love to have someone begging to take my kids off my hands.  I think I'd miss them too much though.  They've started FDC once a week so I'm getting a bit of sanity.

Henry is starting Milo cricket this summer.  You are supposed to be 5 but his father is helping run it, so will take him along.

Oh, I'm hoping this babe will be a boy as I want to do the calisthenics/dancing thing with Lydia, and let DH take three boys to footy & cricket.  Hehehehehehe.

Yes decided to send Charlotte with Ethan to Mum and Dad's. It's very quiet without them and I'm not quite sure what to do with all the spare time on my hands. Well I've been doing lots of shopping, not sure that DH will be that impressed when he sees how much I've spent, but hey it's all stuff for the house. Mum is finding out just how much Charlotte eats, she literally doesn't stop from the moment her eyes open to when they close at night.

Torito, mum was saying that Charlotte has been getting up at 5:30 as well.

Tinks - gorgeous sig. I love the colour of their hair.

Can't believe we finally got to page 2...I had given up hope!

Aww tinkster that's not fair to dangle the carrot!! Can't wait to hear who it is original.gif

Well Ryan is going to kindy next year.....he needs it! We have an appointment for 24/11 for his uniform fitting. I can't believe how quick it has gone.

We took the boys to the Perth Royal Show yesterday. Ryan ended up in the stroller as he wouldn't walk and we had to carry 12kg Nick around. I think the next time we go it will be minus the kids original.gif

Hi All

Well I'm now 24 weeks pregnant!  Feeling pretty good, except I pushed a bloody heavy pram up a bloody steep hill today.  So stuffed tonight - I've started belly dancing as well!

We have moved home.  Moved a week ago.  We have a small house on a big block in the next suburb to where we were.  So just getting settled and all that stuff.

Henry keeps calling this the new house and the other place "home"  Poor kid.  He's wet the bed every night bar 2 that we've been here, so I think he's just a sensitive little soul that doesn't like change.  Although it was extraordinarily cold last week, so that didn't help.

Lexalotti - good to see you - what happened to your post?

Ellie - isn't the purpose of the show for the kids?  LOL.  Yeah, a big day out can be very tiring eh?

Tinks - can't see your sig as I have sigs turned off, but I am sure they are gorgeous.

Tanya - How was your child free break?

Alright gotta eat dinner.  We have Lydia's 5th birthday party Sun, combined with a housewarming.

Hi all,

Just wanted to come in & show my new signature off  biggrin.gif    fingers crossed for lots of stickiness this time

Shelley - im sorry to hear that.  Hope you are ok.

Gosh its been so quiet in here.

Oh for those who are friends with me on fb please dont say anything we are keeping the news secret for a while until after our 12 week scan.

James is growing so quickly, hard to believe he will be off to school in just over 12 months.  We had him in FDC for a while but doesnt really suit him or us so he is back to a CCC next year.

Not much else going on.  Hope everyone else is well.

Congratulations Sharon! That is a great picutre of James.

GIO - how is the pregnancy going? And yes I did enjoy my child free time. I actually get to have more child free time next week as the kids are going to mum and dad's on Sunday giving DH and I the week to get everything packed for our holidays.

Shelly - sorry to hear about what you've been going through and I hope that you are ok.

Well I just got back on Monday from having a girls only weekend in which we went on a 2 night cruise from Brisbane to Sydney. There were 8 of us and we had an awesome time. It's the first time I've every done a girls weekend and we're planning on doing it more often.

Ok better go. Hope that you are all surviving this crazy time of year.

at hannahs kindy they have a rest time in the afternoon- so maybe you don't need to cut out the nap just yet. Hannah still has one every 2nd day or so

Hi everyone,
you may not remember me as it has been YEARS since I have posted, I had to abandon all my favourite fun computer things like EB and Facebook as life has been so busy, but am back on the boards again as just as I thought life had settled down ... I have discovered I am pregnant with number four - and I see I am not alone. Congratulations to the others who are also expecting babies, I am amazed to see how many are - and LOL Tinks at your sentiments - I'm about 14/ 15 weeks (can't remember) and feeling exceptionally unwell, much more so than the other three.

Anyway, I hope it is okay to drop in again now that I am back peeking at EB again. By the looks of posting frequency I may even be able to keep up this time!
Take care,
