I stopped bf about 3.5 months ago. Last week I noticed my left breast had some tenderness and I get the occasional shot of pain thru the breast. Last night I noticed a red swelling on my nipple. The swelling is quite raised and I feel pain if I squeeze it. I have been on antibiotics for 9 days for a chest infection and was wondering if this may be thrush? I can still squeeze out quite a bit of milk from my breasts even though it has been 3.5 months since I stopped feeding.
Any advice would be appreciated.
