New thread time ladies.

We're all exhausted after spending the morning at the Royal Adelaide Show. Deakin absolutely loved it a wanted to go on so many rides. Carter was happy with a windmill and his Bumblebee showbag.

Happy Daddy's Day to all the Apr 06 dads - hope you're all having a wonderful day

Happy Father's Day to all the daddies!!
We just got back from seeing my dad at a resort at Phillip Island. It was fantastic! We had a BBQ, played table tennis, went to the beach and just hung out.
I hope you all had a wonderful day today too.

Hi girls, I'm here but still feeling terrible I have had a massive headache since yesterday and it's still here, not even panadeine is making it go away!
Aaliya's b'day party went well yesterday, she had a ball - will have to post a pic of her dressed as a princess (she also had her face painted with a unicorn ).
Better go, I think the pc might be making this worse,

Hello! Hope everyone had a great Father's Day. We had a lovely relaxing weekend. We went on a drive around Murrindindi area, where the fires were, then on our way home we got take out for dinner.
Not sure whether I mentioned or not that DH injured his foot while playing basketball last Thursday? Well, he ended up having an x-ray on Sat for it and it did have a slight break in it. He has to try and stay off it for a while and has it bandaged. Also on anti-inflammotories to help the swelling go down. He was going to take yesterday off work to help recover, but he had a phone call Sunday night from the other mechanic to say he has broken his wrist in a motorbike accident. He may have to have a pin put in it yet and isn't allowed to move his fingers, so he will have some time off work. Great, just what we need! DH is going for an echocardiogram on Wednesday just to check that he doesn't have a bicuspid valve.
Cameron has been home sick today. He was vomitting most of last night, poor dear.
I had all my hair cut off last Saturday. Gosh, it feels so good. My hair is so thick, hard to manage and it's just so much easier being short.
Linda, sorry to hear you're feeling awful still. Looking forward to seeing pics of Aaliya's party.
Mel, so glad you had a lovely day on Sunday with your dad.
Tina, I saw the photos of the show on FB. Looks like you all had a lovely family day out.
Hi to everyone else.

Feeling pretty crappy so I'm heading to bed soon. All the boys are in bed and DH is out playing his volleyball grand final so he wont be home for hours. I think I've got gastro and must have eaten something bad as I've had bad stomach pains all night. Hopefully it's all out of my system now.
Karen - How is Cameron now? How annoying that your DH couldn't take a day off as he had injured staff. Hope he recovers soon and his tests go okay.
Linda - Hope you are feeling better soon.
Sharyn - How are you doing hun? Been thinking of you. xx
We had a great father's day at the royal show. Deakin absolutely loved it and wanted to go on all the rides. It so nice to see him so excited. Carter is very sensitive to loud noises so he didn't enjoy it near the rides or sideshows and spent the time with his fingers in his ears. He was happy with his Bumblebee showbag and spent the first night in bed shining his projector watch on the ceiling. DH was spoilt with lots of homemade gifts and cards and I got him some tshirts, photo mug and huge red wine glasses.
Okay, I'm off to bed......night.

Now I have three sick children at home. Last night, Michael and Caitie played tag team being sick and Cameron still isn't feeling the best. He said he was sick once overnight. William is the only one who isn't sick atm and went off to school quite happily this morning. DH and I don't seem to have it yet, thank goodness, although we are both exhausted.
Tina, hope you are feeling better this morning. xo
Posted 09 September 2009 - 10:15 AM
Oh no Karen. I hope they are all feeling better soon and nobody else catches it.
Feeling much better today. I think it must have been my lunch that made me sick. Wont be buying that again.
Lazy day at home with just Jarvis. Need to mop the floors and clean the kitchen and then I'm up to date with the housework. Depending on when he wakes from his morning nap I might think about heading to the gym.
Posted 09 September 2009 - 11:03 AM
Morning! I am feeling so much better I hate it when I'm sick!
Tina - The photos of you all at the show were great - the boys certianly looked like they had a good time! We were thinking of taking the kids to the Melb show, can't decide if I want to face all the crowds though Good to hear you are feeling better today (lucky it wasn't gastro!)
Karen - fingers crossed you don't catch what the kids have! What bad luck that one of the mechanics has to have some time off, just when your DH needs to rest! I love your new haircut - it must feel so light after having your hair long!
I can't rmember the last thread for the life of me So a big hello to everyone else!
Us - I'm finally feeling human again, thank goodness! I can understand how rotten Isla must have been feeling. So the only sick one in the family now is Elii - he is randomly complaining of a sore tummy, and will just burst into tears and say he is sore Really not sure what is going on, as sometimes he doing it completely out of the blue, and the other 50% of the time he seems to be doing it when he gets in trouble or doesn't want to do something Anyway, he has had some tests done and we see the Dr again tomorrow to discuss results. I actually hope they find something as it's so hard to know whether he is faking it or if it's genuine!
Isla is busy walking behind her toy on wheels - she is desperate to walk! Will see how long it takes her to figure out how to do it on her own
I better go and get some housework done (even though it is so tempting just to stay on here )
Posted 09 September 2009 - 12:28 PM
Here is a pic of Aaliya (and Elii!) on her birthday. Please excuse the chocolate around their mouths (taken after the birthday cake )
Posted 09 September 2009 - 01:46 PM
Great pic Linda, she looks so happy. And what a cheeky little soul Elii is.
Posted 10 September 2009 - 08:21 AM
Now I am sick. Caitie and I had a terrible night. She woke around 1am saying she felt sick, so I layed in bed with her, but I felt too sick to stay. I went out onto the couch to watch some tv and she followed. We both slept on and off until 6am when Michael came wandering out.
Linda, that photo is gorgeous.
Posted 10 September 2009 - 02:39 PM
Karen - oh no to catching it too Bound to happen though, kids seem to like sharing their illnesses
Tina - funny you should mention how cheeky Elii is - he decided to stick tissues up his nose, thought he was hilarious
And this one of Isla doing "high five"
Posted 10 September 2009 - 04:59 PM
Linda - I could tell from his grin that he had some mischief in him.
Karen - Hope you are feeling better soon.
Just discovered Jarvis now has 2 teeth. He is trying sooo hard to crawl, wont be long now.
Deakin has a pupil free day tomorrow for the show so he's asked to say at ILs and wont be back until Sat afternoon. He had asked for pasta for dinner tonight which I prepared this afternoon so I had to tell MIL how to get it ready as he told her he wanted 'English pasta' not 'Chinese pasta' . I dont think she quite knows how to do the sauce (and hide vegies in it).
Off to bath the boys.
Posted 10 September 2009 - 06:45 PM
Linda - Lovely pics. The high five one is very cute
Tina - I hope you enjoy some quieter nights being one child down.
Karen - Sorry you are sick
I've had an exciting few days - and a few to come still Firstly, my transfer came through I am elated. My job is now at the school I've been working at this year which is a 4 min drive from home. I plan to stay there for the rest of my working life, lol. Secondly I have one more working day left. Mixed feelings, but it's time to finish. I am beginning to drop so am feeling a bit too heavy to be doing sport and dancing etc. Plus it doesn't look very graceful
I had a Midwife appointment yesterday and she thinks I have good sized (big) baby on board. I had an inkling. I guess we'll see how accurate she is in a few weeks time. Trying not to worry about the delivery too much as I've delivered a big baby before but I am still a bit nervous.
Posted 10 September 2009 - 08:13 PM
Hey girls, thought I should check in
Kristy That's great news about your job I think you need to post an updated belly shot! Maybe the last one before this big baby arrives!! You never know, the midwife could be wrong.
Tina What exactly is 'chinese pasta' Deakin sounds like he comes out with some funny stuff lol. Loved the pics you posted of Jarvis and Carter. So cute
Linda Awww gorgeous pics How cool is the unicorn face painting! How did Elii's results go?
Karen Sorry to hear you have a tummy bug going through your house I hope it passes quickly for you all How did your DH go with his tests?
The kids all have conjunctivitis. I think I've been keeping it spreading by using Tobias' ointment on Joel And then today Hannah started getting it so we went back to the Dr to get individual prescriptions. I feel like such a dill but we've never really had it before so at least I know now.
I'm still sick and throwing up every so often, but coping much better I'm pretty sure I had a stomach bug last week when I couldn't keep anything down. Just so glad I'm not feeling like that now.
We went to a meeting last night at Hannah's school for next year. They start a transition program in October where the kids go in one morning a week for 5 weeks, just to get used to the place. I'm starting to get excited about it all now. Up till now I've just been focused on how the school runs next year will ruin my carefree life I guess it's a transition for us all
Posted 10 September 2009 - 09:39 PM
'Chinese pasta' in Deakin's world is pasta with a creamy sauce. Apparently MIL tried to serve it to him one night and he just looked at her and told her it was all wrong. I've only ever given him pasta with a tomato based sauce so he was a bit confused by the creaminess and why it was white and not a red sauce.
Nat - Glad to hear you are feeling better. The whole school thing definitely takes a bit of getting used to but you all eventually slip into a new routine.
Kristy - Great news on the transfer. Don't stress too much about the baby's size, you know you can do it. Any luck with name decisions? Any funny suggestions from the girls?
Off to bed, night all.
Posted 11 September 2009 - 09:35 AM
Thought it was about time i got back in here and back into the swing of things.
Tina Well done to Jarvis on getting 2 teeth without too much hassle. Hope the rest are all the same. How is your training for the run going?
Nat Glad to here you are feeling a bit better, or at least feeling like you are coping with being sick! I know what you mean about school, Tom starts next year and now i am excited, he is so ready, and starting to do my head in at home!
Kristy Congrats on the transfer, i know how much it means to you! Hope you enjoy the last day of work!! WooHoo.
Linda What a monkey Elli is!! Love how pleased he is looking with himself with the tissue up his nose. Your kids are all so gorgeous!! Hope you are feeling better
Kaz I hope you are feeling better hon.
Well things here are still a bit all over the place but slowly, slowly seem to be getting better. I have started seeing a councellor who is lovely and is keen to support me in getting off my AD medication. I know it is wonderful and helps some people but i just don't think it is right for me. I feel like I am stoned all the time, very vague and forgetful and inability to concentrate. I am in the process of finding a new doctor as my current one has basically said i am an idiot for wanting to go off my meds as i should see it is a lifetime thing, which i NEVER did. Anyway, i am working through a lot of stuff and hopefully i will get there in the end.
Work is going ok, and i haven't had too much trouble since a few weeks ago with my violent and threatening student. I am, at the moment, staying on for next year, as i know if i do't sort out what is going on and leave feeling negative about work I will never come back, and thats scarey as i love teaching.
The kids are great. Tom is off to school next year and is SO ready for it, and katelyn i think is very ready for Tom to go to school, just so she can get a bit more "girly" time without her barbies being abducted and tortured by the decepticons!!
Dh is ok, he had the flu a few weeks back, which has seen a significant decrease in his kidney function, so he is off to the specialist next week to see if they can get things back on track. Hopefully it will be ok. (Dh has a kidney transplant 10 years ago)
So thats us. One week of school left before the holidays, i think we will head away for a few days in the first week andthen home. WE have set up our chook pen so will be getting our chooks in the second week of the hols.
I am also back running(which fell by the wayside in the last few months) and i think i will do the 5 km run pn the run to the g day in october so i am off to the gym after school today. I have started sewing again too, which i am taking as a sign that i must be back on track to some extent, and i have MIL's queen quilt to finish by xmas and a baby"raggy" quilt to finish next week.
Well, had better get organised for my year 7 health class in an hour.
Sending you all lots of love.
I promise i will make more of an effort.
Posted 11 September 2009 - 12:49 PM
Sharyn, hi hun. Grrr to that dr not helping you to get off that medication if that's what you're wanting!! So glad you're getting some help from your new councellor. She sounds lovely. I'm sure Katie will love her time alone next year when Tom is at school. I know Caitie loves her time during the day, although does look forward to picking them up as well. Good luck to your DH for next week at the drs. What a worry for you all. Hope all is ok.
Nat, hope all the kids are over their conjunctivitis real soon. xo I told Mel this morning that I have a newfound sympathy for all you pregnant ladies going through m/s after being so sick yesterday. Glad you are feeling a little better this week. How exciting Hannah starting school next year. A new milestone.
Kristy, sooo excited for your transfer!! What a relief for you. I hope your last day isn't too sad.
Linda, those photos of Elii and Isla are too cute! Isla looks so big now!!
Me - I'm feeling much better today. I had a really good night's sleep last night. William is home today as he said he wasn't feeling well this morning. He seems to be perking up now though, but it wasn't worth the risk of sending him. Afterall, it's Friday, so it didn't hurt.
I am going to add the list here, sorry it's not on front page and sorry i've been slack with it. It's on the laptop and I don't get on there very often. The other computer doesn't have Word on it either, so I can't copy it onto that. But I thought with a few ladies due to give birth soon (), i'd best add it here...
NB: If you would like to be added to the list or have any changes please send me a PM as I will most likely miss your post in the general threads. Thanks!
Come join us for a chat on messenger, PM me your address and I will add.

Nat - I will do a belly pic soon I am hoping the midwife is wrong I've always shared the kids conjunctivitis meds in the past. Oops. School run certainly changes your life! Enjoy your time now.
Tina - Ooh, creamy pasta. He doesn't know what he's missing, lol. My kids love bosciola. We have a few girls names and one boys name we agree on. We always change our minds once we see the baby though. We really need to have another talk about it as it was months ago the last time we did it. Sophie wants to name the baby but of course I said no - she's pretty angry about it! Seems to think she has the right to name it I've told her she can name HER baby anything she wants once she has one.
Sharyn - Glad to hear you are plodding along. I can understand you wanting to continue with work. I think if I'd stopped when I was overwhelmed I'd never have gone back again. Good on you for facing it! Best of luck with your counselling and getting off the meds.
Karen - I hope William is okay now.
My last day of work went well. The staff were so lovely and spoilt the baby with a beautiful designer bear, mobile and bath toys. Considering I've only been there 8 months I felt very humbled. The parents of my class were so lovely too - they all came into the classroom 10 mins before the bell and gave me some lovely flowers and a voucher for a massage and facial. It was a bit emotional but I managed to keep it together (mostly). The kids were pretty good but it was hard seeing a few of the more sensitive kids tear up but try to be brave It has been such a fantastic year it is sad to not see it through but at least I know I will be back again since the transfer
It is so hot today and I am not coping very well at all. I feel headachey and bloated and just blurgh. Rose was looking a bit worried and asked if I was tired. I said yes. Then she said "Your face is all bruisy". I think she meant puffy, god bless her. She's right. I've puffed up terribly . Baby is also sitting in a way that is making it hurt when I walk. I'm hobbling about.
OKay, off to organise that belly pic. I wil warn you though - it ain't graceful!

Awwwww lovely pic Kristy. When I saw the first one I thought "Wow you're tiny!" and then I realised it was your 20 week shot You look like a nice neat little package there Sorry to hear all those uncomfortable bits of pregnancy are starting to kick in. Not long now How lovely was your send off from work? Hey Sophie sounds so much like Hannah, because according to her, this baby is 'her' baby lol.
Karen So glad to hear you're feeling better. Yup being sick sucks How did Andrew go with his tests?? See below..
Sharyn So much going on in your life atm, but you sound so positive and it's great to hear that you are getting back into all those hobbies you love It's so hard to find the right Dr, but the at least you know the one you have isn't good for you Hopefully you find the right one for you who can work with you and not against. It must be scary every time your DH gets sick. I hope he's well again soon.
Tina LOL I don't think I would have liked 'Chinese pasta' when I was a kid either
A bit of an evenftul day here...DH is spending the night in hospital.
It all started when he had a health assessment done at work yesterday and he found out he has low blood pressure and a low heart rate (apparently like an elite athlete - which he is not lol). He followed it up with GP today (had to take the kids back anyway who now have ear infections to go with their conjunctivitis that is thankfully clearing up). While at the Dr having ecg he started feeling light headed and having chest pains so she sent him off to the ED which is where he has been since (midday).
I'm glad he's there really as if there is something wrong it would be good to know. I'm suspecting maybe it's a problem he's had his whole life and thankfully he didn't drop dead without us ever knowing He really hasn't been asking any Q's though, so am really clueless to what it could be. He's doing a stress test in the morning and then should be home.
And that's his two days off work..
Posted 13 September 2009 - 07:35 AM
Been awake since 5.15am!! Carter was stirring in his sleep and unfortunately woke Jarvis up. I brought him into my bed in the hope that a quick feed would send him back to bed but it wasn't to be. He is sooo close to commando crawling now, he get definitely get to wherever/whatever he wants.
I think I might be getting a cold. I've woken up all stuffed up and have a really sore throat. J is also a bit snotty so looks like he's got it as well.
Nat - Hope all the tests go well for your DH.
Kristy - Great belly shot. What a great sendoff from your work, I would have also been teary seeing all those littlies so sad that you are going. Rest up as much as you can over the next few weeks. So is the nursery set up and ready to go? More importantly, are you ready?
Sharyn - Great to hear from you. Well done on being so proactive with regards to your mental health and trying to find the best carer for you. It is certainly a good sign that things are looking up when you start back at your hobbies that give you pleasure. My running is coming along well, I don't get out as much as I would like though. The city-bay is next Sunday so I'm hoping to do a few more training runs this week.
Karen - Hoping that all the sickness has now left your house. It's hard work being sick yourself and also having sick kids to care for.'
Well I'd better make some breakfast for Jarvis. DH is home today and not sure what we are doing. There is a new kids market that is having it's 2nd opening so I'd like to check that out. Also, get a decent run done would be nice.
Have a great Sunday whatever you are doing.
Posted 13 September 2009 - 08:38 PM
Tina Blerghhh I hope your cold doesn't last too long. I've just got over being stuffed up with a sore throat all week, and then today the hayfever has hit
DH came home around midday. They were concerned with making sure he hadn't had a heart attack, which he thankfully had not. He is now following up his other issues with the GP and specialist.
