There will be from mid next year - at the San, Wahroonga. Part of their huge redevelopment, 2 specially designed water birth rooms  original.gif

I think a lot of things have changed at Norwest private most of the complaints are from 2009 it's been 4 years now i stayed there briefly and i loved it, i am due to have my baby there very soon.

I have had a horrid time at the SANs and i will never return a formal investigation is underway as i type at that hospital due to what i endured there

This is great news! Which doctors are on board with this?

I'd say there will be a few Doctors on board - I'll ask my OB when I see him next month http://www.sah.org.au/devt/new-maternity-unit

Hi, I know that this is an old thread but thought I'd put my two cents in.  Had my DS at the Hills in 2009 and my DD at Norwest Private in October 2012.

Most of the midwives in the baby nursery that were at the Hills are still at Norwest Private.

I couldn't fault my experiences at both hospitals.  The births were good.  Breastfeeding support was great.  If we were to have a third, I would go to Norwest again.
