I feel guilty claiming first place since I am not in here all that often! I tend to follow everyone's Facebook status's more than EB.
We have all been well, Damian is now doing 2 days at pre-school & is thoroughly enjoying it, he will start soccer soon as well as swimming lessons from this week. Eva turned 2 in June; time is flying! she has just started Tiny Tots dancing - too cute & will also be doing swimming lessons with D.
Cathy: I am thinking of you & hope you are doing well xo
Marina: You lucky thing heading to Europe, it sounds wonderful!
Kate: All the best with your studies.
Aimee: How is Gabriel enjoying school? Congrats on becoming an aunt again.
Tanya: How have you been feeling?
Nic: Glad to hear Mitchell is doing well.
Christine: Facebook seems to take up most of my spare time these days as well Congrats on your scholarship.
Alybel: Congrats on your pregnancy! not long to go now.
I must leave it there & serve dinner..
Hello to everyone I have missed xo Sharon

OMG Sharon Eva is 2 already!! That has gone so fast!
Wow Sine I think it's totally cool you're doing nursing.
I wish I had 'something' that was calling me...
You're going to do so well
Us - We're good. I have a little bit of a delema happening atm. Benji is in preschool 2 days a week, has been since the end of term 2. But we have abit of a bump in the road atm. He doesn't want to go anymore. Apparently "my friends have been hurting me" [that's quoting Ben]. He got up the courage on Wednesday to go after refusing to earlier in the morning... he changed his mind at 9.30am! So I packed him up to take him. Got there, signed the book [while Benji ran down the back], and was puting his lunch in the fridge when he came in because he had fallen over.... was being tough and handling it... then broke down He wanted to go home. [Was no drama at all, he had a great day at home with me ]
I spoke to the director about the boys [i was in the middle of that when he came in]. She was very apologetic, and wants me to see if I can get out of Ben who it is.
But I'm stuck at how to encourage benji to go the PS, cause he really doesn't want to go now, and he loves it sooo much. But now these boys have scared him. AND he has started hitting at home
Any advice oh wise Awesome chickybabes?

MissCinders - sorry I don't have any advice as Michael doesn't go to any child care/preschool at the moment as he didn't like going. I tried putting him in a few times but he cried so much we just took him out entirely. I am not sure how he will go at school next year! I hope that you can work something out for Benji. All the best.
Sine - well done on doing nursing, that has always been a thought for me to do too but doubt I will ever get around to it.
Sharon - how is the dancing? I think my DD would love to do that but don't know anyone that has tried it (she was 3 two weeks ago).
As for us, we have been very busy with a new baby in the house. Ad m was born on 5 november weighing 10lb 6oz (4.7kg) and has been going well since a short stay in special care due to not being able to control his blood glucose levels.
Michael has just started swimming lessons and is really enjoying it. He has his orientation day at school in a couple of weeks so it will be interesting to see how he goes as we have to drop him off and pick him up after lunch. I am really hoping that he enjoys it as he has never liked it when he was in childcare.
Samantha turned 3 on 2 november and is such a big girl! I think sheis more ready for school than Michael is will definitely be a lot different next year with just her and my baby at home, starting to feel sad about not having Michael around as much already.
Better go, just fed Adam and really should get some sleep. Goodnight.

Oh cluck cluck cluck. How gorgeous is Mr Adam! Look at all those cute little baby rolls in his pic. awwwww. Congratulatlons hun, you did great there. Sorry to hear he had to spend some time in special care - hope he is doing better now.
Cinders - love your sig honey. Thank you very much - great reminder for everyone to go have a feel up of their boobies!!!!! Got the gorgeous parcel - thank you soooooo much. Looks likes lots for everybody. You should have seen charlie's face - and emily of course was trying to put the "jigsaw" together. lol. I can't use the hair bands at the moment (no hair lol) so I am letting the girls use them - hope that's okay! lol. Charlie has done the whole - this and this colour are mine, emily can use this colour. You definately have some beautiful and of course, creative friends out there. Can you thank them all for me please! It was an absolutely beautiful gift to open. My post chick here was like "who are the awesomes" - lol. I said "just the best bunch of women i know". Then went on to explain you all. lol.
No real advice re Benji either - i was blessed with reasonably good kids in that aspect. I found they adapted quite well. Poor Emily got bit yesterday though by another kid. I know at the age the daycare kids are - that those things happen - so i didn't get too upset or anything. Just made sure they had spoken to the kid who had did it and also told the parents. With Charlie's kindy - they have been taught to use "STOP IT, I DON"T LIKE IT" when they are being bullied or made to do something they don't like. It seems to work quite well with this bunch of kids - don't know if its because there are only a small number? Emily took the three weeks to settle in (she is going three days a week). I think it helps that charlie has been next door (they have a fence that separates the kindy from the daycare). She would cry each time i left her but would be happy within 20 minutes for the rest of the day. I have already noticed Em is using the word "NO" a lot more and can only assume she uses it there as well. lol I have found, in general, boys to be a lot rougher when playing - perhaps suggest he play with the girls a bit more?

Cath I just read Brads FB update on todays results. You are being sent the most massive of hugs and love from us Lawlers. You are one amazing lady who I know will see this as just another hurdle to winning this battle. If there is ANYTHING I can do from here, just give me a yell. I've put my ugly mug on the other side of the camera too And I have to say I think I'd prefer your smooth shiney head to this frizzy mess I have atm! You photgraph much better than me! Love to you babe xoxo

Oooh managed to get my original EB user name back......yay.
Just thought I would try and see if we could get a few faces back and see what people are doing. Especially with so many little Aprilites heading off to the big world of school next year!!!
B and O aren't - we have decided to give them another year of Preschool so they will start in 2011. Are there others holding back? They are both growing fast and are soooooo different from each other, especially in height that you wouldn't think they were twins. B is a real outdoor boy, very much into sport and swimming, O loves his lego and construction toys!
Our big boy is really big now (18), and just finished school!!!! Can't believe we made it to HSC and he is now awaiting results for Uni next year. He is also still very much into acting and performing throughout the holidays.
I studied all last year and am now working part-time in Catering, so very busy at this time of year. I am also in the middle of a few ventures working from home. I don't really want full time of anything until the boys are in school, and am aiming to study further in Food Auditing next year.
What is everyone up to for Christmas? We are having a family one here at home and then hoping to do a trip to ACT and VIC in the New Year.
Anyway think of you all often.

YAY You're Gracie again!!
Yep we are keeping Benji back another year. We ended up taking him out of Preschool after the "bullying" thing. He is starting back again next year. Fingers crossed he handles it, he is very clingy with JA and me. And doesn't handle being away from home very good at all. He's been much happier since being home, so I'm not sure how he will go, going back next year.
I seen B graduated! I was thinking to myself "No way! He can't be *that* old yet!!" Then I remembered DSS is only 12 months older and he is 19yo now!
Mum is down atm, stayed here onite on her way to my sisters. Not long until her #5 is born, she's got a minor case of polyhydramnios... which I had a severe case of with T7.. so Mum has come down early to stay with her before bub comes. Although to tell the truth I doubt she'll make it to term [which is bugger all away anyway!], bub is "locked & loaded" to quote her OB. So I'm going to be an Aunty again REALLY soon!!
We're having a family Christmas with my family the wkend before xmas day. Mum wants to have all the kids together while she is here... so I'm hoping it's not too hot for the drive down and back [it's 2 hours each way]. I'm trying to con Himself into having a night at his Mums, so we can ditch the kids and go catch up with friends in Medowie! So far he's said no... party pooper!

we are all well. Sammy will not start school untill 2011 as well, just not ready and is such a sweet boy, he idolises his big bro but can't keep up. I think "master 2yrs" Oliver will be ready for school before Samuel.
Cathy, big hugs to you and your girls, you are doing an amzing job, keep kicking the big C's butt. You will be pleases to know I have been checking my boobies on a regular basis

Bree isn't going to school till 2011 either, she could do with the extra confidence. Bran, however starts high school next year which is pretty scary.
Congrats on the birth of Adam Alybel.
How's things going for you Tanya?
Cathy, glad you are safely home, rest up!

Cath - I hope everything went well for you, have been thinking of you.
Michael is starting Prep next year even though he will be one of the younger ones in his year. He had an orientation morning yesterday where we had to leave him there for the morning. He didn't want to be dropped off and Samantha was the one that was the most upset. When we drove away she had tears in her eyes and was very quiet. Michael seemed to enjoy it although told us he doesn't want to go to again, he was exactly the same way when he used to go to childcare as well. I hope I have made the decision in starting him next year and not waiting another year. Both myself and DH started school a year early so we didn't really question keeping him back. Guess we'll find out in time.

Seb won't be starting school until 2011. I don't think he is ready, and is a real shy kid, so would prefer that he has another year of kinder, and gain more confidence. I think another year will do him wonders.
I'm 35 weeks today!! So hopefully bub should be here very soon, but hopefully not until after Christmas, I'm no where near organised before then LOL
Posted 14 December 2009 - 06:38 PM
H is not going until 1011 either, she has a speech delay and is still not socialising very well after being at pre-school one or two days a week for 2 years.
It is great to see a few more faces in here. Love it.
Cath I hope you and the fam are going well. you are just so amazing!
ITanya 35 weeks HOW exciting!

hi everyone, Im only new to EB (joined tonight) but I also have an April 05 boy. He starts kindergarten next year and will go 3 full days a week and he is so excited! mind you, he has been in childcare since he was 10 months old and even though I have been a stay at home for the last 12 months, he has still had one full day in care, and a pre-kindy session once a week at the school which he will go to. So I cant see any problems for him next year.
