How do I make a photo 470 x 160 without it stretching and looking distorted?
Thanks in advance.

Well......if you have photoshop, you can create a 470*160 template, then add a frame, resize the frame to the 470*160 and then put the picture into the frame. You can then readjust to make sure it's not distorted.
Otherwise, I am happy to help, if you email / post a link I can put it into a siggy for you.

Okay I've made a 470 by 160 template but I don't know how to add a frame? I have cs3 are you able to post the steps?

I have Photoshop Elements, so not sure what it looks like.....ok googgled CS3.
I would open your image that you want as your siggy
then find the Rectangular Marquee tool (dotted square box)
drag that tool around the image
copy and paste it into your template
then resize as needed
If that doesn't work, you can email me the picture (will literally take about 5 secs to do it for you)

I've emailed you now thanks
I followed those steps and when I paste it into the template it doesn't centre it in proportion it just drops the whole image into it and the template shows a portion of the sky from the total image (you can drag it around to centre on other parts but it doesn't gauge the whole image).
I was hoping to work out how to do it myself so I don't have to ask each time LOL. Poxy PS
