Thanks original.gif  I still can't believe it's a boy, I was convinced it was pink  laugh.gif I would've loved another little girl but at the same time I'm relieved because Emily is throwing hissy fights like you wont believe - dont think Damian ever got that bad. unsure.gif And another bonus - boys can't get pregnant laughing2.gif

Just very happy that he's happy and healthy in there - can't ask for anything else right original.gif

Jacqui - how are you traveling miss?  original.gif

Kirsten - yay at the new car tthumbs.gif

Belle - thinking of you and Kai tomorrow! original.gif  Good luck!

Miranda - hope your ear clears up soon sad.gif

Tash - your house piccies on yr blog are amazing! How exciting!

AFM - nothing exciting happening over here.  Looking at rentals on the internet - it is going to be a pain to look at rentals with 2 kids in tow but we really need to shift to a place thats more suitable for us/kids.  There's a nice one in Box Hill and a few nice ones in Quakers Hill etc.. between 550-600 a week though ffear.gif but we can write some of the rent off come tax time.  And the benefits of being back in the hills area are well worth it.

Tomorrow I'm taking Damian to the zoo with his friend from over the road.  Feel a bit guilty for taking Emily to childcare instead but I think it's just going to be too hard for me to run after her all day.  She's a little bum and just wont listen or go anywhere near a pram/leash  ddown.gif I'll take her next year when Damian is in school or something

Anywho.. better go and start dinner!

Hope you're all keeping well!

Don't feel guilty Lynny! I think its nice for Damian to have that one on one with you and it will be much more relaxed. I have my first Nate only day tomorrow and am looking forward to it. Tomorrow my SIL is coming over but next week I am going to take him to the beach if the weather is nice. original.gif

So my first child free day was AWESOME!!!! ddance.gif I seriously feel like a new woman! I did the walk from Dee Why to Curl Curl - so beautiful - a good work out too, it was hot! Then after that I had a coffee and a bagel (and about 5 glasses of water LOL) and read my book. Then stopped at the shops on the way home and did a spot of shopping, came home, did some jobs and had a cuppa then went to pick up the kids. biggrin.gif Leo despite screaming the place down when I left, had a great day. He went to sleep no trouble and slept 2 hours and he was having a ball playing when I  picked them up. He didn't even cry when he saw me and was happy to go off and play again while I got their stuff ready ddance.gif He didn't eat a thing all day (refused brekky too but is scoffing his dinner.

Better get him into bed soon though, he's pretty tired.

Congratulations Lynny! biggrin.gif

Sounds like a fabulous day Kay

Miranda Hope your ears back to normal soon - that would drive me nuts!

I'm still feeling quite nervous about tomorrow. Not really sure why though. He didn't cry/wasn't fazed by the orientation days. We took him in today for an assessment with his teacher, which went well, he was fine with being left there with her on his own for 1/2 hr. HE is beside himself excited. He's dead set on catching the bus to school with Tien tomorrow and having us meet him at the other end (the meeting him at the other end was our idea, he didn't seem to care if we even rocked up at all!). I KNOW that he'll be totally unfazed by everything tomorrow AND have a ball....but I still feel REALLY nervous - totally illogical - Gosh I hate illogical things!

Belle - You are allowed to feel this way. You're darling boy is heading off to school for the first time tomorrow!!! We are all going to be the same next year.
(not sure about the states that do their kinder/pre-prep?? year at the primary school though. I really don't get how that works??)
It is fantastic that Kai is so excited about it. You know he will have an amazing time. Take photos wink.gif

Kay - Glad you used your day well. I have had a few days to myself lately blush.gif and I find myself pottering around aimlessly, doing nothing for myself, or the house.Wasted days! Make use of every one you get. I know that if I don't get called into work tomorrow, I am going to value my day a lot more after reading about yours biggrin.gif

Off to watch the last bit of Survivor (I do love that show!)

Belle - Oooooooooh, so exciting. Funny little Mr Independence hey! laughing2.gif Can't wait to hear how it goes, I suspect he'll be fine and you'll be a mess bbighug.gif

Mardi - I was feeling so flat and lazy too but a nice walk at the beach really sorted me out biggrin.gif

Karina - Ooooh nice day too!

Can I have a little brag? blush.gif I am uploading some video of Nate reading onto Facebook. I'm just so proud of him I have to share with someone LOL. I don't want it to look like a big brag so I've only made it open to you guys in case any of you are interested. original.gif blush.gif

Oh just adding -  also proud of him because although he told me he did not want to see Leo at preschool he actually went and cuddled him a few times today. Then he got concerned because he couldn't see him (he was having his nap). Then he insisted on going and checking on him to make sure he was sleeping ok wub.gif

Gorgeous videos Kay!!! Love 'em! wub.gif

As expected Kai went really well today original.gif We did have some tears this morning, but only because he realised that we were already part way through the week meaning he only gets three days this week and not five! He caught the bus in this morning with Tien and we met them there. Totally unfussed by the whole thing, told me I wasn't allowed into his class because I was too big for school...gave me a big hug and kiss outside the room and excitedly followed the line of kids in after their teacher. Too easy!

2 days down....he's just loving it!!! I'm sooo happy he's slotted into school life so easily, leaves me with no doubt that chasing the school for early entry was the right thing! Such a relief biggrin.gif

Sorry, I've got a little bit of a single focus at the moment....give me a week and I'll get used to the idea that he's at school and cruising along nicely, then I may be able to speak of something else!

Totally understand Belle. It was a big call and looks like totally the right one - Yay!! original.gif

Belle, I am thrilled to hear that Kai is loving school biggrin.gif You are allowed to talk of nothing else for as long as you want...it brings me joy biggrin.gif

Sorry, can't remember what I have read on the previous pages!

I have spent the week getting up early, shoving Caius off to CC then slothing around the house all day doing nothing! I know it sounds wonderful, but it is driving me batty! I can't believe that I really want to work!!! He is home today so we are enjoying a quiet morning of yet more slothing about.

I have work on Monday, but nothing more as of yet. Hoping some teachers get sick soon. I am starting to stress about money. Don't get paid for the 3 days I did last week until next fortnight but still have to pay CC, bills etc. OUCH!!!

I am wondering if anyone else has experienced a reluctance to pick their child up form CC? I am bored during the day, but once I pick up Caius, all I hear is whinging and sooking. It's doing my head in! I want to enjoy hanging out with my boy but nothing makes him happy in the afternoon after an exciting day with his friends. We battle about food (wants junk, complains of being hungry but then won't touch his dinner), watching tv/DVD's, playing Nintendo, having a bath, going to bed..... I breathe a huge sigh of relief when he finally goes to sleep. It sucks!! So, when it hits time to go and pick him up from CC, I really don't want to!! Feeling a little guilty about it, but hoping that I (or he) get over it soon!!!

Whinge over, guess I really should try and do some housework. The house is dirtier than when I am working! Not good!

Love to you all

Hmmmm, sounds like the feeling might be mutual! Caius just asked me to ring Nanna and get her to come and pick him up to go to her house. I asked if I could come..."Nope, I don't want you, just Nanna" sad.gif
Cheeky little so-and-so!!! Tounge1.gif

Oh Mardi, you are not alone! 9 times out of 10 Nate tells me he had a horrible time at preschool, everyone was mean to him and he didn't have any fun at all. (All not true!) Then he moans etc. I try to have dinner pretty much ready when we get in, sit him in front of a show for 30 mins and then feed him, bath and bed by 7pm.

He's actually been a lot better lately, yesterday he told me he had a lovely day, had fun, played with everyone, missed me but was still happy wub.gif

And the house definitely gets dirtier with people in it all day!
