after hot tips on cleaning timber venetians and normal venetian blinds

we have white timber venetians and also normal aluminium venetians. do you have any great ways of cleaning them.

I dust them using the brush from my brush and pan. Never given them a proper clean though.

I have both & I know it's probably not recommended by manufacturers, BUT .............. I take mine down, hang them on the clothesline with 2 big S hooks & either use sugar soap in a bucket of water or that spray that you hook to your hose to clean windows.
Give them a good soap up then spray clean with hose, let them swing around on line to dry them hang back up.
Works perfectly everytime !! I have had my timber venetians for years & years & they are still perfect !

For timber blinds try using oil soap, tried on the weekend & it worked like a dream

I also hang mine on the clothesline, but use dishwashing liquid and water with a dustpan and broom soft brush to clean them. Hosing them off is the best way to get rid of all the suds
