Hey girls,

thanks for your posts about the body pillow, might get my mother to stop at target (she works near one) and pick one up for me. At the moment I have barely left the house, only for blood tests etc and cravings, bc I feel so so sick, not chucking up but worst cause of nausea, swirling around in there. And its only the beginning of it.

Amanda - details for your update.

Twins due: 11th November 2010
Sex of twins/ID or Fraternal: Fraternal

Other children: These are our first bubbas

michelle - so so close now. That is so exciting. biggrin.gif

Earthangel - and only 5 weeks for you, wow, will be here within an instant.

bella - I find that the best place for pringles are the servo's. Might cost a bit more, but normally they sell them.

Got blood test results back today and all is looking good for the two munchkins, and now will be back on clexane and daily again, was hoping for a change e.g only every second day, but no sad.gif Ohh well...
US for heartbeat is tuesday week, so super excited about that, will be 7 1/2 weeks, that sounds like nothing yet. Yet it has gone so slow. Especially since I had the scan on tuesday and my due dates were put back about 4 days bc of their size.I'm only getting back to where I thought I was now.

Hope everyone is having a great day and looking after yourselves.

Noticed too that sydney has the baby expo on at the end of april/early may. Will be 11 or so weeks then, so start of a good time to go looking. He he this is exciting...

Anyways, be good and talk soon,

Kat

I'm going to take SILVER because PP didn't original.gif

Now will come back and do personals in a second!

ETA:

miaandme - I'm feeling good sweet!  Still working, still running around after toddler, braved the Baby Expo in Adelaide myself today (not much of interest, and NO triplet prams or other stuff anywhere).  So far so good!  I am expanding quickly and think I've felt one of the babies move (feels like it did with DD) even though it's so early they're probably banging against stuff!  Oh I have joined the MBA too, they're fantastic!  There's actually another lady who has twins who has a husband in the Police Force.  Apparently you get more home help because of the shift work?

HI Ladies,

I am still hanging in there ... my GD has been mostly good , a couple of crap readings but most are ok..

Am on weekly visits now and hopefully get my stitch out at 36 weeks... I am nearly over lugging this belly around as it is getting quite heavy now...

Here is my 30 week bump..

Hope everyone else is good

Hi there, can I join in?
I'm currently 28 weeks with ID boys.  I've actually been lurking around here for a while now, but I couldn't post from work and was just to tired at home.  I'm about to finish up (7 days to go!) and couldn't sleep, so thought I'd finally get around to posting.

My details are:
Username/Real name: madknitter / Jenelle
Location: ACT
Twins due: 11th June 2010
Sex of twins/ID or Fraternal: ID boys
Hospital: Plans are for trying a VBAC at Canberra Hospital
Other children: DD 3 years.

Hello!

Oh dear, I find it so hard to get in here....but alas its 3am and I've just woken up vomitting...so I guess now is my time while it is still quiet!

Just as I thought the MS had abated and the heartburn had kicked in...I was wrong!

I now have a prominent bump...measuring about 3 weeks ahead..but I feel myself getting bigger every day! I can't even imagine what it will be like when they finally start to do the big growth stuff...

BP is still low at 85/50...hope that doesn't get to much lower! Trying to keep up with two kids is hard when you can't stand up!

Bought my dream stroller on EBAY...I think now the only things I really need is a sleeping receptical or two (?) and a NEW CAR!

My OB must be happy with the pg so far as he's made it 6 weeks till I have to come back...they are both perfectly aligned right to left either side of the midline..hopefully as they grow this will be a bit like swadling and they wont be able to change position...I need a VB...who could contemplate coming home after CS alone with 4 kids under 4.5!!!

Oh well, looks like I"ve made up for not being here often with a long and perfectly me ,me ,me, me post!

Woke at 230 cos baby/ies on bladder, at 330 still awake so have spent the last hour sorting out all the babies' clothes.

I am assuming we will need size 00000? Is that right? I have a few 0000 but that's it cos both boys were big buffer babies; DS1 went straight into 000 and DS2 was only in 0000 for a week or two.

Welcome Janelle!

Rochelle, have you looked into the support you can get through In Home Care? Contact your local Multiple Birth Association. I will have 4 under 4 so am entitled to a nanny to come in. Is your OB worried about your BP? Yours is my normal one- it did go up a bit at the end of the last 2 pgs but only to 95/60.

Brooke, the bump is looking good!

Kel, I was thinking of going to the expo today with both boys (am I insane?) but sounds like it wont be worth it.

Kat, sounds like everything is going along smoothly so far. Don't worry about the time- it will fly by.

Well DH will be home in about 12hrs- hooray! And now it looks like he wont need to go back, which is even better. It just wasnt good timing with what I had on at work this week; tho I did fake a 'child is ill gotta collect him from childcare' to get out of a 3hr mtg yesterday. It meant I picked the kids up early and we had some quality time together- they have been out of sorts with DH away.

Mmm hungry now. Wonder if I can get back to sleep before the boys will get up, and we have to race out the door for swimming lessons??

Good luck Zola!

Amanda - my girls were 2.4/2.6 and in 00000 for over a month. Of course some people have huge twins - but you should have a general size idea after your growth scans.

What pram Roachie?

DD was 2.4kg and we only had 3 long 00000 sleep suits.  No doubt this time I'll need more, but for DD I had 0000 Bonds wondersuits which are pretty small too.

Hi everyone,

Just a very quick one from hospital to let you know our twins arrived safely yesterday. It was a bit of a surprise as we had been told by 2 OBs that we were having a boy and a girl, but out popped 2 boys!!
William Bryce Alexander arrived first weighing 6lb 7oz, followed a minute later by Maxwell Hugo Wolfgang weighing 6lb 4oz.

They both needed a few hours in a crib with O2 and are having top up feeds via tubes, but are impressing the midwives with how well they are doing.

Hope everyone is doing well... will check again when we get home original.gif

Congratulations Zola on the safe arrival of your two boys.  babyboy.gif  babyboy.gif What a surprise it must have been when the second boy was delivered.

AFM - I woke up at 4am this morning and couldn't get back to sleep. Laid on the couch watching crap TV and eating toast. I hope this is a one off and doesn't become a habit. I went to Aqua today with my mum. Took it easy as not really meant to be doing too much till the thyroid get's sorted. I came back had something to eat and then had a nice long nanna nap. Have a 16 week growth scan on Tuesday so looking forward to seeing how the bubbas are doing. I know they are growing as I have popped out so much in the last week or so.

I hope everyone had a relaxing weekend x BB after my scan on Tuesday.

Congrats Zola on your twin BOYS!  I can only imagine your reaction when boy #2 was delivered LOL.  I wouldn't be surprised if this happens with one of ours original.gif

Jobstar - Enjoy your scan!  I got to see the trio today after some stronger AF type pains, but all fantastically well with strong heartbeats!  The dividing membrane between the ID twins has made the sac look like a love heart original.gif

Congratulations Zola on the Birth of your twin boys ...  babyboy.gif  babyboy.gif

Hope you are doing well...

Well last night I thought we were in labour, but decided to try and have a sleep and although I woke quite a few times with big pains, then looking at the clock, going for a wee, then going back to sleep again, only to be woken again with another pain, but had forgotton the previous time on the clock, so dont really know of how far apart my pains were...next time I will have to write it down... I am pretty sore this morning though , feel like I have run a marathon... with a bit of period pain across my back..so I will keep a check on it today ...

Hope everyone else is doing good ..

#18 bubby4and5

Posted 22 March 2010 - 04:24 PM

Well only a couple of pains today... all petered out !!

Still have a pretty sore tummy though.. Back to the OB and Diabetic Educator tomorrow..

Fertile Woman, no I wouldnt be dissapointed if they come out this early, I sort of need them out in the next couple of weeks so I can continue with my nursing prac at a local hospital starting in Term 2 ( another 8 weeks ).. That way it will give me time to get the 6 week checkup and be right to go

Mia, I think you are further along than me ... is your milk in yet and do you have sore lumpy Boobs??

Hope everyone is good

#19 miaandme

Posted 22 March 2010 - 06:09 PM

Hi bubby4&5

I have had a lot of pains as you have described, but they haven't gone anywhere.  I've had a few terrible nights, but full labour has not started. Yesterday I had some pink stained cervical mucous, but none today.  At my scan last Thursday cervix was 2.3cm which is not particularly short (bugger).

I will be 36 weeks on Wednesday.

I have had two lots of steroid injections which have also made me feel terrible!!

My breasts are sore and hard and lumpy and there is some kind of milk in there!!  Not sure if its the steroids or not, but I also had a blocked duct that was sore for a few days!

I'm really getting sore and tired.  Getting in and out of the car is awful and I feel yuck.  Although there is only 9 days to go, I don't know how I'm going to do it honestly, I feel like I'm at the end of tether physically and emotionally.....

How are you feeling, I have two kids, but you have 3 to look after!!  I think that is what is also making it very challenging at this stage...

Michelle

Miaandme..My kids are 18, 16, 13 and a DSS 13 ... so a fair bit older and mainly self sufficient..

I am over it now, and I am only 33 weeks... I am hoping to whinge enough tomorrow to get her to think about taking the stitch out next week... not sure how I will go though... Yeah my boobs are definitely harder and lumpier... and they have milk... It only started a couple of days ago, and before that they were bigger but still empty..

Congats Zola on the arrival of ur boys. I bet that was a shock... I probably would have thought crap triplets hehe.

I had my Ob vist today... went really well. Yesterday arvo for some reason I was feeling that the twins were up to something. And today ...  One is heads down eexcite.gif hopefully it starts there.. I really want a natural delivery.

Twin 1 ( heads down) is approx 1.1 kgs and twin 2...who is head's down aswell ... But he/she curves around the top... iykwim... is approx 1kg.

Is that good for nearly 28 weeks?

My ob said that I don't need a growth scan until 34 weeks sad.gif that so many u/s are not needed when things are going fine huh.gif

No diabetes ddance.gif veryyy low iron. Blood pressure good.. Which is great after the last time.. 140/94 ekkkk.

We have had no power for 3.5 hrs.... So not happy!!! Missed the final of My Kitchen Rules and now Desparate House Wifes. sad.gif  luckily my mil is taping them for me lol.

I better get off the net ... I am using my mobile oooops Tounge1.gif

morning girls

congrat zola!!!! biggrin.gif that must have been a surprise, a pleasent one though to find that there were two boys. Hope everything is going really well for you. Cant wait to hear how they are going.

And there are a couple of yoiu ladies that are so so close to the end. So all the best for this exciting event. Sounds though that you are more then happy for them to come out.

Kathreen - No power? Are you anywhere where the great big storms have been. And really glad that your obst appointment went really well, sounds like your bubbas are going great guns. original.gif

AFM - I'm still hanging out for my hb us. Realised when we had it booked its the day we come back from canberra for our anniversary, so had to push it back another day. Another day seems like an eternity for me. I guess the longer I wait the more I see, but am so anxious, am in a dig where many ladies have had their us and heard the heart beat already. Will be a day off 8 weeks when I get to see the little muchkins.  Also have seriously bad nausea, to the point where I cant go back to work, I guess you gals have been there and done that. How bad was it for you girls?

Anways hope you all have a great day,
