Gorgeous name, cant wait to read all about it.

Jac, glad all is well with you and the beautiful Miss Imogen. She is so adorable!

Karina- I havent tried the waffles at Max B's. Each time we get the fondue for 2, between the four of us... drool worthy dessert after the movies. Yum original.gif

waves.gif  HOME!

huge apologies for not replying / sending messages to some of you - I was inundated with them and too sick to reply sad.gif

The whole c/section was one big nightmare..

Doctors had trouble finding the 'perfect' spot for my spinal block - it took a good 4-5 local shots and 5-7 goes with the spinal needle before they decided to let the 'more experienced doctor' do it.  By this stage I was blubbering, swearing and squashing the nurses hands to bits sad.gif

Surgery went ok, recovery went ok but a couple of hours afterwards I started feeling really ill.. asked for some medication to fix it - Two nurses said that the only stuff they could give me would involve a trip to the chemist but that I shoudnt worry cos it's on its way..

Waited hours, begged for the stuff again, got nothing and well I proceeded to vomit 5 times in a row - not pleasant straight after a c/s!!

Nurses insisted the anti spew stuff was still on its way but a few hours later (after DH had gone home to pick kids up from preschool) I spewed again.

A new nurse introduces herself to me - she's involved in training other nurses.  She gives me a quick once over and is horrified to learn that I've been so sick and orders a needle of something or other to help with the nausea..  checks my pad, wayyyy too much blood loss, blood pressure also too low, heartrate hovering around 37-42 bpm - she gave the two nurses a mouthful for not giving me a saline drip and hits the emergency button on the wall to get some help in asap..  orders 3 needles to be jabbed in my leg (can't remember what for).

My bed was surrounded by 10+ nurses and doctors.. all poking prodding at me..  one doctor felt my wound internally and with his other hand pushed down really hard on the outside sick.gif sick.gif

Long story short the rest of the day I was ordered to drink as much water as possible.. to call the nurses as soon as I felt a trickle of blood..  got given regular check ups and close monitoring for the rest of the night.. Thankfully by about 9pm that evening I started feeling half human again..  And with all this going on my darling MIL and SIL still thought it was a good idea to pop in for a visit rant.gif rant.gif I was furious!

Saturday morning I felt like a new woman - amazing how much can change in 24 hours!

Little man is doing really well - sleeps and eats beautifully. I woke up to porno boobies this morning laughing2.gif I have forgotten how yuck b/feeding is in the first few days - messy, painful, etc just hands.gif they settle down soon sad.gif

Damian is besotted with bubs wub.gif but Emily couldnt care less.  If you ask her where the baby is she runs to the other side of the room sad.gif

Anywho.. sorry I can't write more - bub is asleep so I better go and get some zzzz's myself!

Thanks for all the lovely messages and sorry again for not updating any of you sooner!  xxxxxx
