http://www.essentialbaby.com.au/forums/ind...howtopic=819984 - Old thread

Was going to post and then realised we could use a new thread.

My news is that I have changed surgeons and am now getting my boobs in exactly two weeks today! I am actually going to Brisbane now. For those who asked for surgeon recommendations, if you're interested in the change and why let me know. Nothing to do with the surgeon I was going to himself, just an option more tailed to myself I think.

Woohoo!!

Wow, Nic! Two weeks will go past in a flash!!! Are you changing because of the better weather up there? Tounge1.gif

I hate QLD weather... Eew!!!

No. To summarise, this surgery uses an implant newer to Australia (but used for 40 odd years elsewhere) that minimises certain risks that I am more likely to experience, and allows me to get anatomical shaped implants without the risk of them rotating and causing distortion. And I figure these guys do basically nothing but breasts mostly. They specialise purely in cosmetic surgery and are the leading surgeons in the area in Australia for number of surgeries done and for use of this type of implant.

They know what they are doing!

Sounds like I am a similar body type to you from your last posts Nic, so I'm going to have to do a heap of research before I get mine...

I am a Brunhilde. Wide shoulders and big rib cage. I am actually big boned!!! Fat too, but still big boned. And because my breasts are as under developed as they are (thank you PCOS) even wearing a padded push up bra just makes me look like a wheelie bin with tennis balls stuck to the front.

It's really scary. I don't want anything huge and in your face, but I have had four surgeons tell me to achieve balance with my shoulders, chest and rib cage I need big implants. That is the one thing they all agree on. I asked DH the other day if I really do look THAT bad. I know I am broad but we're talking 550cc implants here (basically 550g each)... I have a choice of course but one can't help but listen to 4 different surgeons who all share the same opinion.

Hi everyone!

I am back home and back to reality!

Lazy day today. The girls didn't wake up until 10am because they are still on Hong Kong time. We need to get groceries today sometime when I can be bothered going out in the rain. There is no trace of edible food in the house!

I know what you mean Nic... I don't bother wasting money on push-ups, the effect isn't really all that attractive glare.gif

I have started using the work gym to get my weight back down, and when I hit my ideal weight I am going to go boob-shopping biggrin.gif

Doesn't reality bite Deanne? laughing2.gif

Work done for another week! Owen is in child care once a week now to give Dad a bit of a break, and he came home today with his face painted like a pirate original.gif He absolutely loves it at 'school'

Hello hello - feels like I've been away but I haven't sad.gif We're all adjusting to my new 3 day working week. Amazing how 1 day can make such a huge difference. Filly has the cold again sad.gif I was pretty crook yesterday but am definitely better today. There's a tummy bug going through school again - aaaargh it's only the first week back!!!

Welcome home Deanne!

Nic - how's it going up there? How long will you stay post-surgery?

Hope everyone's staying snuggly warm in this weather.

I think it gets worse ... while you were away I think we actually fell off page one and were somewhere in the middle of page 2!

.... but even this committed lurker would have saved us from falling off page 2!

Every forum I have ever been in seems to drop off when I go away or decide I need "me time". Anyone would think I was talkative or something... unsure.gif
