Welcome Fiestycat. Im Miranda from the Gold Coast, my Septemberry baby (!) was born on the 7th Sept 05 and starts Prep ( first year of primary = to NSW Kindergarten) on the 24th Jan! Three weeks to go!
I also have a 9.5 year old daughter who will be going into year 5.

New yrs here was a bit of a fizzer really. We went to the local NYE carnival but had only $20 to spend so that was gobbled up in two side show games each. We stayed for the 9pm fireworks, then DH joined us after he'd finished work and we went home and watched the Syd fireworks on telly.

School hols are whizzing by. Zara is staying with cousins who have a property with horses and cattle, so she is a willing jillaroo for a few days. Charlotte is loving having Dh and I to herself and has convinced DH to take her to Movieworld today ( SNAP on the passes Belle! Best holiday fillers!) I meanwhile am at home in the aircon with the boxed set of Vicar of Dibley. Love it!

I tried shoe shopping with C yesterday. Oh boy... the girl has some serious opinion on what constitutes the "perfect" school shoe. I dont think it exists original.gif Nevertheless, we came home with two lovely pairs of summer sandals on sale so the trip wasnt wasted! Round two for school shoes next week.....

Oooh oooh new posts!! ddance.gif

Welcome Fiestycat!! I am Kay, I have a 2 year old and my Septemberry - both boys original.gif

Yep Nate is starting school next year - Kindy in NSW so first year of school (same as SubA in SA Lynny). He doesn't have his Beststart test til the 17th of Feb though - they delay it at his school. I figure it'll be a bit late by then laughing2.gif.

He's very excited as am I. original.gif We got new school shoes the other day. original.gif The school we chose is lovely, really small and friendly and we have been fortunate enough to meet a lovely family through the preschool Nate was at for the last term of this year. The boys get on really well and his mum is just lovely. He is the youngest of three kids so she knows ALL the ins and outs of the school (and loves it) AND they live right opposite the gate and has offered her driveway for parking eexcite.gif .

We had a brilliant Christmas. We've had a truly terrible 8 months or so - which I didn't really share. DH had terrible job issues as his 'new' job really didn't work out sad.gif. Anyway he has (another) new job now and is excited about it. original.gif Best part is he won't have to work overseas away from us for a year which was an option for a while there. sad.gif He will have to go to Perth from time to time but that's all good. original.gif

Christmas Day was almost cancelled as I spent 6 hours in Emergency on Christmas Eve with Leo's finger being infected and horrid - and still didn't see the surgeon.  We thought we'd have to go back on Christmas Day but thank goodness the bit of silicone they put in fell out overnight on Christmas Eve and it was looking better in the morning so Christmas went ahead here and it was a brilliant day. biggrin.gif We had a BBQ with friends on NYE and then people over for a BBQ on New Years Day. Both fabulous days. original.gif

I am really realising how much I love my photography and have decided to dedicate myself to it a bit more this year. original.gif

Well that's it for me - a full round up LOL. I hope everyone is enjoying the holidays. DH is off work for another week but is spending two days (including today) at the cricket!
