We have about 30 cloth face washers that have been going strong for two years so far. I keep a plastic container with some wet washers in it on the change table, then they get tossed into the nappy bucket until wash time (we also use modern cloth pocket nappies). I bought brightly coloured ones (bright bots brand I think) so that they don't get mixed up with ones we use on our faces. My mother in law also cut up some old towels and overlocked the edges so we have plenty of spare ones. As well as being cheap and reusable they are great for very dirty nappy changes because the texture of the cloth helps to get poo off.
My DS has pretty sensitive skin so I avoid using chlorine based wipes.
I find it saves a lot of time to have them pre moistened so that we don't have to run to the tap every time.
Good luck with setting up your wipe station.
Edited for typo.
