No word on the job so assuming it went to someone else. Oh well. I am not upset cause I kind of figured the money would not be as good as I get now for my 3 days a week.

Had a great day out today with my mothers group from when Ethan was born, so nice to see all the kids together again.

Hope you all have a good weekend! We are going to noosa for a 1st birthday :-)

Hi Girls. Haven't been in for a bit..sorry.
Not alot happening here. Just the usual boring old crap.
Thought I'd check in and let you know I'm still alive.

Amanda - you're not over reacting. Men can be selfish and don't stop to think about anything but their own needs. Take the opportunity to relax and watch a few movies with the girls. My girls haven't seen their dad for 22 days straight and it hasn't stopped him going hunting for 4 days.

Its such a lovely day here today.
The weather is perfect. I really detest the heat. So when the temp is around 25 breesy and sunny could one ask for a better day.
About to take the girls to the supermarket to buy some new pencils. Small things....lol. The girls love drawing....only they keep fighting over the pencils..... wish they wouldn't ...anyway ... going to buy them a pencil case each, new pencils and see how we go. They'll fight over the new pencil cases no doubt. Have to laugh otherise I'd be so frustrated. LOL.

I've been feeling so terrific the last few days. Can't wait to get a clearance.

Hows everyone been going??? Life gets so busy once kids get a bit older doesn't it? With everyone back to work and uni etc.

Bec - I hope you hear either way with the job.  I'd say they were a bit shocked when you told them your current salary.

Amanda - forgot to repsond the other day. I'm so happy for your family taking over that business. Definitely when I'm up and running I'd love totalk t othem about soap. In the meantime though, I'm just not quiet set up enough to take on something like that just yet. I'll start selling once the financial year rolls over. Wholesale will be something I'll look at once my retail sales are set up. I certainly wouldn't b offended if in the meantime they found someone else.IYKWIM.
Hows the setting up gonig for you? R u still gonig in with your GF?? Do u have a webbie set up??

Enjoy your Sunday Girls. Hope its a good relaxing one like mine.

Hi gorgeous girls original.gif

I have been so busy. Dan had his surgery on monday and got back on Wed. Work keeps me away so much and then we had a nice family weekend. I am looking forward to these 2 days just catching up on stuff.

Dan has three weeks off work which will be interesting with him home so much... haha.

Gotta go, kids tearing it up.

Sharna geussing the surgery went well.  We have a good friend that had keyhole surgery last week for a hole in his heart and it went wrong and they ended up doing open heart surgery on him, very scary time for his family, but he is home today.

Nat i agree the weather has been much more bearable.  Glad you are feeling so wonderful.  Maybe part of the problem was out of control hormones that now aren't being produced?  I hear you on the fighting.  The boys seem to be fighting over EVERYTHING at the moment.

Bec Pity about the job.  I hope you get some feedback though in case you apply for something else.

AFM  We have had more dramas with the builder and have contacted and retained a builders advocate.  We have sent the builder a letter stating all the things we are unhappy about and asked them what they could do to remedy it and haven't heard anything.  The builders advocate contacted a solicitor for some clarification and the solicitor has just been to court with the same builder (and won) over similar issues so IF we have to go to court - which I truley hope we don't - then it looks like we have a solid case.

Everytime I get stressed at the moment I am having some pretty painful contractions so need to keep relaxed, which is hard with the builder and the terror twins.

DH is home and will be home for Will's party/ birthday.  He is soooooo excited - he keeps telling everyone he is going to be 4 and is having a party.  It is soooooo cute, just melts my heart.

Better run as I am kind of rebuilding my computer.  DH formatted the C drive and I need to reinstall everything, which is taking FOREVER!!!!

Hi everyone!

Mands - oh no, sounds like the stuff with the builder is causing you a lot of stress. I really hope it all gets sorted out soon. Cannot believe Will is almost 4, time flies!

Sharna - how is it going with Dan off work?

Nat - do you have any soap which would be good for eczema ( asking for my dad ) and also anything plain vanilla scent?

Ethan is having a bad few days with TT and wetting so many pairs of undies! Grrrr how annoying!

#34 Fabulous

Posted 29 March 2011 - 11:51 PM

Mands- how stressful for you. Are you with a small or big builder? 4-6 is a lovely age IMO, young enough to still want lots of cuddles but old enough to understand things and have a bit of independence.. Do they have free kindy in Qld for 4 year olds? With schooling every state seems to be different, it really does my head in.

Nat- yes life does get very busy, it's the after school activities that wear me out.

How many of our kids are TT? I know that Tom is but I was just wondering about the others. Jack isn't, I spent 2 days trying to get him to use the potty but he just wasn't ready. Plus our house has carpet everywhere except for wet areas.  wink.gif

Hi lovely ladies!

Bec shame you haven't heard back from them after the interview. They ought to let you know either way though, quite rude if they don't. They may actually still be considering you or putting in writing whether or not you got the job, but don't lose hope just yet.

Brolly sheets: I checked them out on ebay, and like the look of them. I have been wanting to get some toilet training sheets for the boys, so that was very handy finding out what they are called here in Australia. They are almost identical to the Kylie Sheets I used to use at the hospitals and aged care facilities I worked at, very good too, only I can't find anywhere in Australia to buy the Kylies, only in UK. So will probably get a few Brolly sheets on ebay.

I took Tyler to have a follow-up hearing test today after he had the grommets put in almost a month ago, and the test results were perfect!!! I am sooooo happy, and relieved, I have been stressing that all his ear infections and burst ear drums would permanently damage his hearing like it did to me. So the grommets are working really well. He just had a cold and he didn't have ANY problems with his ears whereas he would normally get really sore ears, waking up in the middle of the night crying with the pain so I would have to get a hot pack and panadol etc, that's if his ear drums didn't burst and leak fluid onto his pillow case. I'm so stoked about the grommets!!! Highly recommend them if you kids struggle with their ears like Tyler did!

Mel Microdermabrasion was great! I have always wanted to try it out as I have had issues with break outs and blemishes and still do. It didn't really take away any of the scarring though, so I ALWAYS wear make-up, covers it all up nicely, but I don't really WANT to as it takes time and is a bother. Would rather be alle' naturale' but feel too self-conscious. I am now booked in for IPL Photo Rejuvination treatment which will take away all the scarring. It's normally priced at $385, but I got in for a 1/2 price post summer special! Looking forward to it!!!

Annika- that's awesome that Tyler's test results were fantastic. How wonderful that he's not getting any pain when he gets a cold.

I got my 2 brolly sheets in the mail yesterday and they are on Chelsea's bed right now. I paid $32 each at Darlings Downunder, postage was only $6 and I was lucky because they upgraded it to express.

Ros - thanks for the tip, I got the Brolly sheets today with the Nappy Discount Code but they were still $36 each ( so $79 with post ).  Hope they are good  tongue.gif  I got white so we can use them for both kids!  Ethan is going ok with his TT and only wears a nappy to bed at night time, he is having a bad week though and wetting so many pairs of undies  wacko.gif He seems to drink so much water and think that might be causing him to wee heaps.

Annika - that is awsome news about Tylers ear results.

#38 Fabulous

Posted 30 March 2011 - 01:11 PM

Bec- for some reason the red and white brolly sheets were discounted down an extra 5% the day that I bought them, maybe a computer glitch or something but the next day they were normal price again. Chelsea woke up dry this morning so she didn't 'test' them for me. I wish I could let Jack go nudey. Stupid damn carpet.

#39 bec8112

Posted 30 March 2011 - 01:30 PM

Ros - our house is all tiles apart from the kids bedrooms which is crappy old carpet. We are going to replace the carpet soon though so when Hannah needs to TT she will have to stay in the rest of the house!  tongue.gif

Yay on the all clear Annika with Tylers ears. That must be a big relief for you.

TT... hmmm..... were getting there. Charlee would have to be my most difficult one. She'll go really good and I let her go in knickers then out of the blue she'll be sitting on the leather lounge or something and pee..... blink.gif  blink.gif  blink.gif
She's a private pooer too and my god!! I've NEVER had a pants pooer before wacko.gif  wacko.gif  wacko.gif ..... its killing me. She hasn't been poo in the potty one goddam time!!
Any advice for a 3rd time round mummy would be helpful as I feel like a pretty good failure ATM with TT..... blush.gif  blush.gif  blush.gif  LMAO!!!

Oh man, I feel bad that I haven't been in writing much but my head is spinning so much with Uni.  I've hit week 5 stress out!  I've got two assignments due next week and then two BioScience exams the following week.   ffear.gif

I've been reading on my iphone, but it's a PITA to type on that thing so I haven't been saying much.

Nat - Please don't feel like a failure.  We just got lucky with Tom.  It was totally nothing we "did".  No magic parenting that's for sure!!!  And out of the bubba's in my mothers group (6 of them) only 2 are toilet trained.  So it's not abnormal at all.

I've got to go, need to study and I have a whinging child who won't go to sleep  rant.gif

Mel - hope Tom settled easy for you and you got some study done. How is the assignment and test prep going?

Nat - do not feel like a failure, all kids are different.  Ethan is still not 100% TT. Ethan likes to poo in the toilet cause he can hear it 'plop' in the water  laugh.gif . Did you see my question a few days ago about soap?

We tried Hannah on some wheat again on the weekend and she had gross poo's and then got a sore red bum  sad.gif Going to have to go to the GP I think and see what they say.

We got approval to buy a new ( well used ) car yesterday  biggrin.gif We are going to look for a Ford Territory I think, then Dave is having my old car and we are getting rid of his little s*%t box that he drives to work.  I cannot wait to have an automatic car as driving in bad traffic to work is no fun in a manual and I get a sore foot!

Sharna - how much does Aidan weigh now? Do you know? I have not weighed Hannah in awhile so think I might take her  tongue.gif

Amanda - have fun away this weekend, I think that is what I read on FB.

Mands - how are you going? How long to go now? Where are your latest belly shots, hint hint!

Hi to anyone I have missed.

Bec - Sorry I mean't to answer the other day. My soap stocks are really low ATM due to me not soaping much since before xmas really. I don't have any vanilla soap sorry. I will be making some soon but just none there ATM. As for your Dads exma. I'm guessing he'll just have to give the soap a try and see if it flares it up. Alot of people claim all natural handmade soap to be great for exma. Clearly if it irritates it he should stop using it...lol. Best that he use the unscented types. Like the honey, oatmeal milk and honey and I have a rose geranium and almondmeal one there too that might b ok. Did you want me to post a couple down for him??? Even the teatree salt bar.
Let me know and I'll pack it up over the weekend for you.

Edited to say, when I mean unscented i meant with fragrance oil. Essential oils should be ok which is what is in the soaps I mentioned.

TT: We haven't really been trying it with Bryce yet. House is mostly carpeted, so have had several nasty accidents so far yuck.gif  He did do a poo in the toilet just last night though for the first time ever!!! I gave him soooo much praise for it, so hopefully he'll get inspired...

Sorry, just a quick one from me as I am packing for our family weekend away, leaving this afternoon and picking Tyler up from school on our way. So better keep going. Take care ladies and hope you will all have a great weekend!!

Mands - my GP is away until the 18th of April so think I will have to wait until that or might see my old GP before then. Hopefully the contractions mean you might have bub soon  happy.gif

What is with these strange emoticons????

Gorgeous girls!!
Hope everyone is well.
Pretty much everyday norm going on here.
Made an amazing soap today. So happy to b able to soap again.
It has a wonderful list of ingredients. Honey, carrot, shea butter, calendula, a big handful of wild peace silk, lavender and orange oil. It smells devine!! I think it might b my best soap to date. I cannot wait to use it.
Hope everyone isn't too bogged down with work and family.

Mands - you must be getting so close to your DD. I hope the house is coming along nicely for you. Last I read you were having a few legal issues. Building can be very testing.

Take care.

Hi girls

Sorry for being so slack.. I had a fantastic weekend!! Dh and I went down the coast to watch Nitro Circus (crazy motorbike stunt show) and it was awesome!!!! We stayed at Jupiters casino cause I have never been there and caught the bus over a Pac fair to Skilled Park.. Some of dh's mates were also there had hired a stretch Hummer to take them there and back and they gave us a lift back to the casino.. It was awesome!! Bar the fact that I was the only girls with 10 guys all in there early 20's haha.. Was interesting to say the least lol.. anyway when we got back to the casino about 8.30 we got changed and headed down to the casino.. I loved it.. I had never played on any of the tables before so gave blackjack a go.. Next thing I know I look at the clock and its 11.30 lol.. We finally got back to the room about 1am and I ordered room service... a chocolate fondant with whit choc something or rather lol.. It was delish.. Woke up the next morning and drove home.. Was awesome to get away and do adult things (casino) for a change..

Hope you are all great.. Horrible weather here at the moment.. Winter is definately on its way..

So what does everyone have planned for easter? we arnt doing anything special.. Thinking of going camping the long weekend in may down to Yamba.
