Yay! first gold for ages! Maybe since before Immy!
Boo M4S got there before me while I was typing, no one was on when I got in, shouldn't have typed the story!

Arg so annoyed, had a huge post on Friday, thought I posted it, but it's not on the group! sad.gif

Have to go and write it again.

Had a scare this morning, Immy slipped off the change table, and fell onto the ground, but got straight up to crawl away (I'm thinking OK...so she hasn't broken any limbs...) , had a cry for about 1-2 mins and then all good! Good way to scare me!  ohmy.gif

Bronze biggrin.gif

Bec - DH allowed Paige to drop from or hip height change table a month or so ago. All fine here too, just a bit of a short cry. Scary thing though huh?

AVA ddance.gif

Hope you both have a fun day

bec That certainly gives you a fright doesn't it? Lucky these bubbas are quite flexible still. I probably got more of a scare about how quickly she got to the floor??
We have a strap on our table and I have to put that on Taj just for the wriggle factor otherwise he will be turned and up quicker than I can breathe rolleyes.gif

Skip Oh poor P, breaking glass is a horrible sound especially when your child is in front of it! Did you get the window fixed quick? Too darn cold for natures air con right now wink.gif
dd2 was playing around at the dinner table about 3 years ago (??) and she managed to tip her chair backwards (while she was still on it) and the back of the chair slammed into the window and all we heard was the shatter of glass ohmy.gif Luckily the curtain was closed however i really don't know how her head didn't hit the window sill or anything

RD How are you traveling? Where are you up to with your health?

Sorry just a quick one as I really must go and mop while Taj is asleep, oh went back to the Dr this morning and he is all good now and can stop ab's, woohoo!!!

ETA I have made a 'secure' wink.gif play area for Taj for when I'm doing things that don't require little hands, like cleaning the cat litter sick.gif and the toilet, I put the porta cot up and put in those balls for ball pits and because we had parties here we have some balloons as well, he loves it especially the part where he throws the balls out over the edge one by one glare.gif , funny to watch though and the girls think its a great game tthumbs.gif

Happy Birthday Rani!! Haven't seen Jyles in here in a while..

Paige finally had her second go at childcare today. All good again, so next week (providing she is better) will be her first full day!!

Have had Freya home from kinder the last two days, she is quite sick. So sick that even when I told her she couldn't go to kinder, she agreed (normally the reaction would be instant tears). Took her to the doc today, but not even antibiotics. Thinking this must be a silent hurter, as she is really knocked around by it, but it doesn't appear that bad (just like Paigey last week). So...have them both down for a nap right now!!! OMG!!!! I just want her better for Saturday so she can enjoy P's little party, she's so been looking forward to it.

(still really love her name wub.gif )

skip Oh poor Freya, hope she starts to perk up soon and hope she has a good rest, get some more of those in wink.gif
I had dd3 home from kinder last Thursday with a bad cold, though the Dr said she was all clear, anyway she told dh on the Wednesday night that she didn't want to go to kinder the next day huh.gif , as you say very unusual.
Also she was that FERAL Tuesday night I told her to have a sleep yesterday arvo, I had to wake her at 5.30pm as she had been in bed since 2.30!!! oomg.gif

bec I was thinking of taking the porta cot outside (when it's nice weather rolleyes.gif ) to put Taj in while I do some gardening, it's looking pretty ratty in our garden and I still haven't pruned our roses.

Frey still sick. She didn't actually sleep yesterday, but stayed quietly in bed for 45 mins so that was still great! hehehe

Lex: Techno ignoramus here...is that a laptop??

All organised for tomorrows celebration, am actually looking forward to decorating the cake tonight!! My only concern is how my sister is going to act tomorrow. So hope she behaves herself.

YAY my baby is nearly officially not a baby anymore!! So excited biggrin.gif

roll2.gif  roll2.gif ohhh sorry but that made me  roll2.gif roll2.gif

Just cause I'm "in IT"  grin.gif

Very nice suppliiiieesss Lex... although having worked with both I am so firmly in the other camp  ph34r.gif.  Actually it's more because I don't want to be told what to think and that's what Apple does.... aaaaaaanyway!!!  DH has an air and I erm, well, kinda broke it  blush.gif

Happy Birthday Sam!  Hope you are well RD... I see you round the boards now and then (when I decide I have no life and bury my head in EB for a few days on end  ph34r.gif )

Happy Birthday Sophie!  waves.gif Slippers!

And for tomorrow Paigey-Waigey!!!  YAY!  Well done Lou, you made it through the year!  Have a fabbo party tomorrow!!  Kick your sister to the curb at the first sign of trouble!

Essy would really love to hear from you right about now!!

Aaah AFUS we are sleeping again, I THINK!  It took a long time, but she wasn't ready to drop to one sleep so I just had to work at finding out WHEN she needed the sleeps to get through the day, and at what times she was actually going to sleep as opposed to stuffing around!!

We also had a trip to the doctor after our health nurse (bless her ever-loving attention-to-detail-giving heart) noticed that E's thigh and buttock folds were uneven (so possible developmental hip displacement).  Uhh, as the doctor so politely put it, she has that much skin on her thighs it's a little hard to NOT fold in several places laughing2.gif but she's fine, and at least we're not left wondering. We had our 12 month needles and all that stuff and everything seems to have gone OK!  My little trooper!

Other than that I am off to have my first Day Spa treatment in over 14 months tomorrow!  eexcite.gif Aaaahhh I am blissed out at just the thought of it!!!!!!  Can't WAIT!!  They have this gorgeous waiting lounge where you are supposed to arrive early and sit and calm down and it is sooo nice, and I figure that bit's for free so I'm going to arrive rrreeeaaallllyy early for my treatment!!  grin.gif

Well, my monkey's awake and I need to make a trip to the fruit and vegie shop so I'd best run.

Oh! That's what I wanted to ask... I need ideas again for feeding this kidlet, so what are you giving these toddlers now?  Are sandwiches on the menu?  I did the coolest thing by pureeing chicken and turning it into a spread, and did it with avocado on rye for E and she gobbled it up!  So throw me some ideas y'all!!  I'm worried I'm boring her with the same stuff all the time and that I'll develop myself a picky eater!!  nno2.gif

Hi!  waves.gif Sorry, have been AWOL what with the trip to the UK and then being ridiculously busy at work since we got back and dealing with Elowen's jet lag. She is waking up every night for a good 2-3 hours, around midnight, wide awake and ready to start the day. BAWLS if she's left in the cot (seriously - cried non stop for two hours, working herself up into a hyperventilating state), cries when we try to rock her back to sleep, just wants to play. Have tried giving her toys in her cot and having the light on low but she doesn't tire herself out and go to sleep, she just keeps playing... It would be easier if I wasn't at work and she wasn't in day care but I have to say I'm shattered! She took a week to adjust when we got to the UK but this is a nightmare  sad.gif

DH is taking her to the GP this morning for her menC vaccination (she had the other two for the 12 month immunisations before we left) so is going to ask her about vallergan or magnesium, both of which have been recommended by other friends. Any recommendations from you all??

We had a fantastic time though. Elowen travelled really well (slept 6 hours each leg on the way over, then 10 hours Ldn - Singapore, and then 2 1/2 hours on the Singapore - Sydney leg on the way back. It was fantastic to see friends and family... the weather was awesome... the shopping was fabulous (what I could do; was much easier when I could leave E with DH and do some power shopping, but needed a whole dedicated day ort wo, not just a few hours!). We do think we've made the right decision to come to Australia though. And we got an estimation on our flat's value that was way beyond our wildest dreams - 1.5 times our current mortgage on top of the mortgage value, if that makes sense! So, now we need to work out what to do. If we remortgage to take equity out, we need to remortgage in Australia as we are residents here now, but we are only paying 1.2% interest in the UK and I don't want to pay 7+% on a place we're not living in. But then we ened to look at the tax implications of selling, in both countries. We would really need to sell there to buy here, so there's a lot to think about!!

Have enjoyed seeing baby birthday celebrations on facebook! We must put Elowen's first birthday celebrations up too (proper photos, not my blurry iPhone ones!) HAPPY BIRTHDAY to all our little bundles of joy!

RD good luck on the train and with the specialist XXXX
