Silver!

Good luck DTR - I look forward to hearing your update.

AFU - DP is starting to bloat following the recent injections - had a really emotional day on Wednesday which she never does poor darlin'. She is doing good though, continuing with her exercise (walking) and being positive.

Good luck to all.

Bronze - two in one topic - I'm on fire.

Mitch good to hear from you. I hope that DP is ok. I hope this cycle goes well for you both, am thinking of you.

AFM, I am still shockingly sick, but am off to see FS at the Hospital tomorrow morning (7.30am) and if they think I'm ok then they will go ahead with the transfer later that morning.

I am in two minds given how dreadful I still feel but am hopefully for a recovery tomorrow morning.

I will update again tomorrow!

Update again.

Went back to the hospital this morning after a shocker of a night. Ended up with a temperature of 39 degrees.

We have two embryos now, one at 6 cells and one at 5 cells. At this stage they normally say between 6 and 10 is good, so we are borderline.

They decided not to go ahead with the transfer given how sick I am still am, which I completely agree with. They are going to reassess me on Monday.

I am off the GP in an hour so hopefully they will be able to give me some medicine to stop this gastro which I've now had for 7 days. Am completely over it and want to get better.

How is everyone else?

Hey DTR - just wondering how you're faring today. Any update on when your transfer will be? Good luck.

AFU - started the Cetricide injections last night - poor DP, is starting to resemble a pin cushion. We have a scan on Wednesday morning first thing so hopefully we'll see a few decent eggs in there!

Good luck all.

Hey Mitch and hopefully anyone else who decides to join the two of us in here!

I am now PUPO!

I got my transfer this morning!  It was a compacted morula, so not exactly a blastocyst but they were still happy with it.  It actually got stuck in the tube the first time they did the transfer so they had to get the specialist back to do it again and he said that is a good sign because it means they are extra sticky! I hope they are right.

Our other one is also going along still but only at 10 cells on day 5, so not expecting it to do much more, but it's putting up a good little fight to make it to freezing for us. Time will tell.

All the best for Wednesday, I hope you get some brilliant numbers.

Thinking of you both.

Thanks for the wellwishes everyone!

Libra good to hear from you and you too Liltuss, how are you going?

Blood test is 7 Oct but we are telling family it's 8 Oct to ease the pressure on us and so we have time for it to sink in either way.

2WW - only 11 sleeps to go so it makes it seem a little easier.

Hi there, I'm hoping it might be OK to join you in this BG? I've just had my BT for 7th stim cycle, and it was a BFN.

FS appt is on Friday to plan the next steps. I'm not done yet, but I do wonder how much longer I can keep at it.

Bit about me, I'm 39 and doing IVF solo using donor sperm. Severe endometriosis means I would have needed to go down the IVF road anyway; both tubes are cactus. I also have low ovarian reserve, but I've found DHEA really helps boost the numbers (have ranged from 1 egg to 8 eggs per cycle).

Cycles 1 through 6, I didn't ever achieve anything to freeze. On my 7th go, I was very pleasantly surprised that I managed to get an embryo to expanding blastocyst and tucked into the freezer.

My preference is to kick off another stim cycle while I'm still producing eggs, and leave my little frostie as backup. Not sure if they'll let me do that, though.

I've been lurking in this BG for a long time, and was very happy to see Librablonde's recent BFP and seeing the heartbeat - fantastic news. DTR, I have everything crossed for you this cycle. Mitchp - great news about the follicle count, and I hope all goes well at EPU for you and your DP.

Indigo Hi and I am glad to see you here. I honestly didn't know you were doing this solo, but my hat goes off to you as it is not easy at any time.
Mitchp fingers crossed for a great epu. It is so exciting, I always get excited.
Dreamstor, ahhhh the dreaded 2ww. That I find is the hardest of all to deal with. I have done way too many of the darn thing and get worse at it everytime.
Libra, how is everything else going with you?
To everyone else hello. afm I am now day 4 so all set to go ahead with an fet this month. Am somewhat mellow about it all, which is probably very calming for me and a good thing. Will be transfering 2 assisted hatched day 3 embryos and hoping that they will be the ones. Have already booked a week off with dh as he will have to hold the fort without me so I can just have some well deserved rest. We are so busy, exhaustion has set in and I am in need of some time out. Just going to spend it at home after transfer realxing and plodding around. Might even clean out some cupboards. Figured it will be as good a time as any to do the spring cleaning.

Hi everyone

I was just checking up on everyone and thought I would say hi to Indigo.  I'm a grad of this group, and also am a single woman (39) who was able to conceive with donor sperm, so I wanted to say hi and wish you the best of luck.  FWIW my clinic let me do back to back stim cycles, rather than go staight to an FET.   They also let me do a freeze-all cycle while I was on an extended "break" due to surgery.   So you may as well ask them.

Hope this is a good week for everyone.

xxM

Hey all and thanks for your wishes. I got the numbers wrong yesterday - I'm a worry! There are 9 follicles, but the nurse reckons 6 will be ok for fertilisation (fingers crossed).

If this is the case we are thinking of transferring 2 freshies on Monday.

Welcome Indigo and very best wishes to everybody for this cycle / 2ww original.gif

Good morning everyone!

Libra - great to hear from you!

Indigo - welcome to our group. I truly admire anyone that can do this journey solo. My hats off to you ladies as it is a truly remarkable feet. I don't believe I would be able to do it and Indigo I sincerely wish you all the best and hope you get your little miracle soon as well.

Halby - hi to you as well.  Hope you are doing well.  Can you please excuse my ignorance but what is assisted hatching? I've heard the term, but do not know what it means. All the best for your fet and I hope you enjoy your weekend off with DH and get to all that spring cleaning.

Meggs - I hope you are going well and life is wonderful for you.

Mitch - 9 follicles is still great as are 6 eggs, wishing you all the very best for tomorrow and I hope that they are all mature and fertilise for you.

AFM, no surprises, but we didn't get any to freeze this cycle either, If we get a BFN I'm going to go and see FS and discuss what else we can do.  Not sure but maybe it's my egg quality? I seem to be able to grow them ok but then the are no good in the outside world. Hopefully he can shed some light or give us some ideas as to what we can do to improve this. I'm sick of only having 1 at the end and pinning all our hopes on it.  It's a stress we don't need.

Anyway, I best get back to work.

Have a lovely day all and if any of you are in Melbourne, I hope you didn't get washed away in the thunderstorm last night - it was a shocker. I clearly wasn't having a good day and wore sandals to work and then had to walk through a flooded Collins and King Streets in the city to get to the train station and the water was up past my ankles and  was a soggy cold angry mess when I got home!  To top it off  now have a sore throat....  ddown.gif

Thanks all for the lovely welcome!

Mitchp, I hope EPU went well today and your DP is recovering well. Sending good fertilization vibes your way.

DTR, hope you are traveling ok in your 2ww. So sorry there was nothing to freeze.

Meggs, thanks very much for letting me know about options to leave embryos tucked away and press on with another stim. I think you found your 8th transfer to be the lucky one? From memory, so did senecio and puddycat, so I'm hoping #8 will be my lucky time too!

Is anyone stimming at the moment? Halby, you're doing a FET this time? I had my appt this am and got the green light to stim again, and started jabbing tonight.

Feeling a bit numb about it all, really. Hard to get excited at this stage. My beautiful cat died unexpectedly almost 3weeks ago and I'm still struggling. He was fantastic company and support and I miss him. He was only 7 and hadn't been unwell, just died and have no idea why. I'm fine while busy at work but then reality of him not being around anymore hits when I get home. I know it takes time, so just taking it day by day. Some people would think it's crazy, he was "only" a cat, but he was family and I loved him.

Sorry, don't mean to be a downer!

Hi all

Just wanted to pop in and say hi and thing I am out of this cycle as well.  I definitely feel like my period is coming and last night when I used "crinone" it was all pink and stuff, like it has been every other time when I've got my period.

cry1.gif

I know that I've not got my period yet so there is a chance, but I'm pretty convinced, I know my body pretty well.

Please please please prove me wrong.

hands.gif

Mitch, any news on how DP went yesterday?  Fingers crossed.

Indigo, hope you are doing ok.

Hi to everyone else xo

Oh no, DTR! I've got my fingers crossed for you that AF stays away. FWIW, I also had pink gunge on the tip of the Crinone applicator. So hopefully it's not over yet. xoxoxo

Well and truly all over. I am numb. We are at a friend's watching the grand final and I'm trying to smile but all I want to do is cry. I am devastated.

I hate this.
