Cheap wine and a three legged goat - cheap wine and three day growth

We're going to eat pizza - We're going to ibiza

Cut a chicken with it - Get jiggy wit it

Tears in my eyes as I read some of these.

Can't believe no one has mentioned "Alex the Seal" (Our lips are sealed).

My mis-heard on "Blue la ba di" was, "I'm blue, if that was me I would die"

My daughter said to me just the other day, "but potatoes can't hop!" and a few seconds later I realised she's been mis-hearing the Wiggles all along!

I heard a cover of "Bad Moon on the Rise" and I swear it sounded like "There's a Bathroom on the Right".

OMG!!! Me too and I still sing that now, even though I know that can't be the right words.

So what are the correct words?

DP is shocking with lyrics. I will have assorted songs playing in the car and he comes up with some great ones, but I can't think of them off the top of my head, but nearly every week I burst out laughing at him.

There used to be a song that was ALWAYS on in Coles when I was younger..I think the lyrics really were "Search for the hero inside yourself" but my brother used to think it was "Search for the hero in hyperspace"

Surprised no one has mentioned "Long way to the shop if you want a sausage roll" It usually always comes us early

It's "Don't go out tonight, It's bound to take your life. There's a bad moon on the rise".

Kiss This Guy - an archive of misheard song lyrics  biggrin.gif

One I can think of for me is Canned Heat by Jamiroquai:

"Got canned heat in my heels tonight, baby"

I would always sing,

"Got candy in my heels tonight, Big Ben." Not sure what I thought that was all about!

I also defy anyone to know the correct lyrics to REM's The Sidewinder Sleeps Tonight.. I swear it's "Call-a me Jamaica, call-a me Jamaicaaaa"

My very conservative friend used to like that Bloodhound Gang song, 'The Roof is on Fire', and would sing at the top of her voice, "Burn, Mother Hubbard, BURN!" If she only knew it was mother****er, she would have been horrified.
