Hey all

Libra - so sorry about this turn of events for you. Sending you huge hugs and love during this hard time.

Spring - good luck in Hawaii - keep us all posted.

Liltuss and Spock - thanks for your wishes and words.

AFU - we have our first scan tomorrow so EPU will be sometime next week, potentially Anzac Day which will be good to not have to have a day off work with a certificate. DP is now feeling really tender and sore around her abdomen so as of tonight, no more full exercise for her until after transfer when she'll go to 'light duties' original.gif

Good luck all x

Hi ladies,

Liltuss- I can't imagine how others are feeling, but I'm happy when you pop back in. You know when someone wins Lotto and so people flock to the newsagency that person bought the winning ticket from? You're like that for me  biggrin.gif  It's great to know one of us has finally struck it lucky original.gif

Mitchp- good luck with the EPU, I really hope it goes well for you both. You and Spring08 will be 2WW'ing together. Big hugs to you xoxo

Spring- well, the wheels are in motion now and it all sounds really exciting. I've got everything crossed for you, hon.

Spock- yay for bread!  biggrin.gif  I always seems to become obsessed with watching high-fat/ high carb yummy recipes on YouTube when I'm on a low carb, low gluten diet..... Yep, it's porn for me. It's ridiculous how many recipes I have Bookmarked right now on my computer LOL.

AFM- well, I moped and grumped and watched food porn until almost midnight last night and feel better today for it. Tired but a bit happier and resolved to what is coming and what my plans are. Had a good talk with my DP about it all last night and the heavy emotional toll my m/c had on her, and her worries for future pregnancies. It was good to hear it all and reflect on it.

Hey all, just a quick update from us.

DP is due for EPU next Tuesday 24 April, and transfer the following Friday.

They can see 9 eggs in her scan this morning, but obviously unsure how many will actually mature and then fertilise prior to transfer.

If a few, we are considering transferring 2 freshies and doing a dose of pregnyl!

What are your thoughts?

Good luck all x

Hi Mitchp,
well, I know everyone is different, but for me Pregnyl is a winner. For my last 2 transfers (and these are the only 2 times I've actually had BFP), I used Pregnyl as both a trigger and luteal phase support. I had a trigger of either 5000 or 10000 units of Pregnyl (can't remember how much) and then Pregnyl on days 3,6, and 9 from memory.

I'm also an advocate for transferring 2 freshies if that's what you feel you need (although I've never done it b/c I've not had many embies). Now that I'm 40 I'd do DET's if my health and circumstances allowed. I know others will very strongly disagree with me, though. I think that once you're a long hauler, it's unfair for others to pass judgements on your decisions.

Thanks Libra for your supportive words. Ultimately it is DPs choice, and she wishes to have 2 freshies transferred if we get a few (unsure how many) in the pick up, and then fertilised.

So we'll see. I never used Pregnyl myself, and DP has used it once but is happy to try it again even though it gave her a negative result last time.

Again, thank you x

Hi All!

Just popping in quickly to let you know I'm lurking and reading and thinking of you all!

Mitch - sounds like you (well your DP's) cycle is progressing well.

Libra - no words will help, so I'll send you a big hug

Spring - enjoy (as much as you can!) your trip to Hawaii - take time out with dH to relax too.

Hi to everyone else! Sorry I can't do more personals - in on my phone and it's hard! :-). I'll steal the iPad off DH at some point and get back!

We are having a ball! Spent the last 2 weeks in Spain, we're in portugal for 5 days now then off to France for 2 and a bit weeks! Can feel myself getting fatter by the day because everything we do is based around food and/or wine!!! Too much of everythig - but it's so good to just "be" with DH.  I feel like a different person here - like our life at home is a bad dream....  If only! But hey, this is reality for another 3 weeks - ill take that!

I've got photos etc up on Facebook - PM me if you want to find me there :-)

And the biggest idiots award goes to DP and myself....

Last night, clock watching, waiting till 8:15pm for trigger injection! Then at 8:45pm my DP jumps up with a lot of swearing.... you guessed it, we missed the trigger injection time. First time in 6 years! How in heck does that happen???

So after a very restless night sleep for both of us, I spoke with an IVF clinic nurse this morning and she assures me it's all ok, it just means DP won't be first for the pick up tomorrow!

So hopefully we'll both stop stressing now!

Good luck all xx

hi all,

mitchp, can imagine you and your DP being a bit panicky last night. Glad it's all fine. Fingers crossed for some great quality eggs tomorrow.  I'd tfr 2 also at this stage. I think we moved onto double tfrs after ~5-6 goes. Yes there's a chance of twins but there's a bit better chance of a BFP also.  I've used pregnyl also. While it hasn't worked for me yet I don't recall any ill affects from it - and it's 1 jab every 3 days. Can't hurt!

BJBubbles glad you could tear yourself away from sight-seeing and eating awesome food to check in! So you'll be switching from tapas and sangria to great wine, cheese and croissants!!  It sounds amazing and so glad you feel rejuvenated.

libra, glad you are feeling a bit better. I know the next couple of weeks will be very tough on you - hang in there.

hi to everyone else - hope you're having a good week

Hi ladies,

Mitchp- I did the same thing for my last EPU. I was so used to having my injections at certain time of the evening, that the night of the trigger I forgot I needed to do it at a different time. I had my trigger an hour too early! Eeeek! I freaked out, burst into an ugly cry and poor DP was at her wit's end as to how to deal with it all. The clinic were fine and just changed my EPU time around to 7am so we didn't miss ovulation. We missed one egg b/c it had already started down the fallopian tube, but got another 3 so it was ok. I'm sure your DP will be fine, Mitch. Hang in there xoxo

BJB- you sound like you're having a ball. I'm so glad you're getting such a great break. Have a drink for me original.gif

Spring08- it's almost time to jet off to Hawaii. How exciting, I really hope it all goes well xoxox

A big hi to everyone else  waves.gif

AFM- I'm just busy trying to melt away those last 2.5 kgs before my operation in 2 weeks. Am also busy getting my house ready for the bank's valuation and putting in an offer on another house. Life feels so chaotic right now, but it's coming together.

Hi ladies,
Mitchp, oh that must have given you both a fright. Good to hear all the clinic has to do is move the egg collection list around a little. Goodluck! Hope you get some beautiful eggs and your dp gets through egg collection all A okay. I'm sorry I can't help with the pregnyl as I've never used this. I too would transfer 2. Once you get into this group I think 2 is reasonable unless your fs can give you a reason not to (excluding the twins risk).
Bjb, you sound really happy and free. It's nice to have a different reality for a change. Enjoy all the wining and dining while you're away. I know I did last year when I was in France.
Libra, how do u manage to juggle so much? Goodluck with the house and new house plus getting geared up for your operation. You must be looking forward to getting this next step over with.
Spring, I'm starting to get excited for you. Enjoy the outlet shopping, there is a great maternity shop there called Motherhood Maternity, so much cheaper stuff than here and not bad quality. You'll have to keep us posted when you are in Hawaii. I hope this is the one for you!
Hi everyone else. I'm the same. I'm seeing the cardiologist on Friday but think that should be fine. I'm hardly at work till mid may as I'm at a conference next week then I'm barely back before dh and I are of to Perth for a short family holiday. Nice to have a little break. Also this Friday is our 10 year wedding anniversary so I have something's to smile about for a change.

Hey all, I've been lurking and thinking of you all. Stay strong x

Quick update, DP got 5 eggs in the EPU yesterday and recovered well. Today found out that 4 fertilized good enough to transfer so we're thrilled. We'll be transferring two freshies on Friday but won't be using the Pregnyl as they tell us it's in the 'squirty' things she has two use twice daily.

Good luck all x

great news mitchp - fingers crossed you and your DP. Sending you good wishes for the 2WW - I'll be watching and hoping for some good news!

Hi libra, spock, bjbubbles, zoe, liltuss and everyone else in here - hope you are all doing ok.  (BJB, I'm sure you're more than ok in France!)

Flying out tonight - it's still very strange thinking of it as a "holiday" but I'm sure once there we will relax a lot.

looking forward to some sun, shopping, some waves and hopefully coming back some good embies on board!

take care all xx

Spring08- good luck, hon! I've got fingers crossed for you. I hope Hawaii turns out to be wonderful for you xox
Mitchp- whoo hoo! 2WW is on and I really, really hope all goes well. Hang in there.
Liltuss- so good to hear from you. I hope all is cracking along at your end.
Spock- I hope you had a lovely wedding anniversary and the cardiologist gave you good news.

AFM-I have 1.5 weeks to go until I finish my 3 months of Synarel and have my operation. Bought nice new jammies for hospital and finally finished painting and re-carpeting the house. All is organised for my 4 days in hospital. I'm actually looking forward to it, in a twisted kind of way. My friend is going to the UK next week, so on Tuesday we're having a grown-up tea party with our friends to celebrate her saying goodbye for a while, and for me saying goodbye to my diabolical fibroid grin.gif

Hi libra,

Just popping in from over 40s to wish you all the best with the myomectomy. Mine was also pretty diabolical (15cm) and all I can say is that getting that sucker removed was the single best thing I have ever done for myself. I really hope it improves things for you on the TTC front.

Aww Ellie, thanks for that original.gif I really can't wait to put the whole Fibroid Drama behind me and it'll give me some closure to the m/c. And my DP is hanging out for me to be off Synarel and not such a hormonal lunatic  wink.gif  Tonight I'm baking cinnamon scrolls in preparation for tomorrow's farewell tea-party. If only life could be as easy as swanning around my kitchen, caressing my KA as I bake, bake, bake and hum happily to myself. Tonight I will work towards that goal......    original.gif

Mitchp and Spring08- you guys are in my thoughts. I hope things are going well at your end.

A big hi to everyone else  waves.gif

hi ladies, I'm back from my work conference. For those of you in Melbourne, I can't believe how cold it is already there!

libra, you sound very ready to get this op over with so you can move on. hope your tea party was lovely and swish, very grown up. Hoping you have a smooth op and fast recovery. New pj's are always a nice treat.

mitchp, sounds promising!! hope those 2 embies are nestling away  happy.gif

spring, you are probably in Hawaii by now. hope you are managing to find some relaxing things to take your mind of why you are actually there. Hoping you come back to Australia with a couple of good embies on board as you say.

zoelicious, heaven't heard from you since your last transfer. I know you must have been really disappointed. Hoping you're doing okay.

hi anyone else popping in. afm all went well at the cardiologist so at least one part of my body is doing the right thing. looks like i need to see a gastrointestinal specialist next if this chest pain (most likely my oesophagus) doesn't go away. i have been busy with my work conference, my house renovations. Seeing the Asherman's specialist on Tuesday which I'm a touch nervous about. As long as he thinks my lining is all okay then I'm good to go. Well at least I can start exercising now.

Ok, - quick update, any responses you can give, I'd appreciate.

DP's AF is due next Wednesday, 9 May and BT 11 May as I've stated previously.

Today she is noticing 'hard, old, crusty blood' (sorry, TMI) that is coming out with a little bit of Crinone. Is that normal? Could it be implantation bleeding or am I getting excited over nothing???

Thanks girls - and baby dust to all xxx

#70 librablonde

Posted 03 May 2012 - 11:25 AM

Mitchp- I'm on the run so will be brief. I've used Crinone for both EPU's and always get brown cacky yuck coming out on the tip of the applicator once I'd been using the cream for a few days. It's old blood mixed with the Crinone. I think it's just left over from the EPU when it happens to me. Don't fret about it, it's normal original.gif I'm so crossing my fingers for you guys!!!!!  xoxox

#71 mitchp

Posted 04 May 2012 - 08:35 AM

Thanks Libra - sounds like I'm possibly getting positive/excited potentially over something that's normal. Oh well, will still have the positive vibes for my girl:) Thanks for your quick response.

Good luck all with your journeys x

Mitchp- oh no! Maybe I didn't word my post properly b/c I was rushing, I didn't meant to shoot down your hope!!! It probably IS a really good sign for you both, I was just responding about my experience. Keep the faith, girl, I know it'll happen for you two one day soon. I'm so sorry if I inadvertently gave you a kick in the gut. Crap!  ddoh.gif

#73 mitchp

It's all good Libra x

I'm gutted today though - DP announced she can feel AF coming, so here we go again. All for nothing. As well as that, I lost out to a new job I really wanted which was potentially a different direction for me and better money to help support if and when we become a single income family. Then get to work today and lose part of my job to the new guy to take over the management of so I can get more 'pleb' type jobs.

Great. Just kill me now.

Good luck to others x
