I am 10w4d along & this feeling like I am going to vomit all day is getting worse & driving me insane. Nothing seems to be working except sleep, and thats all i CBF doing. Right now all I want to do is go on holidays from work for 2 weeks. not getting anything done anyways, cant concentrate.....

I had my NT scan today, everything seems fine, but I will have to wait until dr's appointment next week to get results. I'm not worried though, the man doing the Ultrasound said the neck measurement is thin, so we'll see. Bubby was moving around, kicking and wiggling, which was great to see. And I got another photo to show people.... and it is soooo cute

wannabamumma-I wish I could give you a magic piece of advice, but there just isnt one. Hope you feel better soon
I had my scan today too kayelee- all looking good, baby was sleeping for most of it, but gave us a nice wave. I'm telling myself that unlike Jack- who at 12 weeks took twice as long to scan cos he did not stop moving (and pretty much has NOT stopped moving) this will be a nice quiet baby! All risks came back nice and low (1 in 6500 or something for downs etc) which is nice.
In general feeling a little better, not right this second tho, but thats ok...
Hope everyone is well

Good to hear your scans are going well! My scan is this arvo, and I am so nervous, I just need to pull it together and drive 4 hours to Sydney! Hope everyone is well.

I haven't been on EB for ages, but figured I'd come in and say hello.
I'm due on the 23rd of September with #3. I have a DS who is six and a half and DD who is four next month. Had a missed mc before I had DS and that's it in a nutshell.

Another who doesn't get in here very much. Good to see scans are going well for you so far. I have mine next Thursday so will be good to see how things are going. Will come back in and fill in more when I have some news. Tiredness seems to be easing a little - still feel exhausted every arvo and night but after a rest up on the couch feel slightly human to get through those nightly tasks you know cook dinner, eat, homework, showers, make lunches etc. Other than that, things seem to be going ok.
Will pop back in next week and hopefully see some more news on scans :-)

Spoke too soon about the morning sickness easing up. Have been sick all day the last 3 days and yesterday was so bad I couldn't keep anything down and I haven't even been able to sleep! It's driving me bonkers as I had so much stuff I wanted to get done this long weekend. Oh well as long as bub is healthy. Got my blood and urine tests back and everything looks perfect, just waiting for the maternal serum test which gets assessed at the royal children's so probably will be a few weeks. DP and I have decided that regardless of the results we would continue with the pregnancy, although we have no reason to worry. Very much looking forward to our scan on Tuesday, can't wait to see our little angel and hear the heart beat. And im bursting to share our news with everyone

Mrs Roo - I know how you feel, I had five clear days and now 2 really nasty ones, I just keep telling myself it will all be worth it in the end! AFM I had my NT scan on Friday, it was fantastic, bubs is doing great 1 in 10000 and something risk of downs syndrome! Bubs did some excellent waving and DP and I were so delighted, we told all the rellies who didn't know and apparently after I left my Grandma's house she rang everyone she knows to tell them!I've been telling the friends over the past couple of days and they are all stoked, most of them had figured it out when I didn't have a drink at dinner a few weeks ago, but glad to know everything is going well!Well I better go and do all the domestic chores I didn't get around too yesterday!Hope everyone is well!

Might possibly sound a tad sadistic, but I'm happy to read that a few others are dealing with morning sickness too. I was kinda hoping it would be gone by now. But ah well. It's better than it was. I was barely functioning!
I've popped right out, and starting to feel like it's real. Lol. We're not getting the 12 week scan done, we're low risk so not worried about it. But I look forward to the big 20 week scan!
Anyone else having food aversions? There's so much that I can't eat. And by can't I mean it, I'd vomit if I tried.
Posted 13 March 2012 - 04:13 PM
I know how you feel Im that sick its not funny the dr has given me some tablets to try so at least im not getting up and spewing all night now! But as for during the day its still a nightmare I hope it eases up soon I am so over it. I feel like I have a constant hangover except I didnt get the good night out!

Another one who hasn't been on much lately, have been so tired all the time! Had the 12 week scan today and all went really well right size for age and low risk which is fantastic. So exciting to see Bubba flipping around and kicking and waving. Nice high heart rate of 169bpm. Due date is 26th September.
Sorry to all those who are having issues still with the ms. Mine seems to have disappeared which is nice but scary at the same time.
Planning on telling work tomorrow about Bubba as my belly has really started to pop and due to my other medical history I need to have a lot more doctors appointments so feel I should fill them in on what is happening. When does everyone plan on telling work?
As for food aversions. I can't go near yoghurt or icecream, haven't been able to since about 5 weeks. Just the thought of either makes me feel ill.
Hope everyone is going well and that MS starts to settle down soon.

Hi Ladies, Just wanted to share had 12 week scan today and all went well. Results were great and all low risk. Told our family and so now the floodgates open! 12 week scan is much more interesting than the first! Lots of moving and seeing more.
Sorry to hear so many feeling poorly. I still feel relatively normal but super tired in the afternoon. My stomach is still flattish is in the morning but pops at night. Must be bloating.
Hope you're all keeping well.

Well, been a while since I was here. I seem to have developed a really impressing rash (according to the GP) initial thoughts were that it was standard pregnancy rash, that I was lucky enough to get now, not at the usual 30+ week mark. follow up visit showed worsening & major itching, GP ordered blood work to check liver function, has me freaked out a little. next visit tomorrow afternoon, hopefully will come away with some answers. If I have to deal with this for the next 28 weeks, I am going to go insane.
Detajach - I am hearing you on the sadistic thoughts. I am glad I am not the only one who is feeling like this. nausea, dizzy spells. yep, totally understand.
Good to see that everyone is getting good results at their scans. Ours is booked in for monday, so very much looking forward to seeing our little monkey & making sure everything is going along as it should be.
Chillbub - I am surprised that they could pick up on gender at a 12w scan. was it abdominal or vaginal?
How many of ua are going to find out the sex? We have decided that we want the surprise
Posted 14 March 2012 - 05:54 PM
wannabamumma- hope your rash is nothing too sinister. We will be finding out the gender, I dont do surprises! I can't wait, we have one of each already tho, so it doesn't really matter.
Chillbub- I'd be very careful taking the word at 12 weeks, wait another few months and get it confirmed as from my understanding the angle of the dangle nub theory is still very much a theory.
hopefully-12 weeks is definitely a cooler scan that the first!
Ok, I better go, the kids are arguing over something..
Hope everyone is feeling well, I'm still pretty sick most days but it does seem to be easing for the most part so I'm hopeful it'll stop entirely soon
Posted 14 March 2012 - 09:12 PM
Jess1980- Shame you're so sick. It would be horrendous being sick all night too. But twins I guess you cop double the hormones??
LozB- I love my ice cream at the moment! Mmmm. Food aversions for me are meat of all kinds, and raw vegetables. Also chips, pasta, and other heavy carb meals. Fun fun.
Hope_fully- I was bloating for a while but it seems to have settled down. Are your family excited? Our family all know now. Haven't put it on facebook yet, not sure we'll bother "announcing" it on there to be honest.
Chillbub- Congrats on the scan and on your little girl! I also am one who didn't realise they could be so sure so early, hopefully they're right Girls are nice (so are boys though so it's win win!)
Wannabamumma- That rash sounds horrible! Is it painful? Let us know how you go tomorrow, the sooner you get it sorted the better.
Tinkster33- So are you having the 12 week scan also? Hope your sickness eases asap.
I've still been sick and tired. Not nearly as bad as I was though. So yay for me!
We WILL be finding out gender. We found out with DS, but not with DD. And it was horrible for me. I just didn't bond with the pregnancy the way I did with DS. It's a must for me. But we won't be telling anyone. Secret squirrels all the way
And no 12 week scan for us. I can't remember if I mentioned it or not, and I'm too slack to check. But yeah. We're low risk anyway and I'm not really interested (never had it with DS or DD either).
I really need to stop eating baked beans every day. Lol. Poor DH.

Sorry in advance for this woe is me post!
Think my hormones are going nuts today. I have been nauseous for so long that I'm used to it and today am dizzy on top. But I feel so down today and have been walking around wanting to burst into tears over every little thing.
With being so ill which I knew would happen, I could only drop my DD9 today for her swimming carnival and not stay to support her. She is new to this school and wanted me there, though I know she will be ok. Seeing other parent's pulling out eskies and fold out chairs, I was biting back the tears walking away and feeling so silly at the same time for being so melodramatic.
I know it must be my hormones going wild as I'm usually very sensible. I have already cried this morning over watching the news with the Belgium school bus crash and the dog chewing up my best thongs . Yet yesterday our hot water system blew up and I spent all day trying to find someone to come out in the middle of nowhere to fix it, which wasn't till late last night and was so meh about it.
I have taken a ms tablet to see if by any chance it might work this time so I can pop back up to the school...probably get up there and she wont give two hoots that I'm there and I'll want to cry with the rejection.

I had my NT scan yesterday! Baby was very stubborn and was always in the wrong position so had to go for a walk and then come back. Got a very cute photo of the hand up to the babies mouth. Can't wait to get the results I have to wait until go to doctors on Tuesday. Hate peas and corn atm. My back is starting to get sore and I feel I have to eat every couple of hours otherwise I start to feel sick. Heatbeat was 161pm and measurement from head to bum just under 7cms at 12w2d. Hope everyone else is well!

My name is Liz and I am new here. As you can see I am just over 12 weeks pregnant. Decided not to do the NT scan and bloods, so I don't go for my hospital visits until the end of April when I will be around 18 weeks. We don't want to find out the sex.
This is my partner and my first child. We had been trying for 6 months beforehand and I have had MS since the 5th week, but haven't vomited once.
Our baby's heartrate was 178 at my last scan at 8w1d and everything was good. I had early spotting but hat cleared on the 9th week (bleeding since the 5th week).
I am glad everything seems to be going well at the moment.
Posted 15 March 2012 - 07:46 PM
Well I just had my 12 week scan both babies are the same size which is good, both have heartbeats in th 160s, pretty sure they are fraternal as they are in different sacs and have there own placenta Im starting to feel a little bit excited about them now! The ultrasound technician said just on the ultrasound im in the low risk range so need to see my dr next week to get the full results
Posted 17 March 2012 - 08:05 AM
Another who had a 12 week scan this week. After early bleeding and spotting it was VERY reassuring to see our little bubby moving about in there!!!! Baby is measuring right on dates from early scan so EDD stays the same and all tests came back VERY low risk so that is fantastic. I have my scan and report for the dr as I couldn't get in for another week so I wanted to read it LOL. HB was sitting at a lovely 169 Beats as well. My tummy is popping out so much - I am glad to finally be able to tell people because I don't think I can hide it for much longer!!! My DD was so excited to find out she is becoming a big sister and the 2 aunties know now too. Just have to call my Dad and MIL as she was working and then we will start on friends.
As for feeling ok- I am one of those fortunate that I dont' really get sick as such but food aversions are huge. I gagged over cooking chicken the other night - uh!!! Just can't stand chicken!!! I am loving things like meat and pasta - spag bol, lasagne etc - so funny how your body reacts to different things.
Jess1980 - so good to hear all went well at your scan and your little babies are both going well.
Liz - welcome and congrats on your first pregnancy. Sorry to hear you had bleeding etc - we did too and thats why we did the NT scan etc as I needed reassurance bub was ok. Goodluck at your next appt :-)
Tricia - gotta love how unco-operative those babies are LOL. So was ours. I had to empty my bladder 4 times to get it lying nicely and keep coughing to get it right. Took a while but we got to look at our baby for quite a while which was nice :-)
MKS81 - oh the joys of preg hormones. Funny how little things can make you want to just open the floodgates. Hope you feel better.
Detajach - mmmm baked beans are so good at the moment I agree!!!!!
Tinkster23 - hope the sickness does continue to subside you poor thing. You will really start to enjoy the pg then.
wannabamumma - OMG that rash sounds scary. I hope they work out what it is and start to treat it for you. You poor thing.
Chillbub - wow they told you the gender??? I am surprised they did that. I hope they are right. We found out with DD and will again this time around as I am not a big one for surprises - I like to be surprised. We had 2 scans plus a quick one at delivery time as DD was breech and they all said a girl and I still was not 100% convinced until she came out LOL - lucky cause we had all GIRL stuff.
A big hello to anyone else I missed - thats all the posts I can see :-)
good to see the symptoms of early pg are starting to subside for most. I know I am still quite tired but not as bad as I was. Certainly not every day anyway. As for telling work, the 2 I work with already know but no one "higher" up. Might wait until after my 3 month probabtion period is over which is 2 more weeks - you just never know how it may affect me even though all reports are going great!!!
Anyway, will try and get in more often, just finding time I suppose. Goodluck to anyone else getting their 12 week scans done.

Well, the rash was apparently very early onset of the standard Pregnancy Rash that usually arrives in the 3rd trimester, I was just unlucky enough to get it at 10 weeks. It seems to have cleared for now, but I am apparently more likely to get it again later on.
I am off for my NT scan this morning, so fingers crossed all goes well.
I have also had a shocking headache as a result of neck being out for the last week. Have been to my chiro (who dosent crack, love it!!) and am thinking i might have to go back again.
Apologies for the venting post, doing my head in at the moment.
best get organised, need to head off for scan.

Thought I'd check in as I haven't been around much. I'm still very nauseous and vomiting a lot - I finally admitted defeat and got a script for Zofran. Haven't filled it yet though, am calling around to get the best price as it's so expensive but after last night's episode of vomiting 6 times in 4 hours while trying to sleep I'm over it!
Happy news was the NT scan, like you *littlemiracles* baby was completely in the wrong position so I had to jump around, cough a lot and empty part of my bladder to see if they'd shift. Which they eventually did. It was lovely to watch and hear the heartbeat as well as see it. I cried a little listening to the heart, so amazing. My risk for DS came back low - 1:7520 so we're happy with that.
wannabamumma - you poor thing, hopefully it doesn't return and you don't have to suffer throughout the whole pregnancy!
