Hi girls just an update on yesterday saw the drs at the hospital again today I have been put on 6 units of insulin to take at night together with the metformin that I am currently on.
Bub will be being born via elective c-section on the 1st of May. I have a scan this afternoon to find out roughly how big she currently is.
Would any of you lovely ladies be interested in taking over the list from me as I only have 12 days left to go now until this bub is here.

Loved your story Dizzy - congratulations and good luck to you and your new little family!!
Congrats MrsCee - fantastic news can't wait to hear from you.
bananagirlsmum - hopefully the next couple of weeks goes quickly for you, that the PE doesn't affect you too much and the insulin does its thing. Thumbs down for all the monitoring but at least you know bub is being looked after
SusieBlue - watching out for news.....
Spit - so glad that you have got so far without any major complications!! Congrats!! Downhill run now....
AFM - Had an appt Tues, have gained back the weight I'd lost at last appt, Dr says bub has grown, even though its still on the small side, the growth rate is still right, so no need to worry, fluid, placenta all good. I have carpal tunnel in my left hand.
Am feeling pretty flat today, am not sleeping so well, I think on account of having a bit of a stress out over whether baby is posterior or not - I don't know why I am stressing about that, but I've been trying to talk myself out of it all day so I can sleep well tonight. I keep waking myself up to roll onto my left and I slept funny on my ear last night and it was sore.. And the dreams....so vivid and ridiculous!
Has anyone had maternity portraits done? Were they worth it? Professionally done or talented friend with good camera? I'm being tight and not wanting to fork out for prof ones but I do have a few friends with great photography skills.... Its only going to be my first baby once, and I want to have some beautiful pictures to remember it by.
Bought a couple of sleeping bras from QueenBee Maternity - love them!! they are so soft and comfy - will be perfect for hospital and when I get home too. Just pull to the side, and they have pockets in the cups for nursing pads.
Well, best get this heffalump on the move and go for a walk!! Might help the sleep situation?

A quick announcement from me!
Sadie Kathleen has arrived! Unfortunately she is due to wake soon for a feed so I cannot tell you all the details just yet but she arrived Tuesday 17th of April (due the 25th of April) at 5:59pm. She weighed 6.6 pounds and is 50cms long and devine!!
The birth was quite quick and hard with a little drama at the end but nothing that I am complaining about, she is home now and doing so well with feeding and sleeping so far.
So glad to hear all of the great news so far
Bananagirl you take care and I wish you all the best until the 1st of May!
I will be back with the birth story if you like, Dizzy you story is fantastic you did so well and I am glad Lara is doing well xx

Hi girls!! Just wanted to give a huge congrats to Ready, you must be so happy!! What a lovely name too. Congrats also to MrsCee! Wow, the babies are coming thick and fast now!!!!
dizzy anne - What an amazing birth story. You did such an incredible job - and the reward is great isn't it!!!
Bananagirlsmum - Its great that you know when you'll be meeting your little one. I hope you're able to keep on top of the GD and PE easily until then. Thinking of you
Farmgirl - I hope you've managed to get some quality sleep
Well, I'm still here - our little one is now overdue! I've stopped expecting her to come any minute...she's obviously not ready! We went for a 7km walk today hoping that might help but all I have to show for it is a sore pelvis! I'm feeling a bit sick of people msging and calling asking what is going on though. When there is something to say, I'll let them know!!
Hope I'll be back soon with some interesting news

Congratulations Dizzy on the birth of Lara! Loved your birth story too.
Congratulations MrsCee on the birth of your little boy! Looking forward to hearing from you
Congratulations readyandraring on the birth of Sadie!
SusieBlue hope missy doesnt keep you waiting much longer.
Farmgirl I had maternity shots done when pg with DD and I love them. We found a local photographer (on EB) who was just starting out and needed models so we got a free sitting and then the disc with all the pics too. Was fantastic. Perhaps see if you can find someone like that or just use a friend like you said. I'm going to get my sister to do some pics for us this time round and will just google maternity shoots to see what pictures I want her to take.
bananagirlsmum hope the PE doesnt cause too much trouble for you or bub. Must feel good having a date set now too
spitmurphys hope the specialist appointments go well next week and you and bub continue to keep well and bubby is born well and healthy.
AFM 22 weeks and all going pretty good. On meds for my heartburn (was with DD too) and am fighting the flu but getting better. Work has been insane the last few weeks, hence my absence on here, but its starting to settle down now which is a relief!
We can see bub moving from the outside now, just little belly shakes (when we really look for it!) but it means bub is getting bigger and stronger which is wonderful
I did get around to telling work (about 20weeks), I was told I did a great job at hiding it, my state manager had no idea
I am happy to take over the list too if no one else has already offered.

Susie 7km! Now that's commitment!
Spit wow heading to brissy... The countdown is on.
White lily yay for movement! Enjoy!
Hope everyone is doing well growing their precious babies!

MrsCee, congrats on the arrival of your little boy!
And Ready, congrats on little Sadie, what a beautiful name!!!!
White Lilly, thanks for taking over the list, and congrats on telling work. It's nice not to have any secrets right???
Spitmurphys, oooh, getting ready to go to Brisbane for the induction, so exciting! Cannot wait to hear your big arrival news!
Susie, I hope your littlw one has made the big debut by now, but I will be checking in to hear all about it!
AFM, 32 weeks today, and starting to feel quite uncomfortable. It's all worth it though, right??? DH is away fishing with the boys, so I just got myself some girly movies and about to crack out the ice cream! Hope you are all having a great weekend! Family xxx

Hi ladies...I had a very bad miscarriage last year and I just found out I'm pregnant
Due date: 29th December 2012
Age: 25 (I'll be 26 when he/she is born)
Location: Melbourne, Australia
After my miscarriage I thought I would never get pregnant again but a miracle has happened and I am so happy... Words can not describe how happy I am
Posted 22 April 2012 - 08:47 AM
Welcome Cat - Hope your stay is a long and uneventful one
Dizzy - I was having a chuckle too at your random posting times.
Family - I'm pretty uncomfortable too, I hate having a whinge about it, but the other day I was trying to get out of the lounge (ours is very soft and sinky) I realised just how much this belly slows you down. DH chipped me the other night for taking too long to get settled back in bed with all my pillows after my 1am pee run. He also told me to start turning on the light in case I trip over and hurt his baby lol.
Yay for belly shakes white lily!!
Sleeping better now I've banished the whole posterior thing out of my head. Stupid. yesterday had a lazy day in bed and at one point had a brilliant idea to bunch up all my pillows, make a belly nest so I could lay on my tummy and rest.....2 hours later I woke up!!! awesome. Bub has been a bit quieter at the end of this week but I think its running out of room as the movements I do get are strong and sometimes painful!
sorry to all I've missed, came in for a quick stalk for susie news - what a run we've had lately!! taking my MIL to the markets today - she's suffering with menopause/depression/empty nest syndrome and trying to keep her out of the hole is interesting work.... happy sunday all!
Posted 22 April 2012 - 09:13 AM
Thank you farm girl I'm looking forward to chatting with you lovely ladies xx
Posted 22 April 2012 - 02:39 PM
Yay you're in Brissy Spit! The countdown has begun!
Family - yes it is so worth it!!!!
Farmgirl - ha ha about the pillows - I used to do exactly the same thing!
My DH bought me an iPod touch to keep me entertained while breastfeeding - hence the random posting times! Isn't he gorgeous??
Posted 22 April 2012 - 06:18 PM
Its been a while since I have checked in, sorry about that. Things have been pretty hectic.
Well I'm almost 21 weeks now So things are still progressing well. Baby is moving and kicking all the time and its a According to u/s but I am going to have another scan to be 'sure' as I know they can make mistakes. I posted a pic in "gender guessing" on the first page in Tips and Questions pregnancy section if you care to look.
I am having a few little drama's I have low fluid so they are flying me interstate to a women's and children's hospital to see if they can determine why I have low fluid. Kidneys, heart, placenta, brain, absolutely everything looks normal so they want me to see a perinatal specialist to make sure. I hope all pans out well
Fingers crossed it is a girl as I want a daughter so badly but as long as baby is healthy thats all that truly matters!
CONGRATULATIONS Dizzy on the birth of Lara! Your birth story was beautiful.
Mrs Cee CONGRATULATIONS on your blue bundle!!!
CONGRATULATIONS readyandraring on your little girl!
Welcome cat1432 I hope you have a long boring stay until your bay gets here!!
Good luck with the induction spitmurphy I had two great inductions. I hope yours goes smoothly
I hope everyone is well and your babies are behaving in your belly before coming earthside
Posted 22 April 2012 - 07:35 PM
Hi girls - unfortunately no news!! But thank you for keeping an eye out for me. I'm now 3 days past my EDD, and just waiting, waiting I'm trying to have low expectations and psych myself up for a possible induction! Thats probably still a week away!
PinkSurvivor - lovely to hear from you, how exciting that you're having a girl!! I hope your low fluid issues get sorted out soon, the last thing you need is anxiety. Thinking of you
Dizzy - its great that you can post and bf at the same time!!
Farmgirl - Great to hear you're sleeping better! I feel like my bub has quietened down too - although I'm getting pain under my right ribs so I think she is wedged in there. She has always been a quiet baby though, which has done my head in during the entire pg - my son was constantly bashing me up inutero.
Cat - Welcome! This group has been wonderful for keeping my head together during the last 8 or so months, I hope it is the same for you
Spit - Yay for heading to Brisbane!!!!!
Family Girl - hope you enjoyed that icecream!!!
White Lily - I hope work calms down for you! Its lovely that you're getting plenty of movement

Hi All - Just a quickie - found a photographer that will do a maternity and newborn shoot for $400 - that includes the sitting, editing of photos and you get all of the pics on a disc. Just a maternity shoot is $250. Actually seems pretty reasonable to me. DH had a bit of a mal over the price. Considering our wedding pics cost us $70.....He reckons his sister could do it, but I'm not really comfortable posing my pregnant belly to a 17 year old....
this lady takes beautiful warm pictures - I like her style. I'm kind of thinking I should just do it and screw the expense?
Posted 24 April 2012 - 12:55 PM
Hi Farmgirl. You will never regret the photo's you buy if you like the style of the photographer but you will regret it if you miss the opportunity. I would spend the money, no questions asked. $400 is a Very reasonable price!
Posted 24 April 2012 - 05:46 PM
farmgirl I think that's a great price for pregnancy and newborn! Go for it!
Posted 24 April 2012 - 06:11 PM
Farmgirl do it!! I Love my maternity and newborn pics of DD

Hi ladies - just wanted to let you know that Bethany Joy arrived this morning (Anzac Day) at 4.40am, weighing 3.9 kg and measuring 50cm
More details to follow!
Posted 26 April 2012 - 02:47 PM
Congrats Susie on the birth of Bethany! Love her name!! Hope you are recovering well.
Posted 27 April 2012 - 09:49 PM
CONGRATULATIONS!!!! On the birth of Bethany <3
Baby is healthy, they can't see anything wrong at all. My fluid is still low but not fetal death low, just monitor it low. So it was a great trip for that. I am so relieved that baby should be fine. Now I just need OB appt's every 1-2 weeks for the duration but I have pretty much lived at the hospital for the last 18 months so whats another few right
Posted 02 May 2012 - 10:14 AM
Congrats SusieBlue !!! What a lovely name.
PinkSurvivor - good that they are keeping a close eye on you. I've been on fornightly appts my entire preg from 5 weeks. After 2 m/c and being on aspirin, he has kept a very close eye on me. He did the same for my SIL with her twin preg. Love my OB!
Quiet in here - everyone gone into hibernation already lol?
AFM - Went to OB yesterday, heart, fluid, placenta all good. Growth only about a week behind now, he says its just a small bub but looks completely healthy. yay!! BP spot on perfect 110/77 and have had a growth spurt in the weight department, 3kg in 2 weeks taking the total to about 13kg all up. Had only been putting on about 500g a fortnight up till now, and actually lost some about 30 weeks. Had bloods and am now on weekly visits till bub arrives. Its getting so close now, I have to pinch myself sometimes to make sure I'm not dreaming - we're having a baby! In a month! yikes!!
Have been getting nausea occasionally - apparently this is normal?! my midwife tells me that you can revert back to feeling like 1st tri again, so nausea and exhaustion. Sleeping at night is getting more interesting - I still am most comfortable on my back, but I don't like to too much. Poor DH doesnt get a look in - I've got pillows everywhere so no spooning lol. Spent the day in town yesterday and was totally exhausted when I got home. Can't believe I did it every day.
Have this burning desire to knit. I'm fighting it because I can't knit. I'm left handed and totally unable to control tension or wool and I get all tangled up. I have tried crochet, I can do basic chain stitch well, but as soon as I start to work in the round (think granny squares) I can't read the stitches and it looks like a rats nest. What I need to do is get the sewing machine out and mend DH work clothes. I'd much rather sew than knit, sewing is quicker - patience is not a virtue of mine!
good luck May ladies - eyes are peeled for more arrivals!!
