Hi all
I have an incredibly stupid question, but my 36w pregnant brain is on holiday somewhere in a tropical island I think, consequently I can't comprehend logic...

I'm just setting up our new cot mattress - I've just taken it out of the plastic and realized one side is fabric and the other plastic.

Which side up does it go?

If its plastic side up, do I still need a mattress protector?

Please help my poor foggy brain original.gif

Sorry if this is in the wrong spot - I can't figure out whichn ay my matress goes - figuring out what part of the forum to post this question in is completely impossible!! original.gif ha

TIA
Felix

I've never heard of a mattress that has plastic on one side? I would rather use the material side with a matress protector and then sheet in case the plastic is a SIDS risk, not sure about that one.

Thanks for the replies. I had a surprising brainwave, and called the store I bought it from original.gif

They said it is designed to be used plastic side up to avoid needing a mattress protector, but can be used either side. There are no SIDS risks.

Thanks againF
