We have been given a large whiteboard, which has some old writing on it. i have gone over it with a whiteboard marker, which has removed about 50% of writing, what can I use to get old writing off? Also, what do people use on an ongoing basis to clean them?

Alcohol will wipe it clean. The reason that the whiteboard marker will remove it is because it has alcohol in it

Coles has little bottle of rubbing alcohol for about $7. Green bottle - use some on a paper towel, should come right off. The bottle will last you for ages.
