Hi. I'm a mother to an almost 10months old boy. Just found out that I'm 3-4 weeks pregnant again. I delivered my first baby in Epworth Freemasons and was very happy with the service there.
With this second one, my husband and I are thinking of going to a nearer hospital, Mercy Hospital for Women at Heidelberg out of convenience, especially with a toddler at home to take care of.
Can anyone share their experiences at Mercy Heidelberg? Instead of going back to my obstetrician, am also thinking of going to a midwife throughout my pregnancy, but I really have no idea what are the differences, pros and cons of a midwife over a gynae/obs.
Because of my past surgery and my first childbirth being a c-section, this coming childbirth will need to be a c-section too. Would it be ok to go to a midwife throughout the whole pregnancy and be delivered by an obs? Or is it better to go with an obs from the beginning.
Appreciate all comments and sharing of experiences. Thank you.
