Hi there,
This is my first ever blog and I don't really know what I'm doing. What I do know is that I'm having a lot of trouble trying to have a baby and a friend of mine suggested this site for a bit of support from those going through the same thing. This is my story:

I'm 29 and have been married for four years to a wonderful man and about a year ago we decided it was time to start thinking about a family. Unfortunatly I have never had a regular cycle and when I was 16 my local doctor told me that I would probably have trouble falling pregnant in the future. She called it alright. After a visit to many specialists, it was discovered that I have PCOS and I don't ovulate at all. So we started on the usual medications with no luck. So the next step was IVF. After my very first egg collection, I became extremly sick with Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome and was hospitalised for 12 days with 4 of those days being in ICU. It was a horrendous time for both me and my husband. My O & G later told me that only approx 7% of the population develop the condition as badly as I did. On the positive side though we managed we get 4 good embryos. In February we implanted, 2 weeks later a positive result. There are no words describing how happy we were, I thought that finally with all the trouble we'd had, things were finally turning around. That joy was short lived only to miscarry at 7 weeks. I have to admit the weeks that followed were some of my darkest. So now I'm about to start to prepare for another transfer and I'm terrified.

So that's my story in a nutshell. Will keep up posts of how things go.

Hi all

So yesterday was my ultrasound and more blood work, my levels were 842 on Monday and I didn't find out what they were on Wednesday but the nurse said they had gone up which is good but that I wasn't surging so I needed the trigger shot again (which I assumed).

The ultrasound showed 2 good follicles on the left ovary this time (I've never had 2 before!)

They were 22x24 and 14x16 - my endo layer was 9mm, so I am super excited that we have a good chance of getting pregnant this month, but at the same time trying not to get ahead of myself.. it's frustrating!

So I had my full trigger shot last night and the 1st half of the next shot will be Wednesday 15th and the last half on Saturday the 18th, with a P4 blood test on the Friday.

Yoga was good but I am so not flexible and was getting a headache, but the meditation afterwards really helped it go away and I felt relaxed and looser afterwards.. so am looking forward to next time.

Am going on a 5km fundraiser walk this Sunday for Mothers day, then to brunch and a movie so hopefully keeping busy will keep me distracted. Also have my 3rd Bowen therapy appointment on Saturday morning and that seems to be going well.

bye for now

Autumnal - nothing to do with leaves. It is to do with a certain brownness at the edges of the day... Brown is creeping up on us, take my word for it... Russets and tangerine shades of old gold flushing the very outside edge of the senses... deep shining ochres, burnt umber and parchments of baked earth - reflecting on itself and through itself, filtering the light. At such times, perhaps, coincidentally, the leaves might fall, somewhere, by repute. Yesterday was blue, like smoke.

- Tom Stoppard

Hi again

I have started my 5th cycle of GonalF as my AF arrived on Monday. Not as depressing as last month but still sad.

Since I track and just talk with the nurses each month, they suggested I make an appointment to see the FS and make a plan if this doesn't work. I am scared that it won't but am more petrified of doing IVF and that not working!!

So but I started the injections yesterday and trying to keep exercising and be positive.

Hubby is seeming a little down lately and not that interested in fun with me.. I hope that picks up .. I love him so much but dont want this to ruin our baby making or have that ruin our relationship.

Bye for now

hello everyone, I know I said weekly updates but I have decided to update whenever I have news good or bad. Ok so todays is good news. I bought Blackmore's Conceive Well Gold Pre-conception Vitamins and I have joined Curves . I will start taking the Blackmore's Conceive Well Gold as of today and on Friday it is my first gym workout, actually my first workout ever. So proud of myself though, because 2 weeks ago I weighed 100 KG, finally hopped on a scale to day and guess what... 96 KG!!!! I am so proud of that though it may not seem like much . Still a long way to go until I am at my ideal baby making weight. Tomorrow I also start my zumba routine . That will be my morning workout to kick start my day. Also going to swim twice a week now for 10 minutes as I don't want to overdo the workouts. I pray every night and every morning to god, asking him to bless me with a child when my partner and I start ttc in July. Hopefully not long after we start trying we get that , fingers crossed.

Anyway I'm off to . got to wake up when my alarm goes of in 5 hours nighty night everyone, Wish me luck on my journey and baby dust to all.
