Is it worth making them? We buy them frozen from Chinatown, and they are so good and dirt cheap. I wonder if it would even be worth it to make them myself as I refuse to believe they could be better. But what if they are and I'm missing out? Just the torture of not knowing is becoming too much for me.

I love asian food and cook alot of asian dishes including gyoza dumplings, prawn dumplings and other yum cha varieties.
I have attempted home made dim sims three times, and unlike my gyozas which I think are better than alot of places and as good as the others, my dim sims are not quite on par. And you are exactly right, when I can purchase "home made" ones for about the same price as making them, I'll stick with purchasing them until I get the determination one day for perfecting the dim sim. |

If I could buy them from Chinatown, then I wouldn't bother and would eat them every day! Sadly the only ones available near us are the nasty homebrand ones from the IGA. |
