Rivers heels are sooo comfortable - always get comments on the 3 pairs I own - at the grand total of $30 for 3 pairs!

My $15 kmart boots from 3 years ago have finally bitten the dust - must go get some more!!!

I'm currently wearing a pair of ankle boots - and most comfortable they are too. I thought they looked rather good with jeans as well ..... and I have a second pair (wearing tan the others are black) sitting in my bedroom - they were on sale 'buy 1 get the second half price' .... at a cost of $75 for the two pairs.

My previous pair - that died after almost constant wear - cost about $20 from KMart.

I'm a sucker for a nice pair of boots and if I can get them cheap even better. And I love Rivers shoes too, lucky me lives close to a Rivers outlet so lots of cheap shoes and boots original.gif

I win, my cheap ankle boots were $5 from Kmart. I am horrified that dadathome on eb now thinks I am cheap and trashy.

I have a few of these, I bought them 2 years ago and I agree, they are cheap and nasty. So bad for your feet and pretty uncomfortable to wear as they do not provide enough support.

I just recently bought a pair of brown Italian leather knee high boots. They are so much better.

I quite like ankle boots and never considered them trashy! There are some gorgeous ones at Wittner and Laura Mercier.

I don't mind ankle boots as long as they are worn with the right attire. Personally, i prefer knee high boots ! original.gif

I wear ankle boots and I don't spend a fortune (my current pair that I'm wearing cost around $30 at half usual price) but I can't afford more expensive boots. And knee highs don't fit around my nicely toned calf muscles - they are just a little chunkier than the average bear. So I wear them. I also wear them with big colourful socks. And really short skirts!! So I kill all kinds of fashion rules. But

I completely forgot about this thread, but stand by my comment. Maybe I should have said "obviously cheap and badly designed and made", because that's what it looked like. Cheap doesn't need to equal nasty.....

I bought these in dark, mocha brown today. They're not cheap, but I have borked feet, so have to wear "Comfortable Shoes" and I am in puffy-heart love with them.

I cannot wear cheap shoes ever. They're just never soft enough. I need ones where the insole is made from the winter-fur of passing mammoths that has been pressed on the thighs of male virgins into a slipper-like pad of softness.

LOL me too.

I just bought my first pair of ankle boots in every so soft Italian chocolate brown suede but I'm anti-ankle-boots-with skirts, for which I prefer knee-high. But I think ankle boots are great with cigarette/slim-line or boot-leg jeans.
