when i grow up i wanna be like me
Am after some new books to read (I have a kindle so anything I am able to download from Amazon would be preferred).

Some of the books and authors I have read are
Fifty Shades Of Grey (just finished these, the writing was meh but I enjoyed the story and "kinky ****ery" lol)
Vampire Academy (mmmm Dimitri biggrin.gif )
Pretty much all of Richard Laymons novels
Tess Gerritsen
Karen Rose
Tami Hoag (Guilty as Sin)
the House Of Night series (just finishing the last book now)
Twilight
Nalini Singh Psy Changling series (I got over these after book 4 though)
Black Dagger Brotherhood (still need to read the last book in this)
Sookie Stackhouse series (anyone know if another of these will be released soon?)
Anne Rice (had trouble getting into her books)
Jim Butcher
Karin Slaughter
The Tomorrow Series

Anyone know of anything they think I might enjoy?

I loved this book, 'Accidentally in Love with...A God?' Very funny and original. I also enjoyed the 2nd book and the third is due out later this year.
Its the same genre as the Sookie books. I highly recommend them.

I am reading the Anita Blake series at the moment and finding them pretty good.

Apparently the books go downhill when they hit book number 12 but so far (I'm up to no. 9) they are good easy reading.

Just wanted to add, the first book wasn't as good as the rest so don't let it turn you off the series...

Not sure what the latest Sookie Stackhouse book you read was but Deadlocked came out in May.

The Janna series by Felicity Pulman. My daughter got me onto these books and I loved them. I think the whole series of 6 books is out now.

I've read and enjoyed a lot of the books that you've have.

The last 2 books that I have really captivated me (have kept me up til the early hours of the morning):

Daughter of Smoke and Bone - Laini Taylor
Touch of Power - Maria V Snyder

I like them sweet.
Here are some that I have dusted off in the last few weeks (I'm into my urban fantasy at the moment).

The Night Huntress series by Jeanine Frost
The Kate Daniels series by Illona Andrews
The Guide Hunter series by Nalini Saligh
AngelFall by Susan Ee - best $3 buy ever

Trust In Advertising - Victoria Michaels. It's a romance if you like romance fluffy books about hot millionaire and a nice girl who hangs in hope of him falling in love with her. I was into fluff romance novels before my craving for urban fantasy took a serious hit a few weeks ago.

Bared To You - Sylvia Day. It's almost a copy of Fifty Shades of Grey but both female and male protagonists are seriously ****ed up and the writing is a tad better.

I'm hesitant about starting Daughter of Smoke and Bones because I refuse to wait for another series. I'm already waiting on the next books for the series mentioned above plus the Fever series. I hate waiting. It's excruciating.

Can anyone recommend a series like The Guide Hunter? I need some more doses of UF featuring Angels.
