No, I don't mean gulping down a raw egg straight out of the shell (though tell me if you do that too). I'm really refering to raw egg as an ingredient - egg mousse, eggnog, cake batter, raw egg mayo etc.

I'd very occasionally have it in cake batter.

Yes, all the time. I make a lot of mayonnaise with whole raw eggs. Probably once a week. The whole family eats it, including my kids. But I'm not pregnant. I wouldn't eat it myself if I was pregnant.

ETA: We all also eat soft boiled eggs and fried eggs with runny yolk.

No, I won't let the kids lick the spoon when making cake etc.

My snarking is a medical condition.
Sure, Vitello Tonnato, carbonara, very soft boiled/poached eggs, mayonnaise.

I am not really mad on eggs but yes I would eat them raw, particularly in things such as chocolate mousse as it isn't really "eggy" IYKWIM. However, not when I am pregnant and I don't let the kids (aged 4 and 7) eat raw eggs. Although to be honest I think it would be OK for the 7 year old.

Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway
No, no, no... God NO!!

Just the thought makes me gag... its a running joke in this house to chase mum around with the raw cake batter and eat it in front of me... I am retching a little just thinking about it!

Of all the miracles of life, you two are my favourite.
Yes. Often. And I give them to my kids too in things like eggflips.

We have chickens though. Before they started laying, I was buying free range eggs from a friend who also has chickens.
