And out of the cloth ones I have, I like the PeaPods the best, comfortable and leakproof

I too love my peapods, have been using mine for 6 months now & they are still going strong, saved me a fortune (even though I don't leak that much now I still use them everyday just in case, puts my mind at ease).

I use Johnsons purple box disposable ones as I have found the washable ones have leaked. I have been meaning to try again and see if I can find some that don't leak. I have always had to use them when feeding, even six months down the track. Really wish I didn't have to like a few of the PPs.

I second the poster who suggested not buying too many.

In all my years of breastfeeding I only ever leaked once!

I agree with not buying too many. I've barely had to use them but when I did the best ones were some wool ones. Sorry, but I can't remember the name and Google isn't working for me. But they were much nicer than the cotton & hemp ones I bought. Never used the disposables, so can't comment on them.

hi i bf my first baby 2yrs 3mths and am currently bf baby#2 2.5weeks old. i never needed the box of AVENT breast pads for #1 but found i used the whole box after 1.5wks for #2! my local chemist didnt have AVENT only PIGEON unfortunately in hindsite. sad.gif As i had an allergic reaction to PIGEON and it really interferred with the enjoyment of breastfeeding with the pain! so i strongly DONT RECOMMEND PIGEON breast pads especially if you have sensitive skin. I was using Lansinoh lanolin cream which helped but switched to the hydrogel pads which have been good so far but is there anything else i can put on my nipples to help them heal anyone recommends?

In the early stages I found plastic backed disposable ones the best since you leak so much.

Laster I moved to fabric Avent ones which were awesome.

Rite aid hydrogel discs are bliss for sore nipples but are completely different to breast pads and wont stop leaks

The purple and white Johnson's ones are the best in the business. Never leak, comfortable and super absorbent. I could feed a second baby with the amt of milk I leak!!

You will get samples of many brands in ur bounty bag at hospital and also only need them once ur milk comes in on day 3 most likely so buy one $7 pack, try all the samples and then decide

I have the avent washable (bulky and show thru tops), the medela washable (trim but leak) and have tried in disposables the nuk, pigeon and avent and they are all huge, plasticy and non breathable.

I use different kinds for different purposes. In the beginning I use Pigeon disposable. They are the best disposable ones IMO and you really need to change frequently to ensure your nipples are kept as dry as possible so you don't get thrush. Hydrogel pads are good if/when you have sore nipples, but a bit expensive for every time use.

I use cloth once my supply has settled and I am not leaking too much. I have some really nice bamboo ones from a MCN supplier as well as some WAHM made ones.

At home in the early days I also used a whole bunch of face washers that I just folded and stuffed in my bra. They are handy because they dry so fast after washing and are easily used as burp cloths at a feed.

I leak heaps, in fact for me it starts in pregnancy. With my first child, it started at 20 weeks pregnant, with my second, I was still feeding my first and now with my third, it started a couple of weeks before the birth. Moooooooooooo!

I bought washable bamboo ones of Ebay & they were fab. You can get day & night ones, the night ones have a waterproof lining and were really absorbent...and I leaked a lot

I recommend Avent washables. Still using them now, although DS is 14 months and I don't have any leaking, as my nipples are too sensitive to go without. Didn't like the disposables AT ALL. So fake, plasticy and yuck.
