So did anyone watch tonight? TBH I hit the fast forward button a fair bit. It'll be interesting to see who the top 24 will be.
They said they are going "back to basics" this year. I hope so, can live without all the (manufactured) drama! |

I did although getting a bit bored towards then end, and those "tasters" in the middle of the ad's were silly. The main thing I couldn't stand about masterchef last year, was how much they repeated things after the break, I know all reality shows do this but theirs was over done! Hopefully they will tone it down this year or I will be turning it off again.

Too slow, too boring, too many repeat sections, one time they came back for a split second and went to another bunch of ads and by showing preview of what is coming up next, they spoiled some of who was going through. Not sure if I will watch this season.

I love MC. I think it has a spirit of generosity towards contestants lacking from almost all other reality TV series which just seem to encourage people to make tw*ts of themselves.
I get sick of the posturing of the three hosts but do genuinely get behind the contestants. The reptition is awful though, agreed, truly redundant. It'll get more interesting when we get into the house and know who the top 24 is. A really interesting group of people though. I'm on board. |

The dish that won the challenge...yum! The corn looked soooo good, I was salivating!
Felt really bad for the girl who dropped her chicken on the floor. That must have been pretty frustrating. |

So why didn't she just chop the chicken in half and only serve the top? All of TV land saw that it only hit the floor on the bottom....or am I being completely gross? And please... can they bring in a new dealbreaker? ANYbody who gets teary or cries is booted immediately! Or at the very least, edited out. Along with the next person who says their dream is to open a little restaurant. In fact, spot prize to the first person who says they are there to get rich and famous off the back of a reality cooking show. Other than that, loving it |

QUOTE (jaskat @ 07/05/2012, 09:40 PM) 14556883[/url]'] So why didn't she just chop the chicken in half and only serve the top? All of TV land saw that it only hit the floor on the bottom....or am I being completely gross? I thought the same thing. They tried the roast chicken dish which wasn't cooked through, which I thought was worse! The bone was still red raw |

I loved it when they said to the 18 year old that if food and cooking were his dream, why didn't he just go and sign up for an apprenticeship, at 18 he was young enough to do that, and Gary answered 'because this is easier'
And yes, it is so very unrealistic for all them to really hope that they could open a little restaurant/bar/cafe Jen |
