M=mum, U=uni student, M=eMployee = busy!
I made this for the first time last night and it was so easy I can already remember the recipe, not mention it was quick to make and a huuuuge hit with the family!

Penne with prawns in a garlic tomato sauce

Cook amount of penne required and set aside (I used rice instead)
Fry peeled, deveined prawns in a little olive oil, butter, and garlic. Set aside.
Add half a chopped red onion back to the pan, along with 6 cloves crushed garlic. Fry until onion soft.
Add 400g can diced tomatos and generous splash of white wine. Simmer about 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Add prawns back to tomato mix and heat through.
Serve over pasta and top with parmesan cheese.

Proud EB Whinger! :)
Oh that looks heavenly! If only I had some prawns in the house! (and wasn't in my pj's and too broke to go out and buy some, lol)

Ignorance is not a point of view.
I make something very similar, but the recipe has the zest of an orange in it (and some chilli). Sounds gross, but OMG, there is something about the citrus and seafood.

Sounds delicious. Wonder what it would taste like with a dash of cream...

Thanks OP, I might try this with some avocado stirred through at the end. I had an amazing prawn and avocado pasta years ago in a restaurant in Leichhardt, and would love to recreate it at home.
