So I'm wondering what everyones signature dish. I'm one of these people who loves to cook new recipes, so never practice one enough to perfect it, I just move on!

That said, it always takes me a week to plan "that dish" to take to someones house etc.

So what is your standby signature dish that is always a hit when entertaining? Normal and thermomix recipes welcome.

THANKS!

Father Dougal for the Papacy!
Why do you need one? And why does anyone else's have relevance?

I so do not have one but have a rep as an awesome cook because I cook what is taking my fancy at the time.

I don't want to brag or anything, but I make a pretty mean vegemite toast.

Pistachio macaroons (Nigella's recipe). Definitely makes you look like a domestic goddess.

I'm impressed with anyone who makes macaroons - too much work, too little reward!

Me - risotto. It's boring but I love it and can always turn out a good risotto with whatever's to hand.

I make a pretty mean fried rice. Even hubby loves it and he doesn't really like fried rice.

But my signature dish is lamb, feta and olive meatballs. Mmm...I could go for a dish right now.
