Susan Bower interview.
SPOILER WARNING: This interview contains spoilers for Australian and UK viewers - to read a spoiler free version, click here It has been almost four years since Susan Bower took over as Executive Producer of Neighbours and over two since our last interview, here she speaks to us about the 25th Anniversary, the move to Eleven and what to expect as we head towards 2012... Finally, what can we expect as we head towards 2012? I wish I could tell you everything. It's all marvellous. There is a very dark secret uncovered, there is change of atmosphere on Ramsay Street where the big wide world [comes] in to mix us all up. There are new characters, there are some dramatic finishes to relationships, there is the coming together and falling apart of relationships. There is the beautiful opening of a heart and we have a wonderful odd couple. We have a surprise change in a character who is sick of being the good girl, I think you can work out who that is, and some different visuals and locations. There is so much happening, you won't be disappointed. http://perfectblend.net/features/interview-bower3.htm |

Spoilers 12th - 16th September
Credit: neighboursfans.com Monday 12th Sept Michael makes a careless mistake, leaving Tash to stumble across the photo of her family at the beach. Confused, Tash doesn’t know what to make of it, but knows that she finally needs some answers about her connection to the beach as a child. When Andrew learns Chris has left his job at the garage, he assumes it’s to do with his unsupportive father. But when Andrew learns that Chris quit of his own accord, Andrew blasts Chris for letting him down. However, when Andrew discovers the real reason, Chris opens up and shares how difficult things are for him. Determined to make amends, Andrew confronts Lucas on Chris’ behalf. Suspecting Noah’s pulling away from her, Sophie looks for a way to reconnect with him. Prepared to go the distance she debates trading in her most prized possession, her guitar. Tues 13th Sept Lucas apologises to Chris but is left annoyed when Chris refuses to accept it. Lucas tries to move on, declaring Chris is no loss to the business. Seeing through his front, Sonya challenges Lucas to admit he actually cares about Chris as more than an employee but Lucas refuses to acknowledge her point. However, when he instinctively stands up to Chris’ dad on his behalf, Lucas is forced to reconsider. Lucas finds Chris and is brutally honest about his feelings, telling him he’s sorry but can’t promise that he won’t make the same mistakes in the future. Will Chris forgive him? Sonya is forced to tell Kyle she is no longer against the shopping centre development. Kyle’s surprised and disappointed. Not willing or ready to tell Tash the truth, Michael keeps up his lie and covers the re-emergence of the photo. Wanting to believe her dad, Tash accepts it. But Summer isn’t so convinced. They search through old boxes together only to find things that connect Tash and her dad. Tash realises that’s all she needs, however Summer believes there is more to explore. Is she about to uncover Michael’s terrible secret? Wed 14th Sept Summer is determined to dig up information on Tashs mother. While Andrew discourages her, Malcolm is supportive, seeing a bit of Susan in Summer’s concern for her friend. Inspired, Summer brazenly enters Erinsborough News to search their archives and successfully convinces Paul she’s there on Susan’s behalf. Finding new information, Summer’s faced with the choice of telling Tash or allowing her to be blissfully happy and unaware. Chris decides to return to work at the garage. Desperate to spend time with Noah, Sophie arranges to trade her guitar for a bass. She keeps her plans secret from Kate, who agrees to let Sophie join Noah’s collective. However there’s one hitch, Sophie must trade guitars in the City and she can’t find any one to drive her. What lengths will Sophie go to spend time with Noah? Thurs 15th Sept Furious that Sophie ditched school, Kate embarrasses her in front of Noah. However when Sophie challenges Kate about being no fun she worries Sophie may be right. Jade suggests she lighten up a bit but Kate insists this is what it takes to raise a teenager. Determined to act her age for once, she and Jade head off for a night on the town. Chris decides to return to work at the garage, but under one condition. Andrew convinces him to place a bargaining chip on his return. Will Lucas agree to his terms? With the council meeting fast approaching, battle lines are drawn and the growing community discontent has Toadie worried. Peter insists he’ll handle the meeting, saving Toadie until they really need him. But when Peter sees the opposition Paul and Kyle have rallied he calls on Toadie to allay their concerns. Finally learning Toadie’s representing the development, will Paul, Kyle or the community let him get away with it? Fri 16th Sept Toadie is forced to speak on behalf of the shopping centre development at the council meeting, however he struggles to keep it together. Toadie tries to sell the benefits. However under attack from Paul, he struggles to keep it together. Left feeling confident he’s done enough to sway the councillors, Paul suggests that Toadie was only headhunted because of this specific case and his pull with the community. When Toadie confronts his boss, Peter confirms this was a bonus, but it was his skills as a lawyer that actually landed him the job. Reassured by Peter, and then again when the Council approves the development Toadie is relieved. But will a furious Paul Robinson accept defeat? Tired after her big night, Jade finds the kitchen in a mess and the dishes still not done. When she points out that it’s his turn on the chore roster to do them, Rhys waves off her nagging, telling her he’ll do them later. But when he doesn’t, Jade decides he needs to be taught a lesson. Copping a blast for her immaturity and pettiness after ruining his neatly ironed shirt, Jade realises that he has been desperately organising a surgical placement, and the shirt she’s ruined was for his interview. How will she make it up to him? This post has been edited by wilding: 04/09/2011, 06:29 PM |

Her dad has been telling Tash that her mum didn't like the beach. Tonight Michael was reading a newspaper clipping about a woman who drowned at a beach. Michael has must of told Tash she died another way. The aunty should be showing up soon so it should all come out then.
