First Response Midstream
1. Have you experienced evaporation lines? No
2. Have you experienced false positives? No
3. If applicable, how early did you get a legitimate + result? 9 DPO
Overall 10/10 - Tested at 8DPO and got a BFN tested a day later and got a clear BFP original.gif Highly recommend them as last month when not pg I got very clear BFN no guessing etc

In Pregnancy (ebay cheapie)
1. Have you experienced evaporation lines? No
2. Have you experienced false positives? No
3. If applicable, how early did you get a legitimate + result? 11DPO got very very a faint one the day before
Overall 8/10 - These are great if you dont mind not testing to early, after 11DPO the became quite clear. Great for POAS addicts or people who want to keep checking the line is getting darker etc as the are sooo cheap original.gif

Now for OPKs

First Response OPK
6/10 were very hard to read as I kept getting positives for ages when I knew id finished ovulating!

In Pregnancy OPK (Internet cheapie)
10/10 Highly recommend these the were very clear and even faded in and out around ovulation. Cheap to so you can use heaps. My top choice!!

HPTs

Confirm
1. Have you experienced evaporation lines? No
2. Have you experienced false positives? No
3. If applicable, how early did you get a legitimate + result? 12 DPO - faint but clear as day original.gif
Overall 11/10 - I don't believe it's real until I see a nice line on a Confirm!

Forelife Ultra Plus (by Fortel)
1. Have you experienced evaporation lines? No
2. Have you experienced false positives? YES!!! Came up well within the timeframe and was definitely not an evap line, grrrrr.
3. If applicable, how early did you get a legitimate + result? N.A
Overall minus 10,000/10 - Bad, bad, bad, bad, thought there was no such things as a false BFP until I used these rubbish tests.

OPKs

Confirm OPK
5/10 - I never got a line as dark as the control but I drink a fair amount of water so maybe too diluted?

Lullaby Conceptions OPK (ic)
10/10 Only used them for one month but got a definite positive and they are much cheaper than the Confims.

Pregnow

1. Have you experienced evaporation lines? No
2. Have you experienced false positives? No
3. If applicable, how early did you get a legitimate + result. Never - for some reason they don't seem to like my wee - ie they don't work at all for me (won't take up my urine). I think they cheap for a reason. I've used Confirm's on the same batch of urine with no problems, gotten BFPs
4. Rate the test out of 10. 0

same. kept giving BFN at 20DPO but no problem getting BFP with another test (unsure which)

Due to popular demand this list has been put together to show the average sensitivity of HPT's. If there are other tests you have tried and know please let me know and I will add it to the list. This will come together to form a basic guide for those wishing to choose a test brand.

Fortel Ultra ? 10mlU
Pregnow - 10ml
Fortel extra - 25mlU
Pregnosis - 25mlU
Answer Early Result Pregnancy Test - 25mlU
Assurance Plus - 25mIU
Crystal Clear - 25mIU
Discover One Step - 25 mlU
Confirm ? 25mIU
Assurance ? 25mIU
Clear blue +/- - 25 - 50 mlU
Clear blue digital ? 50mIU
First response - 25 - 100mlU

Now for the ratings side...

4 questions for each test you are rating (please keep answers short, yes or no and DPO):

1. Have you experienced evaporation lines?
2. Have you experienced false positives?
3. If applicable, how early did you get a legitimate + result?
4. Rate the test out of 10.

1 = very bad
5 = O.K
10 = Highly recommended

You can also refer to THIS site though it is American I believe and some of the test values are not necessarily the same as ours.

The amount of HCG detected by the brand...so the smaller the number the more sensitive the test and the earlier detection...don't feel silly...don't ask and you stay in the dark biggrin.gif
