I use a couple of primers by Mirenesse, they make your foundation last longer and they help with shine. I used to think they were just another product that I didn't need, until I started using them.

I agree. I used to think primers were just another way to get money out of us at the counter. That was until I started using one. I've only ever tried the Shiseido one and also the Napoleon one. I thought the Napoleon one was a lot better.

Vanessa - I've never tried Mirenesse's foundations because i've never actually seen them around in the shops but I was given their mascara which I adore. Where do you buy the products from, online ?

Re: makeup primers

I found Natio Illuminating Primer to be fantastic (only around $14). Not as expensive as others and is non silicone-based. The ones heavy with silicone break my skin out. Primers are great because they make your makeup application smoother and easier plus they make it last longer.

My sister was the one that put me on to Mirenesse (she's a beauty therapist/make up artist) about 18 months ago. She had some foundation samples that I was able to try and I couldn't believe how good it was, having been buying ever since, they have the best mascara too.

Like just about everything else I buy, I get it online. http://www.mirenesse.com/

I use Napolean and Clinque. Both really good brands IMO but if I had to choose one, I would pick Napolean.

I love Napolean, Auto pilot!!
I'm used to using theatre makeups that a VERY heavy and VERY thick.
I am NOT an everyday makeup person but I found them absolutely fool-proof.

PS Primers are a way to go, much easier to remove makeup, looks after your skin better. I use them for facepainting too.

Cobwebs are the new black!
I have just started buying Maybelline Liquid Mousse.
It looks awesome on and feels so light and silky.

My philosophy, like color TV, is all there in black and white

All foundations are better if you use a good primer.

I just found this out!

I have *cough* "mature" skin and was using Nude By Nature and like it better than anything I've tried over the years for the coverage, but found it could settle into the, ummm, "maturity" lines on my skin. I bought the Nude By Nature primer the other day and it's made a huge difference. Fresh and dewy as a daisy, I look. Sort of. A daisy picked a few years ago, anyway laughing2.gif.

I love mineral make-ups as well. I have used the Nude by Nature but changed to Sheer Cover (yes I know its on tv lol). Sheer cover seems to blend better with my skin tone.
I'm really happy with it.
