Royal Carribean has a nursery for those under 3....great for having dinner!
We took DS (when he was 10 months) on a 12 night South Pacific Cruise on Radiance of the Seas.....LOVED IT. The nursery was great...only downside is the hours werent released until on board, but we worked around that. When it wasn't open as a 'dropoff nursery' it was an open play room. Kids can't use the pools until toilet trained, even in swim nappies. How old are your kids? They have MyTime dining which means you can book your dinner time each day, rather than a set time. And they also have FamilyTime Dining (or something similar) where for kids over 3 they serve the kids with your entree then take the kids away for activities while you finish dinner. |

Well my kids stay up until all hours, we have no routine when we go on holidays.
And the kids clubs are open until 10:00pm. And I think later for the teenage lounges. You can get a babysitter (at an additional cost) but we've never had to though, like I said my kids are up & about. |

kids are currently 6, 5, 3 an 9mo.
We have not been on a family holiday as I do not want to be stuck looking after kids the whole time, just in a different location!!! I actually want some time out from them and to be able to swim/relax/eat dinner without having to look after them, be interrupted, be stuck in a room while they sleep!!! I keep looking at the Fiji resorts, but will need to save a bit longer as when we go, we will NOT all be in one room!!! |

I have only taken teenagers but yes I would do it. It is a great way for parents to have a family holiday that everyone can enjoy.
(Also enjoyed family holidays in Fiji with resorts with kids clubs - really great) This post has been edited by mudskippa: 25/05/2012, 10:29 AM |

We are going on a Disney cruise out of LA in September with our four kids, so I'll be able to tell you our experience once we return.
Mamabug, we are booked in two interconnecting cabins, most cruise ships have them. I've noticed with the P&O ones you have to book quite early to secure them, they don't have as many connecting rooms available. |

I'm glad someone mentioned the children need to be toilet trained to swim in the pools, I didn't know that. Will have to make toilet training my youngest is a priority before we go.
