DD3.5 is having major clothing tanty's. She will not wear what I want to put on her. Refuses to wear pants/trackies/jeans etc. only dresses and skirts. She's a real girly girl (and I am not!).

I do not have a problem with this except.....

a) Its starting to get cold - so most of her summer dresses are out

b) I have no idea about fashion!!

So...where do it start? How do I dress her for winter in dresses and skirts?

Please help - I am completely useless!! lol

Tights, leggings, boots are your best friends.

Never forget who you are, little star
Pinafores made from velvet/corduroy/heavy cotton/drill/denim with a L/S top underneath and a pair of leggings or patterned tights, Mary Jane style shoes with velcro straps. I'm not a fan of boots on very little girls, or anything that looks even slightly grown up.

Tights and leggings. That how I keep Miss 'I must wear my ballerina skirt' warm in winter.

I had one of these DD's too - don't fret - cheap plain coloured leggings from Big W / Best & Less etc as well as long sleeve T-shirt style tops will be your saviour. She can still wear her dresses and skirts but with the extra layers. Stockings can also be an option!!

If it helps, take her shopping to pick out her own colours.
Good luck!!

I'm a girly girl too biggrin.gif But I have 2 boys!
I would get thick leggings/tights and cardigan or long sleeve top to wear under the dress. I still wear dresses when it's cold, just with more layers original.gif

Ta Da!
Leggings, stockings, tights underneath skirts and dresses. Even leg wamers/baby legs would do the trick.
Long sleeve top or skivvy under a dress

I've even resorted to a long sleeve top and leggings/tights under a summer dress when I have been desperate.

DD is 2.5yrs and saying 'no pants' (but also most often no skirt as well rolleyes.gif ).

She won't put on leggings/tights. So I have discovered Babylegs to cover up her legs from ankle to thigh.

DS1 and DS2 are much easier to dress.... I put out clothes and they put it on.

leggings or tights, DD always hated jeans and cords but she loves her leggings (even as pants Tounge1.gif)
