I'm looking for a good place SOR (we're in Southern River) for horse riding lessons for our daughter (5 in September).

Any recommendations? And how much?

Hey there original.gif
Champion lakes riding school is on lake road at the ranford road/masters end, so only a few mins or so from you.
It's a really nice environment, there is chooks and ducks and even a Roo, and all the girls there are lovely.
My DD started lessons there a few weeks ago for her 6th birthday present. She loves it original.gif
They do led pony rides around the property for 10 , 20 or 30 mins if you just want to see how DD goes or to get a feel for the place. original.gif

Travelling along Ranford Rd towards Armadale, go over the Tonkin hwy lights and take the first turn left.

A couple of years ago I found a riding school down there, but I don't know what it's called.

Sorry to hijack but Gosh this thread reminded me of when I was about 13 and did horse riding at Broadacres - does anyone remember this place ?? It was a place I went often, they did horse riding trails and lessons - I'm sure its not there anymore. Thinking it was sort of near Belmont - I cant even remember exactly.

Learnt to see the world differently through ASD.
DD1 currently does riding Lessons at Champion Lakes Riding Centre on a fortnightly basis. She started there in Term 1 and is now moved up a level. Before moving her lessons to a friday, she was also doing Riding for the Disabled in Oakford and after 3 yrs have left there as she is getting more out of Champion Lakes.

The girls are very happy to have DD1 there and haven't found her having Autism an issue. She has also done a day long camp during the holidays.

The cost at Champion lakes is $60 for a 1 hr lesson (DD1 does this) or $35 for 30 minutes.

The one on the corner of McNeal and Ranford has closed down due to family reasons, I believe.

sick of CHAOS? then FLY...
I was quite interested in lessons but did a little bit of reading and am now quite wary - more to do with whether the horses are being genuinely cared for and well treated more than anything.
So that would be at the top of my list, then location/cost iykwim.
Good luck finding somewhere original.gif
