I had an Iphone and when it died a premature death, useless heap of junk! I bought a HTC and I am happy with it. I do miss itunes. It is a lot easier to transfer files and photos than the iphone, mine wouldn't transfer photos at all.
The HTC is a lot sturdier, I have dropped it a few times without issue, and heaps cheaper.

Oh and mobile coverage is better on the HTC.
c4a79, the camera on my htc is heaps better than the one on my iphone ever was, easier to use.
And the mirror and torch are real, not just a app like the iphone, which is handy for me scratching around under car seats in the dark lol.

Proud mummy of 2 gorgeous boys with a surprise bundle on the way
I too was tossing up between an iphone, HTC and Samsung Galaxy SII. I didnt go with the iphone as i dont like how both the front and back screen is glass so if you drop it you are up for a new screen meaning more money and the battery isnt the best. The galaxy too didnt have the best battery life and so i went with the HTC Sensation XL. I love it, easy to use and i charge it every 2nd day but if used more than normal i get a day then charge it again.

I definately choose the HTC over the iphone.

This topic made me lol. I recently got an iPhone for work and love it so much don't know how I coped without it. Last week my brother in law gave dh a htc as he upgraded and I swear he has hardly looked up since. Always showing me every.single.dumb. Thing it can do or the stupid settings he has customised it with.
Does my head in.
My vote IPhone

an iphone, HTC and Samsung Galaxy SII.

They're all good phones. My parents have an HTC, I have an iPhone.
IMO, the iPhone is a little easier to use, they've just got a slightly better, more intuitive interface in most cases.

Android will give you greater flexibility in some areas, but you need to be a bit of a techie to take advantage of that.

i had a HTC and had so many problems with it-
would randomly turn itself off
alarms wouldn't go off
sms's would go missing
wouldn't ring if someone called me
apps would delete themselves

i sent it away twice and it came back saying nothing was wrong so i bought an iphone outright and have been using that since.
my HTC contract only ran out in Jan so i was paying $20 a month for the past 18 months for a phone that was sitting in a drawer.

hhmm....it seems to be a split decision! I went into Telstra and had a look at a couple of phones. I do like the iPhone but it does seem a bit fragile with all that glass. They had lots of HTC's there, I like the smaller ones (can't remember the name) and I really liked the look of the Samsung Galaxy ll (or whatever it is). Does anyone have one of them??

I have a HTC Legend.

I have had random things happen to mine as well. No sound when ringing sometimes or it just plain doesn't ring at all. Mine has turned itself off in the past as well. Nothing is wrong with it though. rolleyes.gif

I can't wait until my contract is finished and would even consider getting something sooner. I would probably choose between a Samsung and the iphone4s.

I have an SGSII and love it original.gif
The camera is awesome too.

I have recently had a few people ask me how to do stuff on an iPhone, so they can't be all that intuitive?
