Late last year my husband lost his beloved iPod - when I say lost I mean some a*sehole stole it on the train on the day his best friend died and he was a bit distracted travelling home.
Anyway, he's decided maybe he should get a smart phone and likes the Samsung Galaxy II. Is it just a simple matter of hooking the Samsung up to itunes and moving all his music onto it? Clearly we are not very good at this stuff!! |

I haven't put music on my Samsung Galaxy S but I have put Movies/TV on it. You don't use iTunes, you just move across the underlying file (ie. mp3 for music, mp4/avi for movies/tv).

AFAIK, iTunes only works with apple products; iPhone, iPod etc...

If his music files are stores as MP3s you can move them over directly from the file they are stored in. If the are AAC files (which is itunes default format) they will only work on apple products.

Clearly we are not very good at this stuff!! I doubt he will be able to connect his Samsung to itunes. Itunes is for apple products. There will be software shipped with the phone or he can use windows media player. |

Ok, that is what I suspected! I will be back to pick your brains once he is closer to making a decision - could be a while, decision making is not his strong suit!

Why doesn't he just get an iPhone 4? Then it connects to iTunes
